Our uncle recommended this restaurant. It had a warm and welcoming ambiance. Their staff were very attentive and friendly. We tried the following dishes: * Carnitas Tacos - This was served with rice, beans with a choice of the soft tortilla. Savory and delicious. The meat was on spot! * Burrito de Bacon - Sorry, forgot to take a photo of this! This was under the Burrito de Huevo group. I like that this is served all day long! It had scrambled eggs, rice, beans, cheese and bacon. I think my sauce was forgotten, but it was okay. I was already hungry haha. It was a big serving for me and took half of it home. * Deep Fried Ice Cream - We tried this out of curiosity! It was vanilla iced cream inside a crispy shell. In my opinion, the shell was made with some churro batter and corn flakes. The whip cream, chocolate and strawberry syrups added some extra sweet flavor. It was yummy. There is a private parking lot. Service A+, Chile Relleno, taco and menudo A+, and the vibe made me feel like I was in a little cantina in Mexico. The staff waiting on us was great. They were attentive and very sweet. One of the greatest staples in Westminster, my parents went on dates here and now I do too. Went after years of not going and definitely hit the spot. Two cheese enchiladas are my go too after becoming a vegetarian. Pair that with an horchata and it becomes an S tier date. My boyfriend got the two chile rellenos for the first time and he was impressed with the flavors and amazing service. Great place for el pastor tacos. I have seen this place gets packed for karaoke and I decided to try the tacos. I prefer flour tortillas and they have the option to get flour with any taco. I got two el pastor and one carnitas taco. Last time I added shredded cheese this time I got cotija instead but I think I prefer the shredded. The el pastor was good quality with chunks of pineapple paired with the seasoned pork sooo delicious. I also got agua de tamarindo for a drink and it was good I believe it was fresh and tasty. Not impressed. The fish was not fresh nor well marinated. The tortillas were very thick and having them doubled for each taco was too much carb and didn't balance well with the fish and cabbage portions. Plus, they were not flavorful. Their lunch specials are reasonable and outstanding. I usually get cheese enchiladas or chile rellenos but today I got the Shrimp Cocktail. I forgot how good it is and so satisfying, lots of shrimp, red onions, avocado and cucumber. It's the best I have ever had anyplace. The service is so friendly, especially the owner Maria. We needed to kill time on Labor Day and found La Casa Brito in a little shopping center in Westminster. So happy we got to try the weekday specials, Monday-Friday 9am-3pm! Its a cozy restaurant that has lots of seating. You get free chips and salsa (a little spicy, very delicious) and drinks right away. Service was excellent from start to finish! My boyfriend got the chorizo burrito (8.99) and short stack (5.99). I got the chilaquiles verdes (13.99). Everything was delicious! I lovedddd the salsa they used for the chilaquiles, and the chorizo burrito was super flavorful. We think the portions were great for the breakfast special prices. As always it's a wonderful time when I eat here. I stopped by yesterday with my husband & mama bear. I was wondering if Doña Mari was there & to our surprise she was :D This woman has known me since I was a child! If you're a Westminster person & you don't know what's up with La Casa Brito idk what to tell you expect go. I've never in the 20+ years of coming here with my loved ones ever have ever had a negative experience here. The food is always good & the customer service is fantastic. Doña Mari is a true Westminster, CA. icon & I'm giving this update to give her the flowers she deserves. In all the years I've been blessed to encounter her she is always so positive, feeding great energy, & serving with pride and much heart. It was such a great experience overall! The decorations inside the restaurant makes it look more like an actual Mexican restaurant, not like an American-Mexican restaurant. The place clean and well organized. Our waitress name was María Félix! She had the most amazing attitude, very friendly, attentive, kind, and knowledgeable. We had lunch there, it was about 3:30 pm on a Saturday. The place was not very busy yet, we were trying to beat the crowd. The food came out quickly and looked delicious! And the taste did NOT disappoint. Our plates were cooked to perfection and the food quantity is plenty. They have the quantity and the quality to have to wanting to come back. This Mexican restaurant is located on Westminster and Edwards...in the plaza where there's a Kabob Gril and a bar called Csest Dibone. My friend introduce me to this place and wanted me to try it since he knows I love big portions. There's plenty of parking but can be pack at night. Inside looks appealing. Between covid and now, there was a little remodeling. Only regulars can tell the difference. Complimentary chips and salsa are served. They do have a Yelp check-in offer of free drink so I got the usual Dr. Pepper. Every time I get the chance to come here, they always served fresh chips and salsa. Because of covid, prices are raised on certain items. I got the chimichanga which is a deep fried burrito with a choice of carne asada, chicken or beef. And it's served with rice and beans. I got the carne asada. As before, it is still delicious. What's more important: the rice isn't mushy and refried beans has they distinct taste i remember. Overall, it was like covid never happen. Little Mexican restaurant tucked away in a run down strip mall. It's the good food you need when that "I gotta have Mexican food" craving hits. The wet burrito sauce is so tasty. I ordered a Chile relleno burrito. It was huge, ate half and took the rest home. Wife ordered an taco and enchilada plate. Again ate half and took the rest home. Chips and salsa are complementary. It is the Cinco de Mayo day. A time to join celebratory foodists for Mexican fare. La Casa Brito was one we remember from many years ago. A thought was to check on LA Casa Brito for this special day. It is open, and we got lucky to park right up front. We were seated in a booth by a young lady who then took our order and stayed attentive during our lunch. The menu has nice color pages of pretty much standard fare. We were somewhat surprised to see that the price point was a bit higher than what we were used to at similar Mexican restaurants. No matter, we will enjoy the background chatter and see the chef in the kitchen at work. A typical ambiance of soft piped in music was heard. The lovely missus has the Chili Relleno plate. She was happy with her selection. A Mandarin Jarritos for a sweet soda drink, and I had a cinnamon tasty Horchata. My eyes saw the sign at the far counter. LA Casa Brito serves Pozole every day. Wow. I will have a bowl of that. I'm glad I did because it was a red flavorful chili soup base with tender pork chunks and came with all the onions, cabbage, lime, and round fried crispy tortillas. La Casa Brito takes CC for payment, and I added the appropriate tip to the amount. I did not question the $ amounts on the check.
