    Blueberry hibiscus yumminess

Great location, excellent idea: donuts & tacos...wonderful service. We got the warm blueberry hibiscus yumminess. We only got some yummy donuts this trip. It's a shame this is In Saratoga and not closer to home. We will come back for the savory.

Overall, we had a great experience here! The service was very kind and super helpful as we ask questions about the menu items and offerings. We got two types of donuts, the maple bacon, and the blueberry hibiscus. The maple bacon was very bacon forward, you really couldn't taste any maple. The blueberry hibiscus were flavored with flavor crystals rather than actual blueberries or anything else really. But both donuts were lovely and freshly made all the tacos were great except my mahi tacos. The fish unfortunately was dry as a bone. They do have tables along the wall to sit at and some tables outside to sit out if you're there for lunch. There is typically a line out the door, so I wouldn't suggest thinking that you were going to find a table. This place is definitely more geared toward take out orders. Fresca's were super delicious! I got the passionfruit, but I preferred the guava. Everything was nicely flavored and they had a nice assortment of hot sauces.

"We paid $15.00 for chips and salsa." was a quote from my husband. My husband went here in the winter and really raved about how awesome it was and wanted to take us as a family, as we recently moved back to my hometown from Texas. We have found one taco place we go to, but it's pretty far, so we went to try. I would say it was middle of the road tacos and expensive for the tacos. My cilantro had a good amount of stems in it and I much prefer just the petals. Definitely appreciated the radishes. We are still in search of a taqueria that has cucumbers with Tajín as a side dish. As for the donuts, those are put together with particularity and you can tell they take pride in their donuts. My daughter got the maple bacon donuts and she really enjoyed them. There was plenty to share among three of us for dessert. So if you go with a friend who doesn't mind sharing, highly recommend one 6-pack. Service was standard for a quick pay at the counter place and it was nice that they have a lot of hot sauces to choose from! For three people, our pay at the counter bill for 9 tacos, 3 drinks and chips and salsa was $85.00. This would have been $50.00 in Austin TX (which does have the same cost of living, if not higher than Saratoga springs NY). Giving a 4 out of 5, because my husband has had multiple 5 out of 5 experiences. Ambiance is limited due to not having a lot of space for guests to eat, this is a high take out location.

Everything here is amazing. But I'm addicted to their donuts. The raspberry cheese cake is the favorite of my sisters. I love all of them. We went there 3 times this weekend. They accidentally omitted my key lime pie donuts, and when I returned the next day they happily gave them to me. Love the food, love the owners. They run a great business.

The cauliflower burrito! It is a large size! Don't let the picture fool you! My husband has LARGE hands!

This is my first time at Taquero and I am thrilled I bought take out from them! There is dine-in seating along a wall that can accommodate eight people I think. The entire establishment is colorful, and super clean! I had a cucumber lime Aqua Fresca while we waited for our order to be prepared. It was delicious!! I wish it was a little bit more lime tasting. I can squeeze fresh lime into it next time I go! They also offer horchata, and Jamaica Aqua Fresca! $3.25 for a ln ample serving! We ordered one carnitas bowl, a cauliflower burrito, and 3 chicken Tinga street tacos. I also asked for a side serving of just Barbacoa for our dog. We didn't receive the Barbacoa, nor were we charged for it. The portions are very large. I will easily have two meals from my Carnitas bowl. They have take out packets of various hot sauces! It looks like there might be a lunch counter style seating set up outside in warmer weather. Not completely certain about that. AND!!! They have fresh from the donut maker mini donuts! OMG! We got six cinnamon sugar. They were still warm and absolutely swoon worthy! I will definitely be back!

Tinga De Pollo Street Tacos, Cookies 'n Cream donuts

this is a takeout place. i always get the tinga de pollo street tacos (with soft corn tortillas) with an extra side of salsa. the chicken is well seasoned and very juicy and they give you limes with the street tacos. they are doubled wrapped (great bc the tortillas fall apart when too wet). this is my favorite taco place around here. their donuts are also amazing as well. each type is a basic cinnamon sugar donut with whichever toppings you choose. the maple bacon is very good, with a lot of bacon for a nice sweet/salty. the cookies and cream is sweet all the way through but still delicious and true to form. the service is very fast, if you order online it'll be ready in 10 mins. for a takeout place the ambiance is nice and welcoming. ordering online is very easy and streamlined. highly recommend! they also do taco boxes if you're looking for a party food

The strangest food combo ever! The tacos were a pass for me, lacking flavor and spice. However the donuts redeemed this place. The cinnamon sugar donuts were small, warm, freshly made and delicious. We ordered 6 and were given 8 (I'm not complaining). The danger of a small treat is you don't feel as guilty when they're small and pop right in your mouth.

These donuts hit after a night out. Don't skip the blueberry flavor. 5 stars for sure.

I can put down quite a bit of food so if I order the "three traditional tacos" then I'm usually left wanting just one more... so I typically go for the burrito to try and fill up a bit more. The chorizo is delicious and seasoned very well. The salsa verde that is served with each taco/burrito is also delicious. During winter they put up some "bubble" tents outside with heaters. They don't have much seating inside and if the restaurant is busy then you might be caught in a pickle... but I've been lucky enough to find a free table here reliably. I've been visited by out-of-state friends a few times and I typically introduce them to this restaurant (as one of my local favorites) and they usually love it.

This stretch of…read moreSchenectady offers some diverse family-owned restaurants - Pakistani, El Salvadorian, Jamaican, etc., to name a few. In this case, the cuisine offered at Los Chamos is Venezuelan. Upon entering the establishment, I noticed a music/karaoke machine in the front corner. Tables were interspersed in the main area which surrounded a bar and ordering station. A preteen sat at one of the tables, playing on her phone. A young man worked the ordering station. Early on a Saturday afternoon, noticing a fridge with beers displayed, I ordered a Modelo and looked through the menu. I ordered a Chile Colorado and empanadas con pollo to go. Two things right off the bat - 1. First taste - It was good food. It was satisfying in a way that spoke of generational recipes rather than or despite culinary training. It is soul satisfying stuff. 2. If you can finish this meal in one sitting, good on you! Generous portions and the heartiness of the meal add to the "warmth" of the experience. A couple of details - the mayonnaise-based sauce for the empanadas was something I'd never tried before - lots of garlic, cilantro, a bit of water to loosen it, maybe some vinegar for acid...I liked it. The braised black beans had a little chili heat to liven it up. I'll definitely go back. I may not be fluent in Spanish or be knowledgeable about Venezuela but I find the food to be inviting and soulful.

It is good to see, at long last, a Venezuelan restaurant in New York's Capital District. You may…read morefind yourself meandering by on the State Street sidewalk, with tumbleweed of cigarette butts and trash blowing across your unsheathed feet, and pass by Los Chamos. It is indeed worth going inside for a delicious meal. Los Chamos' menu has a good selection that includes many traditional Venezuelan dishes: pabellón, arepas, cachapas, tequeños, empanadas. There is also an extremely disconcerting section of the menu devoted to seemingly-Mexican dishes. Perhaps that is to attract customers in an area with a smaller Venezuelan population and a small population of people who are familiar with Venezuelan cuisine. I don't know. But I also don't care. I was, of course, able to sample the pabellón criollo and the tequeños. Astoundingly, tequeños can be a good indicator of quality in Venezuelan restaurants in the US, and these ones pass the test. They also have moñongos, an item from Zulia (and it shows) that is effectively a thick tequeño with ham and plantain and meat as well. Healthy? Tasty. The venue has a decent amount of seating and the staff are friendly. They also sell a small selection of Venezuelan products, such as ovomaltina and Savoy chocolates. If you live in the area and have never tried Venezuelan food, now is your opportunity to do so. It's not spicy either, for those of you with weak stomachs. Overall, I would highly recommend Los Chamos. Hopefully their business succeeds.
