A taco trailer, rather than a truck, but still some of my favorite al pastor tacos anywhere. Closed on Wednesdays, which is always difficult to remember, this place is also a favorite for pretty much everyone in my family. In the mornings, I like their egg and sausage or egg and chorizo, al pastor on corn with cilantro and onions is my go-to for lunch. The tacos are always piping hot and you can grab a Mexican Coke to go with them, if you'd like to eat at the picnic table there or in your car. The folks who run the truck are friendly and fast - everything you want when you're looking for a taco. If you wanted to grab some to take over to the beach, they'll still be plenty warm when you get to the pavilions to sit down. Bring cash, it's worth it. read more

Food was good & made to order . Our group all said the they would definitely go back . I tried the mini tacos & they were yummy . They don't take debit or credit cards so make sure you have cash. Ordered the barbacoa and charro beans Friday morning for breakfast before a beach trip and it was seriously some of the best barbacoa I've had in a while. I usually go with salsa verde but that salsa roja was absolutely corn tortillas were also really good. read more

Delicious, Authentic Mexican tacos and more!! You know a taco stand is authentic when they have lengua on the menu! I ordered the mini taquitos plate, with carne asada, pastor and chicken. All were really tasty, some of the best I've had, with great marinades. Came with beans, lime, cilantro, onions, jalapeño, green and red salsas. Good prices for the value. Good customer service. Overall the food was great but the service was pretty bad. We ordered barbacoa and we all enjoyed it but the person taking care of us was pretty rude. We asked if they had coffee since it was pretty early. The lady said yes but there was only four left so we took them. One of us accidentally spilled their coffee and asked for extra napkins. We were given 4 paper napkins although we explained twice we wanted to clean a big spill in our table. We ended up having to eat around the spill. Then we asked if they happen to have anymore coffee, the lady asked "for how many?" We said we just needed one and she said they didn't have anymore and explained that it wasn't worth it making extra coffee for just one person. read more

Also closed Wednesday which sucks because sometimes you just crave their tortas al pastor . Definitely one place I'll miss when I leave Rockport . Most amazing breakfast tacos ever and I am a very good cook. Idk what they do in that food truck but the eggs are freaking gourmet! Ordered Migas taco and a sausage and egg taco. This trailer was very busy but we didn't think it was anything too amazing. The flour tortillas seemed store-bought and like they had been under a warmer for a while, almost fluffy-like. The breakfast tacos had good portions and the red salsa was good with a nice kick. read more

I came to Rockport to visit my retired parents, and as soon as I arrived, I just KNEW his town would have amazing tacos, and I was not wrong. I searched online for any quirky, non-chain taqueria and found Taquitos El Guero. As a Guero myself, I instantly was attracted to this taqueria. We all piled in the car and headed to the spot. There was already a line at 9:00 am, a good sign. Peking can be tricky, but no true Texan lets anything stop them from authentic tacos. We ordered, all five of us, and we sat at the picnic table while our order was being made. I had the tacos de chorizo, and my family the usual bacon/sausage variety. They came out quickly and were really, really, really good! The corn tortillas were soft, and the chorizo had lots of flavor. The salsa tasted homemade and they were piping hot! We ordered another bag to go as we were headed to the aquarium in Corpus and needed road fuel. If you are ANYWHERE near Rockport, go see the ladies and guys at Taqueria El Guero.
