    Sticky toffee pudding

The restaurant is small but cozy inside. The service was top notch, they were always by for drinks, food or anything we needed. The food was excellent! For dessert we ordered the sticky toffee pudding and they also brought out a complementary chocolate cake for my birthday, so nice! Next time I'm in New York I will dine there again

I used to visit the restaurant in Bryan Park, which is why I knew about this location however I will say that the Bryan Park location was far more inviting and beautiful. I do enjoy the space as well as all of them food and coffee options that they have and so I will definitely be back. I think this staff is super professional and extremely helpful, they also don't try and rush you out of your seat, which is important because I take quite a few meetings here. I would definitely recommend getting a reservation, especially on the weekends.

The service was exceptional, so attentive. The low lighting, artistic, high class syle of the venue was really nice. My scallops entree was delicious, cooked perfectly and the textures and flavors melted together so nicely.

Good food, but nothing particularly special. Service is excellent. Cocktails are good. Wine list is ok, but very basic. The room is beautiful. Vibe is subdued.

This restaurant/bar has a nice ambiance. I had booked as a happy hour spot with colleagues, as I saw there was a Happy Hour menu (named "Social hour"). I didn't know until we got to the restaurant that it's only available at the bar. While I wasn't surprised by this rule, I wished it was more public on the website or the online menu. It is fine for 1-2 people to enjoy but when it's a larger group bar seating isn't optimal. It also was a shame that since we were the only diners there for almost 40 min they weren't willing to move us, but I wouldn't ding them any points for that. The soocial hour cocktails were good (priced at $12). The food, even with happy hour prices, were on the pricier end.

Fantastic food, great service, and ambience was nice. Really enjoyed the appetizer. They seem to do all food well for a reasonable price. If you are looking for an upscale feeling without the price tag this is a choice spot. The ambiance is not anything particularly special, but that doesn't mean it's not nice. Low lit, calm vibe.

The service and ambiance was excellent. We went for late lunch and the restaurant was pretty empty except for 2 tables. The food was underwhelming. The tuna tartar was overly salty; good thing it was pair with the lettuce to cut the salt. Rissoto was too hard and my friend complained that the mussels didn't taste fresh. The duck pasta was also disappointing. Duck was dry and the pasta tastes like dry pasta. I was expecting fresh pasta. The squash was very flat and one dimensional. Overall, I would recommend going elsewhere for good food.

Stopped by L'Adresse for dinner and drinks, and it didn't disappoint. The menu has a great mix of contemporary dishes, but the starters really stole the show for us. Highlights: * The Oysters: Super clean and fresh. Came with a great mignonette and cocktail sauce. * Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna: This was the winner of the night. The texture was spot on--crispy on the bottom, soft rice inside, and the tuna topping was generous. * Cocktails: We tried a couple of their signature drinks. The berry smash (the red one) was fantastic over crushed ice, and the grapefruit cocktail was super refreshing. The interior is chic and lively with a really cool European vibe. Service was solid, and the atmosphere makes you want to stay for 'just one more' round. Will be back

A pleasant dinner here. Friendly staff and servers come to fill the water cups numerous times. Crispy calamari was crispy and delicious with zucchini rings. Truffle mushroom gnocchi was really good. Sticky toffee pudding was unique. A perfect place to unwind after a day walking around so much! The manager came by to check on us a few times. Their attention details and water filling, scrape the crumb before dessert was served showed a fine dining experience. The staff, room ambiance were extra kudo points in earning the 5-star rating. There are plenty of places to eat in NY, but this is a place to worth a try!

Excellent ambience and great for business dinner. Chic. French/ American modern bistro. Great service with host, sitting 3 of us in a quiet table appropriate for conversation. Awesome cocktails with generous pour, calamari, Seabass, espresso all delicious and well balance. Great location next to Ritz Carlton

We reserved for a quick bite at Redeye Grill before catching Dog Day Afternoon on Broadway, but as soon as we walked up, some bouncer told us they were closed for a private wedding reception. We were dazed and confused because how was I able to reserve online? But the real plot twist was that it ended up being the best thing that happened. We actually stumbled into Tanner Smith's thinking it'd be the typical, boring bar-food spot. Nope. They first sat us at a hi-top by the door, but that wasn't our vibe, so we grabbed seats at the bar instead. Best decision. Our bartender, Josiah, was absolutely killing it. My cocktail had passion fruit, so of course I asked my usual question: "But is it real passion fruit?" He just nodded in agreement and that told me everything I needed to know. That drink was legit and had nice strength. The food was great too. My fish tacos were packed with fresh fish, the guacamole and salsa were chunky and full of flavor and hubs enjoyed his pastrami sandwich. I have no clue when we'll be back in Midtown, but one thing's for sure- we're sitting with Josiah again.

Both dishes were great and filling. The cauliflower had a lot of bold flavors! The onion ring on top of the Mac and cheese was a nice touch. I couldn't really taste the truffle but I would still order the dish again.

Two-part, proper settle, tight dome, no rushing it. That's rarer than it should be in Midtown where half the bars treat a stout like a lager. Whoever's behind the bar here has been trained or grew up around it. Food's better than a second-floor pub between 5th and 6th has any right to be. The JRB burger comes on a house-ground patty (they grind in-house, and you can tell, loose texture, actual seasoning), caramelized onions cooked down all the way, not just softened, good cheese pull. Fried pickles on the side had a crisp cornmeal shell and stayed crunchy under the burger juices, which never happens. Buttermilk chicken salad was the surprise. Chicken actually brined, crust stayed on, greens weren't an afterthought. Only real knock: music was loud. Not sports-bar loud, more like the bartender's playlist got away from him. Fine at the bar, harder at a table if you want to talk. Room's got real bones. Reclaimed barn wood, old rail track as a foot rest, that big 45-star flag on the wall. Been here almost 20 years and it's aged into itself. For the neighborhood the pricing's fair. Beats P.J. Clarke's on the burger, loses on quiet. Go for a beer and a burger, not a date.

Reservations open 2 weeks in advance around 10am and they go super fest so I recommend you try for the day you need as for me I could only have gotten brunch on a Sunday. Those people spam the crap out of their buttons for the dinner spots and when I went I can see why. The place is brimming with old school New York charm and it's completely overwhelmingly beautiful and has an old jazzy vibe to it. It's large and spacious and they sat us in the middle of the entire restaurant. (I had a group of 6) The vibe was so good you don't really want to leave and they also don't really kick you out. I think we were the last ones to exit for brunch but they were so nice they didn't kick us out. Their espresso martinis are ok. It wasn't as amazing as a regular cocktail bar but it is just ok. We started off with a shrimp cocktail, smoked whitefish Caesar salad and the two plates of truffle monkey bread which was soooo good. I really enjoyed this as it's the main reason we came here. It's almost like a honey dinner roll with truffle. We got everything next which some people got their own and some shared. Some people got their own American breakfast platter which was some overdone eggs and a meat with gigantic toast and if you only order scrambled eggs it comes in a bowl but I would much rather order their classics like steak sandwich and the spicy shrimp was pretty good! Fries are top tier! I can see why people just come here for dinner. I would give it mostly 5 stars for the overall ambiance and environment and a few classics. I think their old fashioned is better than their espresso martinis though even though it looks so good in this type of setting!
