Highlights: * The Oysters: Super clean and fresh. Came with a great mignonette and cocktail sauce. * Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna: This was the winner of the night. The texture was spot on--crispy on the bottom, soft rice inside, and the tuna topping was generous. * Cocktails: We tried a couple of their signature drinks. Two of my friends were in town and headed to an uber fancy dinner (that I obviously wasn't invited to), but they did deign to meet me for a cocktail beforehand. I thought it should be equally fancy so I brought them here. L'Adresse is an EXCELLENT place for a fancy drink. It's comfortable, elegant with high ceilings and ornate light fixtures that make even the shabbiest, simplest man (me) feel like he's a king for a day. The staff was very sweet despite my obvious scrubbiness, and happily seated us at a banquette with a view of the whole room. As one might expect, the "most affordable" cocktail on the menu is $20, so the menu may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I thoroughly enjoyed my Medicina Latina (as the server said, essentially a Penicillin with agave spirits and some candied ginger). I liked it so much that I had another, because you only live once. Someday I'll return for a full meal, and I imagine it's just as fancy (and hopefully as high quality) as the room, and the cocktails. read more

I used to visit the restaurant in Bryan Park, which is why I knew about this location however I will say that the Bryan Park location was far more inviting and beautiful. I do enjoy the space as well as all of them food and coffee options that they have and so I will definitely be back. I think this staff is super professional and extremely helpful, they also don't try and rush you out of your seat, which is important because I take quite a few meetings here. This restaurant/bar has a nice ambiance. I had booked as a happy hour spot with colleagues, as I saw there was a Happy Hour menu (named "Social hour"). I didn't know until we got to the restaurant that it's only available at the bar. While I wasn't surprised by this rule, I wished it was more public on the website or the online menu. It is fine for 1-2 people to enjoy but when it's a larger group bar seating isn't optimal. It also was a shame that since we were the only diners there for almost 40 min they weren't willing to move us, but I wouldn't ding them any points for that. The duck pasta was also disappointing. Duck was dry and the pasta tastes like dry pasta. I was expecting fresh pasta. The squash was very flat and one dimensional. Sticky toffee pudding was unique. A perfect place to unwind after a day walking around so much! The manager came by to check on us a few times. For a Sat night we were one of 2 tables in the venue so that was a little odd but fine as we weren't looking for a vibe but more just a place with good food where we can catch up! The service is great (to be expected when there's no one else inside), the food was also very good! We started with the focaccia bread and the cheese plate, the bread was soft and fresh with a interesting butter that I didn't love(but I don't love butter). The cheese plate was cubes of cheese surrounding nuts and dried fruit- no crackers but still tasty. For my main I had the scallop and truffle fries. The scallops were absolutely decadent but I did find the portion size to be a bit large - it would have been perfect for sharing but my friend wasn't a seafood lover. The fries were great and also a hearty portion that never seemed to end! The desserts were definitely underwhelming- we had the basque cheesecake and the crème brûlée, truthfully both were not memorable at all. read more

Oh my. What a shocker. Well below average. First off, took our order and then came back to tell us they were completely out of the Chilean Seabass. Bummer. We then chose the New York strip, which was completely flavorless. The all-time insult to the chef is we then asked for ketchup, just to swallow it. I don't think I've had a catch up on a steak in over 15 years. The cook on the steak was OK. We both asked for it medium. I ate only about a quarter of mine my partner ate half. Mushroom flatbread had great truffle flavor and easy to share. The calamari was crispy but not over fried, perfectly seasoned, and paired with a nice dipping sauce. The seafood risotto was creamy and delicious. The truffle burger was packed with truffle slices and flavor, although quite expensive for a burger. The steak frites were a bit disappointing: nicely cooked but significantly under seasoned. Especially given how expensive the steak frites is, would not recommend that dish. Cocktails were delicious and come in cute (although small) coup glasses. The flourless chocolate cake was dry and the cranberry accompaniment was too tart - would skip on this. Came here for brunch and took advantage of the restaurant week fixed menu- 2 courses for $45. I chose the Truffle Omelette and Matcha French Toast. The omelette was incredible! It had truffle cream side and was topped with more mushrooms and truffles. Perfectly fluffy, juice, and flavorful- perfect for any truffle lover. The matcha French toast was a delight as well. Incredibly fluffy and yummy! Since both were full sized dishes so I had half of both packed. Getting two meals out of this was the whole reason I chose the fixed menu offer so I was HUGELY bummed out when I realized back home that they gave me someone else's random sandwich leftovers. Really delicious food and great service. We came for dinner on a Saturday night (we had a reservation) and while the restaurant was busy, it wasn't too loud. The restaurant itself is big, high ceilings, a big bar and nicely decorated. The service was very attentive (our water glasses were never empty) and our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. It is a run well establishment. The food was extremely good. We were a group of 4 and we shared the calamari and focaccia as starters. Each was delicious, the calamari was some of the best we have had, light and crispy. The focaccia was tasty, but only four small rectangular pieces, so we ordered a second. The gochujang butter was great with it. Everyone enjoyed their entrees (particularly the lamb and steak with pomme puree), I had the salmon which was cooked perfectly and was particularly flavorful. Everything on the plate went well together. I also tried the side of pumpkin with tahini and it was terrific. Our only complaint was that the portions run small. So while the food is incredible, you need to order more dishes eg sides, multiple appetizers etc (which is pricey) to be full if you are a big eater. read more

Great spot for a small group celebration! We came here for brunch on a Saturday afternoon after a spa day across the street at Exhale Spa. It was the perfect afternoon for me and my girlfriends. We were seated in one of the large booths which easily sat 5, and was very comfortable and pleasant. All of the dishes were very pretty and relatively tasty. We ordered the Eggs Royale (x3), Shakshuka, Beet Salad, Calamari, Truffle Fries and everything was solid, although we felt the quinoa in the beet salad should have been a little softer (it was called crispy quinoa but it just tasted a little too hard). We were a little disappointed by the Matcha French Toast because it was more like "matcha bread" or "matcha toast"... it was like toasted sweet matcha bread, not custard-like in the middle. It was good, just not what we expected from a French toast. I see some photos now of syrup with it, but we didn't receive any with ours. Finally, they brought out some special desserts with a candle on them for the two birthdays we were celebrating. First time in the restaurant and was pleasantly surprised at how nice the decor was. I ordered the regular cheeseburger which came with fries. It was pretty delicious. This was such a great dining experience. I enjoyed it from start to finish. The staff was extremely nice and hosted us so well. We were almost the last tokeave the restaurant because we were just talking and hanging out. When we got in it was still happy hour. So we sat at the bar for a little but our table was ready :) Natalia was our table host and she was super sweet and patient as we took a little while to choose our menu items. Lol. I had the Caesar salad and the Lamb chops entree. Both were great. My only suggestion and desire would have been for the salad to be mixed greens instead of romaine lettuce. I've had some great Cesar salads that were improvised on with differnt greens. Paying that amount for romaine lettuce was a little overpriced, however it was a holiday dinner so during the holidays treat yourself lol. The Lamb was the perfect temperature and well made. I enjoyed it. The mash potatoes were perfectly whipped and fluffy. The other dinner guest I was accompanied by made great comments about their meals and well their plates were pretty empty so that says alot. Although, we had no room for dessert. We made the room. The good, the bad and the in between. Good: the overall atmosphere walking in was gave off modern bistro vibes with black trim, dark wood chairs, Carmel leather banquettes, and a more private dining area in the back lined with glass paneled wine cabinets. They have happy hour specials. (Although we arrived during happy hour but missed ordering during this period and went straight into apps and dinner.) Food - good: Prosciutto Buratta bruschetta $15: this comes with two pieces per plate, ordered two plates to share, creamy bursts of mild cheese tasted delicious with the salty cured meat. The crispy toasted French bread really held up to the moistness of the spread. Saffron risotto w/scallop tartar $35: my friend really enjoyed this. Creamy, lovely scallops diced. Tandoori chicken and Moroccan couscous $38: came recommended by our server as her favorite dish of the moment and didn't disappoint. Black truffle gnocchi $39: pillowy pasta, the friend whose got this didn't have any specific comments though finished her entire dish which I'm taking as a sign it was good! Wine: each person ordered a couple glasses and enjoyed! Food - bad: Mezze platter $25: this came with house-made hummus, muhammara (roasted red pepper dip), mini pitas and yellow squash, cucumber, and red carrot sticks. To be precise, three mini pitas about 2.5" in diameter and 4 very slim pieces of each vegetable with two pieces (total of two-thirds) of a radish, served on a plate the size of a teacup saucer. The dips were delicious, the pitas were warm. The five of us all looked at each other and wondered how to consume the mezze, simply because there wasn't enough dipping conduits to use the amount of dip provided. We basically slathered it on everything we were given which used up about 30% of the hummus and muhammara. We asked for some additional veggie sticks first, maybe some carrots or celery and were told they were not available. Then we asked if mini pitas were available and we were told they would be $1 per pita. This was rather frustrating since the ratio was off and there was no other way to consume the rest of the dip other than to eat it plain by itself which made no sense. Finally because we were all rather incredulous at this situation, the staff noticed and apologized and brought out 5 mini pitas. My recommendation here would've just been to reduce the amount of dip, maybe just go with one? and add a normal amount of dipping conduits to begin with, or forgo the veggies all together and just do a few normal size pitas, or vice versa. Caesar salad $23: the amount of lettuce in this was pretty sad, I think maybe there were 3-4 leaves of lettuce mostly torn up in halves/thirds. The pieces were strangely sized, some too large to eat a single piece without cutting it, though not full-sized enough to seem intentional. The dressing tasted fresh and house-made although completely drenched the lettuce. Wished for more lettuce, less dressing here. The octopus dish $45 I ordered--the octopus itself was delicious, one of the best preparations I've had the pleasure of tasting. Unfortunately the rest of the dish was just mushy, it was pureed potatoes and white beans and the texture was kinda more liquidy and slightly gummy to what I was expecting. In between: made reservations a couple weeks in advance on Open Table for a Monday evening dinner and they had us in their system when we arrived. The restaurant wasn't too loud and our party was able to easily hear each other at our banquette booth, though I imagine this was because we were only one of a handful of parties in the main dining area. There are some vegetarian dishes though only a couple vegan options. The lighting is pretty dim so better have a better camera if you're trying to take pics. My boyfriend and I planned a large 24-person date night at L'Adresse (split across 2 reservations for 12). Immediately when we walked in, the spot was beautiful. There's a gorgeous bar with a large selection of alcohol on the right. Our parties were seated across the restaurant and the waiters were prompt to get our orders for drinks in. I ordered the vodka cocktail with strawberry and it was super yummy. I was downing it so quickly I think it hit me faster than I was expecting LOL. Food wise, the restaurant provides free black bread with butter, which was a tad sweet (in a good way!). We also ordered a variety of different appetizers, including the wine plate, salmon crudo, tuna tartare, octopus, and calamari. Some of these were super yummy. I recommend the wine plate and salmon crudo. I also tried the calamari but was disappointed as I was expecting it to be more crispy and flavorful. I thought the octopus was also a bit under-seasoned. For the main, I ordered the roasted chicken. Now, I'm not usually a fan of mushrooms, but the mushroom sauce atop the potatoes may have been the highlight of the dish. Unfortunately the chicken was a bit dry. This dish also seemed a bit smaller in size in comparison to the other entrees. Dropped by here since it was close to our hotel and strolling the streets, we saw raw oysters for a dollar and it was happy hour time! I'm glad we did! The exterior is very unassuming and easily missed or deemed as average, but upon entering, it's like you're whisked away to a Vegas restaurant or a hotel restaurant. It has aesthetics to a hotel decor restaurant and staff was attentive. Their drinks were refreshing and their raw oysters with truffle sauce and saffron with chives as garnishing, was unbeatable for a dollar and decadent! They outdid themselves with the lemon wedge that was charred and drizzled with something served with the oyster platter. It definitely made me return here for a second round of a dozen oysters plus opting for the dining experience! The bar is swanky and they even have a DJ on a Friday. They have dinner course prix fixe, $60. Very reasonable - opted for calamari as appetizer, lamb chops as main, and homemade chocolate hazelnut cake! Their lamb chops were savory and cooked perfectly medium rare the way I liked it! I didn't care too much of the sweet sauce glazed over it. Calamari was a miss - didn't prefer their parsnip purée flavor; attempt to change it up a bit. We added the lobster squid ink pasta as another main outside of the prix fixe. Lobster was chunky, a bit dry and the squid ink pasta sauce overpowered the naturalness of the lobster taste. Chocolate cake had a nice crispy crunch in between the mousse and it finished off the dining, wonderfully! Overshadowed by the outside of the typical buildings, it doesn't look like it's happening and it's easily missed. Shhhhh, please keep it that way!
