    Pizza margarita

Very disappointed ordered Large Margarita pizza no basil, no olive oil very bland. I could have made it be at home.

    Bruschetta Pizza

First stop in here for dinner as I've only had takeout once before. It seems like there are a lot of regulars here and it gives a family vibe. I ordered the bruschetta pizza and I only ate half of the individual pie. It was very good. My man orders the shrimp parmigiana with penne pasta and he enjoyed his as well. He soad he has had better but he did like it. The restaurant wasn't too busy but it seems like ot as our server wasn't really attentive to us. I'll definitely be back and I hope we have a little better service.

    Lobster Ravioli

Ordered from here via Uber eats. I ordered the lobster ravioli w/ vodka sauce. Overall the dish was bland. I added my own seasonings to make it taste better. Okay for a quick last min meal but overall the dish was bland.

The food here is really good!!! As is the pizza! Get the Tex Mex pizza and thank me later!!!

This is where Tarentella's negligence lead to! The ER having to have epinephrine, a lot of Benadryl, Pepcid and steroids.

They assured me that their gluten free pizza crust had no eggs in it but actually didn't check. My daughter ended herself in the ER. They then told us once she had an anaphylactic reaction that it does in fact have egg whites in it. Their food is mid...not worth it at all. So many other better Italian places in this area. I'd go to Ferraro's in Westfield or Rudy's in Garwood or Lorenzo's in Garwood.

    Very Italian pizza

Dear Reader and, hopefully, Tarantellas, My husband and I have eaten at Tarantellas for years and we regularly get the Very Italian pizza to go. Tonight was pizza night so we picked up our usual. What happened? We knew something was different because the once substantial pie felt lighter than normal. Well over two inches of the outer perimeter of crust had nothing on it. There was no garlic, no olive oil, little sauce and other toppings. For $22+ and a tip, we were rewarded with huge hunk of plain crust and a tasteless, pathetic pie. We ate it anyway because we were starving but pulled everything we could from our shelves to dress it up. If this was the first time, having pie from Tarantella's, we would never go back.

This is a great italian restaurant. I ordered a large Lasagna for an event and it was amazing. Will do it again this year. Recommended.

And surprisingly, this happened to be a very well known restaurant as our other coworkers knew about it! It's located across of CubaNu Restaurant & Lounge on the corner of Lewis St and Main St in downtown Rahway. There's paid street parking and parking garages around the area. My coworker and I shared their Calamari Al Forno, tossed with Italian sausage, hot cherry pepper, and balsamic glaze. And wow. Who would have thought balsamic glaze with calamari would be sooooo good! I'll definitely be ordering that combination again. The mix with the Italian sausage and cherry peppers added a nice kick to the dish. Both of us could not stop eating it even though we wanted to save room for our pastas. Our meal was off to a great start! I ordered their Linguini de Mar which was supposed to have four seafoods: shrimp, calamari, mussels, and clams. Unfortunately, mine was missing the calamari. However, the pasta was incredibly flavorful and the seafood was cooked perfectly - not overdone or underdone at all. YUM! My coworker got their Cheese Ravioli with the Bolognese sauce (unsure if it was extra as I didn't see the check). She loved her pasta as well! She's usually a light eater, but she devoured half the calamari appetizer and all of her pasta, which speaks volumes about how much she enjoyed the meal. I felt that the one downside was the unusual amount of water I drank (maybe ten cups?). This was my own personal indicator that there was definitely some sort of flavor enhancer which wasn't a negative thing. I'm not certain, but the food was very good, so kudos to them if that's the case. Overall, definitely a hidden gem! We unfortunately didn't try their pizzas/pies but this will definitely be on my list again the next time I visit. Or I may opt in for another round of calamari al forno and pasta again, haha!

Rahway has a nice downtown area with good restaurants. I'm always surprised when I visit because…read morethe downtown isn't that big but some of their restaurants are fantastic. This restaurant was pretty good. If you dine in make sure to have plenty of time because the service slow. Their pizza is wood fire and so was the cheese bread which was delicious. The calamari was good and I know places that have messed up calamari (this was not one of them). I enjoyed my plain individual pie and the crust in my opinion made the pizza. The lasagna was tasty as well and I think the sauce made the dish. The brussel sprouts were crispy and the added bacon added a nice flavor to it. I only wish that the dish had more whole sprouts. Great experience overall.

Let's start with the only real challenge of the night: parking. Between regular White Plains parking adventures and the winter snow situation, it took a little patience. But once we got inside, the night immediately got better. The vibe is college-bar casual, but without the trashiness that sometimes comes with that territory. It's lively but still comfortable enough to actually enjoy a conversation. One thing I loved right away, there are games by the front entrance that you can grab and bring to your table. Drinks + games = instant girls' night upgrade. We were seated in the center near the kitchen, which actually gave us a great view of the whole place. Our drinks were really good, though if the bartender's hand had slipped just a tiny bit more on the pour, I wouldn't have complained. Still solid, still enjoyable. Now the food. Holy moly. Everything we ordered was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. And the portions? I'm not sure if they thought we were feeding an entire soccer team, but honestly... I support the ambition. I don't think I've ever seen mozzarella sticks that size before. I love leftovers and this place clearly believes in sending you home with some. Another thing I appreciated was seeing a whole section of vegan options on the menu. I didn't try them this time, but I love when a restaurant makes it easy for different diets to find something without turning ordering into a complicated group project. Between the fun atmosphere, great food, and generous portions, this was a great first experience. Next time I come back, I'll just plan ahead for parking... and maybe bring an even bigger appetite.
