I call it happy place for most people, who doesn't like Target, come ON! Kid's are loving it grown ups love it . I would say this store rocks they have everything you need and want. AN OPEN LETTER TO TARGET MANAGEMENT: Congratulation on your graduation from the Beavis & Butthead School of Retail Management! Sadly though, you seemed to have missed (or failed) the class in LINGUISTICS!! This is evidenced by the somewhat recent requirement of forcing ALL your cashiers to ask the ludicrous, disingenuous, stupid and most USELESS question ever developed: "Did you find everything OK?" This useless question INSULTS not only my intelligence, but the intelligence of probably the vast majority of your customers, since it's blatantly obvious that when a customer is standing there in line with a basket or shopping cart full of merchandise which they'd now like to pay for, that they did in-fact find those items OK! During my last four shopping adventures at your store, I was asked "if I found everything OK." I replied that "Yes, I found everything that is in my cart OK" and I'm met with a look as though I'm speaking some kind of an unknown foreign language, and then the cashier replies with, "Yes, but did you FIND the items OK?" I reply once again with, "YES! Isn't it OBVIOUS to you that I found these items OK?" I make it clear (in a nice way) that "I'm merely responding appropriately to the inappropriate question that they've just asked me." I've asked four different cashiers what that question means to them, and four out of four couldn't give me an answer, other than to state that they are now required to ask that question of everyone who comes through their line. Though the vast majority of customers would prefer NOT to have to play "20-stupid questions" when they get to the check-out stand in virtually ANY store, IF you feel that it's of vital necessity to the success of your store to ask some kind of a question, wouldn't it make much better (common) sense to ask the customer "IF THEY FOUND EVERYTHING THEY CAME-IN FOR," instead? After all, isn't that what you REALLY want to ascertain? Another thing you folks need to get a handle on, is establishing and enforcing a policy which PROHIBITS your 'team members' from loudly conversing in Spanish back and forth with each other...with one employee often times at one end of an isle and another employee at the other end of the isle. WHY is that acceptable? It's RUDE and it's highly UNPROFESSIONAL! I've been shopping at the Target Store on Lone Tree for a good number of years, but I'm now most likely going to go elsewhere to purchase things that I need, even if I have to pay a couple of extra bucks more! read more

This Target is great. I'm not sure if they're all great... but this one is clean, well-stocked & employs a friendly, intelligent staff. They have a full freezer section, and so, I have stopped shopping at any other grocery store. I can now accomplish all of my food and household shopping at Antioch Lowes, Concord Costco & this Target! I shop with my girlfriend here... and she has a service animal. Once... just once... an employee approached us and asked if it was a service animal. After that encounter, we have never been asked (or hassled at all) for having a service animal. It's almost as if their staff is so intelligent that they remember us? The gluten free section is huge. Gluten free gelato? I love this Target the more that I think about it. The cashiers are all personable and friendly. They don't make mistakes and they engage the customer while the customer is checking out. One time... I overheard a mean old bat two registers over... telling another cashier that she wanted my girlfriend's dog to leave the store (can you believe people like this exist?). The cashier told her, "mam, that woman's dog has on a service vest... their cashier will make sure if the dog misbehaves." It's good to know that there are still intelligent, well-spoken young adults among us (much of their staff looks to be high school to college level). We are very thankful that we have such a good place to go for all of our basic needs in the East Bay. read more

Had to return an item at this location, when we walked in people were just standing in spots. No line, there was two people ahead of my wife and myself. For some reason the worker named Yaritza only decides to rudely tell us the line is OVERTHERE. Again no one was in line. She doesn't say anything to the woman in front of us, who wasn't wearing mask. (Security and staff didn't seem to care, which is very concerning.We all know we should be wearing mask, just following cdc guidelines) My wife calmly tells Yaritza you could have been a little nicer with the line issue. Yaritza had no remorse, didn't say sorry, I apologize, nothing of the sort. She could have cared less. My wife proceeded to talk with a manager named Armand who also could have cared less. We are all within ear shot of Yaritza, who continues to make comments under her breathe. Armand the manager instead of dealing with the issue at hand, decides to try and silence my wife, like she did something wrong. These two individuals were so rude and unprofessional we proceeded to return the two bicycles that we had purchased that same day.. We won't be back if this is the standard of the target staff. I will say the other manager I spoke with Kim was very professional ,very sympathetic and understanding. read more

This is the best, well stocked Target in the east bay....well, the Walnut Creek store is good too. I give WC extra credit for fun shopping cart escalators. This Target is definitely the best big box store in east county hands down! Very clean, the lines are never obnoxiously long, and really great selection of stuff. When my daughters went off to college, we bought 90% of their stuff at Target...and I hit myself for not stopping there first for the other 10%! Definitely my "go to" store. read more

If you ever are looking for me, more than likely you can find me roaming the aisles of this amazinggggggg Target! I love how the employees always walk you to where you can find the item you are lookin for, instead of saying "aisle blah blah blah'!! Even the damn security guard is nice!! I never needed a raincheck, always found what Im looking for: very well stocked. The store is extremely clean (restrooms as well). Also, they have the new target carts here!! Great for aisle racing wth ur bff's. I will neverrrrrr visit the Pittsburg Target ever again. Tips: Use the side parking lot, usually empty. I used to coupon alot (i.e combine a manufacturer and target coupon together) since I'm a college student~ It bothered me whenever the cashiers looked ANNOYED whenever my double digit total budged down to one digit with the usage of coupons. Is there something wrong with saving money? Apparently so. But I don't coupon much anymore, ever since Target changed their coupon policy. Other than that, I prefer going here rather than Wal*Mart. There are some good and bad things about this Target. Our registry experience was a bit chaotic - some things on our registry were online only, some were in store, and some were at other locations - but with the help of associates we were able to fix most things except exchange a faulty camera. We just had to take store credit on that. Most of the associates are helpful. I think that's a big positive for this store. There was a fire outside in one of the trash cans the other night. It took an extraordinarily long time to put it out. That was a strange experience. Most of my "Meh" comes because of product choice. I can hardly ever find clothing in the sizes I'm looking for. They seem to run out of shipments quite quickly. The more "normal" sizes are gone so fast. I end up seeing a lot of S and XS and XXL and not a lot of M-XL. One of the dressing room workers was actually complaining about the same thing, so I know I'm not alone in that. read more

Last Saturday my two-year-old grandson ran away from me while shopping here. He's a pretty fearless little guy and thought it was funny but I was horrified. The staff were absolutely marvelous - I didn't get the name of the young Latina woman that I first spoke to (I was too worried at the time) but she immediately announced the situation on her walkie talkie and the other staff rushed to help. Despite the store being Saturday crowded, we found him in a matter of minutes - thanks to having so many eyes watching out for him. My wife and I are not really Target shoppers, but we were in the area and need to kill 15 minutes, so we thought we wander through. The store was clean and well organized, as Targets usually are. We were kind of surprised that there wasn't any Halloween clearance out a few days into November, but I guess they'd rather try to sell Christmas trees a month early. read more

This is the best Target in the area, no doubt. It is huge and has everything. It usually clean, and the lines are never too long. Yeah, yeah. Don't normally Yelp about the generic chains, but when they become reliable sources for basic family needs, it's always good to know which locations are more likely to have what you are looking for. Did the early morning stop-in after the holidays in Brentwood wine area. While Nordstrom has just open on the Brentwood side of the Border, Target Greatland's on the Antioch side. Newer Target in the new area of the Brentwood / Antioch border. I was genuinely expecting this to be a true ghetto experience before figuring out its location. So a bit ghetto. Killer DVD sales brought me in for quick stocking stuffers. Let's just say March of the Penguins and Polar Express weren't flying off the shelves as quickly as the Raiders-licensed gear. Unfortunately, the layout was difficult to navigate in the toy and electronics areas...Pretty narrow aisles in some parts, but perhaps they are simply overstocked for the holidays. So not nearly as great as other east bay regions...much more food / consumables focused than other regions. read more

As far as Target stores (Greatland or regular), this is one of the cleanest well stocked locations I have been in - even better than WC or San Ramon. I used to only go to Target for miscellaneous household items but over the years as my situation changed and Target expanded its inventory and quality, this store is almost one stop shopping for me. Before this location opened in 2004, I would need to leave the house by 9:00 on the weekends (in order to avoid traffic on highway four) if I needed to go the Pittsburg store so having a Brentwood location under five minutes away really makes leaving Antioch to run errands unnecessary on the weekends. The inventory is good, Target carries almost everything you could think of and their grocery items are reasonably priced. I have a Wal-Mart down the street from me but I'd rather spend the extra few minutes in the car to arrive to better parking, new carts which are quieter and easier to maneuver, a cleaner shopping environment, quality items, and approachable staff - an overall pleasant shopping experience. The only downside to this Target is the space between racks during/right after the re-model/grocery expansion. I work in property management/ affordable housing and ADA is a big part of what I do. There are several areas within the different clothes sections that the clothing racks are too close together. If I cannot get or have trouble getting my cart through, there is no way a wheelchair will fit. I mentioned the concern to staff as a heads up during the expansion so hopefully the store has rectified the issue. To Kelly M. who posted the 12/5/10 posting about Target - I think you might been at the Antioch Kmart not Target, as nothing in your review came close to describing this Target store or it's location; however, it fits the desolate Kmart store to a tee. read more

There was a sign stating if you buy 3 items from this brand you would receive a 5$ gift card. I went through self checkout and did not receive my gift card and the person there was no help. So I paid and walked back and looked at the sign and took a picture. Went to customer service and stood in line for 10 minuets to be greeted by a rude person. I explained what happened and she scanned the items and stated that they are not apart of the deal. I showed her the picture and it states all products from this hair brand of you buy 3 you get the gift card. It did not specify any item by the brand just all hair cat products from this brand. After I told her that she just looked at me like "well?" So I grabbed my stuff and walked out. I will be returning the items. If it was explained better or I was at least greeted by someone friendly I would not even care. She did not want to help me at all. It's not about the money, it's the principal. read more

This is a great Target. I can make a one stop shopping trip for most of my needs ( and too many wants). They have a great selection of foods, frozen and fresh. The cashiers are friendly and fast. The clothes are neatly folded or hung and it's easy to find the size I'm looking for. All in all, a quality, affordable store with helpful employeees. read more

Let me start off by saying that I love target. I love cruising the aisles and placing items I have no need for in my cart; never getting out under $100. This particular visit was horrible. The lady at the fitting room was rude and condescending. My boyfriend went to try something on and the employee was on her personal cell phone. When I brought him another size she kept talking about some number. Seriously? We were the only ones that were in the fitting room. She said her "Loss Prevention Agent" was watching her and gave me major attitude. Message to Target: Treat your customers with respect and hire people with class. read more

Not my favorite Target in the world, but definitely one of the better ones. A perk to this location is that you'll most likely always find what you're looking for at either a cheap or reasonable price. The downsides to the location are the miserable looking stuff who completely ignore you or look constantly constipated with bad vibes, minimal checkers working which results in nauseatingly long lines, cramped aisles in both the men's and women's clothing sections which makes it impossible to roll through with a cart, and staff that seems to completely disappear when you need help. I have had negative experiences in the past couple of years with the attendants at the Women's dressing room and in itself, I have a problem with Target's lack of fashionable Women's plus-size clothing items. This Target is FABULOUS! It's a 10 minute drive from my house in Brentwood and it's so close to all this great shopping. I love that this is an actual Target Greatland so it has pretty much everything you could ever want. The sales people are ACTUALLY HELPFUL AND KNOW WHERE STUFF IS! I visited the Target in Brentwood, CA around 6pm on 9/26/17 as have many times over the years for my household & personal care items. This particular evening I stopped by for a brief shopping trip. As I shopped, searching for items that I needed for my family, I walked by one of the security guards he seemed to take notice of me. Though his attention made me uncomfortable, I continued shopping and ignored the feeling. I then went to the Pharmacy to ask for allergy medication. The pharmacist did not greet me, nor come to the counter. From the back of the pharmacy she asked if I needed something though that should have been clear from my standing at the counter. I had hoped she would realize I took note of her poor customer service but it continued. I asked if I could purchase all of my items together or would I have to purchase the allergy medicine with her & my other items separately, at the register. She seemed irritated but began to ring up each item anyway. She bagged the items. I paid, put my bags in the basket and walked towards the exit. As I exited I decided to get a drink from the Starbucks, in which was a few feet from the door. I walked toward the Starbucks, I noticed the security guard (Tyler) from earlier walking my way before turning and placing himself in front of the exit. I could see him watching me as I purchased my drink & chatted with the barista. Tyler seemed focused on me though there was plenty of others coming and going in the store. I got my drink and began to leave when Tyler stopped me. He asked if I would show him my receipt and let him search my bag. Feeling singled out for no cause, I questioned why I was being stopped and searched. The guard responded "It is Target policy and protocol & they do it to everyone. Knowing I have shopped at this store many times over the years never once being asked to prove I was a legitimate customer, I knew I was being lied to. At this point I felt I was being racially profiled. Tyler did not stop there though. He pressed the issue by saying, "Why don't you show me if you have nothing to hide?" He had zero probable cause to search me and I felt ABSOLUTELY no need to prove anything to him. He followed that up by threatening me saying with confidence, "Watch when you come back, try to come back." I felt completely insulted and humiliated in front of other customers passing by and left me distraught and angry from the prejudice profiling I encountered. A security guard's job should be treating each and every customer with the upmost respect and integrity. They should be treating each and every person equally and upholding the highest level of professionalism possible, setting examples for the patrons in the store, as well as their co-workers. I could not feel more disappointed and disrespected by the treatment I received at a store that I have given so much of my hard earned money to. I immediately made a complaint with the general manager of the store, Gary, who was more than apologetic and disgusted by the actions of the security guard. He informed me that he would take this issue up with the security's supervisor and gave me the information to contact corporate as well. If this is the way they treat their customers I do not ever want to shop at this Target (nor any other Target). I would also advise my family and friends to not shop at this establishment, knowing they could possibly receive similar discriminating treatment that I received. read more

I love Target. This Target is clean and has GREAT customer service. The selection is abundant, and the clearance end caps always have an array of good stuff. My most recent purchase at Target was a Dirt Devil 2-in-1 stick vacuum for $12.48! This Target just had some major remodeling to include a food section. While shopping here during the remodel wasn't exactly a walk in the park, the results are VERY nice. The store feels quite bigger and more organized. With the upgrade to new lightweight plastic carts, my shopping experience is so much more enjoyable. The aisles are wide enough to make cart U-turns. Generally, I visit Target once a week because I always seem to forget something on my shopping list. I always find great deals in the clearance aisles. It is hard for me to shop at any other Target (i.e. Pittsburg), or other similar stores (Wal-Mart, KMart, etc). I'm a mega fan of Target, especially this one. read more

This Target is always clean and organized. There are employees around for questions (unlike Walmart). The employees always seem happy to help you. When you are in the checkout line they are nice and engaging. Most of the time the prices are comparable to Walmart. Even the bathroom is clean. There is even a Starbucks in there now. Horrible service, if I could give zero stars I would. I had recently got all four of my wisdom teeth pulled out, and went to the Target Pharmacy to pick up my antibiotics and pain relievers, only to be turned away by the lady at the counter. There was still over 20 minutes before the Pharmacy closed and I was not served, the lady turned me away stating that it would take too long to get my antibiotics. How ridiculous is that?! I was in excruciating pain only to be turned away! The Pharmacy department is absolute horrible, don't waste your time there dealing with incompetent people. read more

So much better than Wally World. I'm more than willing to pay the extra money to shop here. It's not the cleanest or most organized Target I've been to but it definitely beats shopping at some of the other places around town. I've had quite a few employees ask me if I need help. I don't know if I just have a confused look on my face all the time but, its really nice to know that they care and want to check up on you to make sure you are finding everything ok. Now I don't know if I should be posting this, but they are really nice when it comes to mispriced items. It doesn't happen too often but I would say twice in 3 years I found something in the wrong spot. They are more than willing to work with you and give it to you for the price that is posted without hassle. Overall this store is great. We've been coming here almost weekly for over four years, ever since we moved to the area. Our experiences have been consistently good overall, with very few complaints. The employees have always been helpful and courteous, even when there's too few of them to help you quickly. One employee that doesn't appear to work there anymore, noted that he had the same name as our youngest child who was 2 at the time. Everytime we were in the store this employee would see us, come over, high-five our son, and put a big smile on his face. The store itself isn't anything amazing - it's a typical modern built (or remodeled) Target store. It's kept pretty clean, and pretty organized. I do wish they'd put more attention into replacing price tags and labels while they are facing product. There's been more than one time when we've looked at neatly organized rows of product, and had no idea what anything cost because labels were missing, damaged, or old/for a different product. Other than that, really just a good representation of a Target store. read more
