Could have been a wonderful experience except for the person attending the Customer Service. I do not discriminate gay people but I think he was the most arrogant gay guy I have encountered. He doesn't smile, he thinks returning your items would mean a salary deduction for him. This leads me to the conclusion that he is not happy with his life. I hope management can at least send him to a class on courtesy and politeness. I was in line waiting for my turn return my purchase. In front of me was an elderly man who has just concluded his return. I overheard the poor customer ask him when he can have the funds return to his bank account. Instead of being an advocate, he appeared to be irritated by this customer. He was dismissive and sarcastic. Next time I will be posting his name in my next review. Gay people are named as such because they should be. Not this sad gay guy. I think you know who I'm talking about. Next time you return an item, observe his demeanor. Target has been one of my most favorite stores for years, and this location has always been one of my primary go-to stores for all sorts of needs, from clothing to stationery to pet food to home goods. However, since their remodel, this store is absolutely atrocious and I will no longer shop here ever. This store makes the WalMart up the road look like Neiman Marcus or Nordstrom! Seriously!! I do not know who designed the remodel, but it is clearly not well thought out. The placement of the departments makes ZERO sense. The chaotic layout of the aisles (some perpendicular, some diagonal, with random bays of merchandise tossed in hither and yon) makes it impossible to find what one is looking for, and makes it difficult to even find one's way out of the store. And merchandise is all over the floors in every department and very unkempt; no one is bothering to ensure the store is clean and well-stocked. In addition, there is now loud, unpleasant sounding (to me) music playing over the loudspeakers. Are the designers trying to appeal to late teens and early 20-somethings with this remodel? If so, newsflash to them: this demographic doesn't have a ton of disposable income to spend in your store. Your target* demographic (*pun intended) are Gen X'ers and the 50- and 60-something crowd, who do have the income to spare and spend. Your remodel is a huge turnoff to us 40-somethings and older. I cannot abide what this store has turned into, and I can promise I will no longer be shopping here. This is a huge shame, Target; what a bad, bad, stupid move you've made with your remodel! Probably one of the largest Target stores I have been to, and no, we're not talking about the Super Target types. Their cafe is pretty decent as well. I don't generally do as much shopping as others, but I was able to find what I needed pretty easily and prices are usually reasonable and low. I LOVE their Sundried Tomato Alfredo sauce. For some reason, I can't find it at wal-mart or winco. WTH. Anyway, they also have a good selection of whole grain (or was it wheat?) pastas which are awesome. You can also find some deals here like when they're clearing out the meat & have those $2-$3 off coupons. The meat isn't all gross looking either, like it can get other grocery stores clearing older meat. I just got a 5lb sac of oranges for $2.49 today. Sweet~ Their food court is pretty kewl, but it's the usual Pizza Hut. I like the tables that face the door, brings in light when doing hw =P. I LOVE this target.. I go to this target A LOT.. they're clean, and they ALWAYS have cart WIPES avail.. yes for the germ-a-phobes..like my self! anyway.. If you go to this target like I do.. you'll notice that they have a what I call " the secret baby sale stash spot" right by the end aisle of the diapers.. all the toddlers clothes that they just marked down goes on that shelf, before it is hung in the dept. so there. I prefer Target stores over Walmart. This location needs some help. The kids that hang-out are a real eyesore. Sometimes their security seems to hang-out with the kids too. Had a horrible experience with an online order and calling guest service and them hanging up on me 2 different times and spending over an hour with people on the phone. Finally after so much frustration with guest services I called the Antioch store. I spoke with one of the managers Olivia. She was extremely helpful and told me to come in and they would take care of me. Once I got there Julie(think she was a different manager) along with someone else from guest service (can't remember her name) was just as great and helped me with what I was hoping for. I received a gift from a friend for Christmas but the clothes he gave me was to big for me so I went to target to see if I can return their product. The customer service representative scanned the clothes and said that it was not in the system so I respectfully told here to observe above the barcode where it says Distributed by Target. She then called her manager and the manager said that it was not in the system so they could not return it. Then the employee disrespectfully commented and said, "Well I'm sorry this product is only sold online by Target and and therefore I can only give you zero dollars for this." That was the last straw. I am tired of dealing with ignorant employees that cannot do their job because they feel like not going the extra mile. So long Target. Shop online people, save stress. Oh and do not shop Target online because they will say you cannot return their own stupid products. read more

Usually a pretty decent place to shop at, I can usually find what I'm looking for as Target has most everything and I recently discovered the Cartwheel app, and saved $15 off my last visit. The deli is also pretty yummy with the Pizza Hut pizzas. Customer service at this location is a solid 7.5 out of 10, not incredible or great but you can always find the help you need if you ask around a bit, I do give it that. Today however, there were tags on a LOT of items that said if you buy 3 of the participating items, you get a $5 Target gift card. Keep in mind, I don't have any visual impairments. I only picked up 3 of the participating items that had the identical tags. These items are personal care items such as shampoo, body wash, deodorant etc. I took my 3 items and various other items to the counter to what appeared to be a newer fellow. He scanned them and said they didn't ring up for the gift card. Long story short I didn't really have the time or energy to stay there for half an hour for my $5 gift card so I just left. I'll probably be back again tomorrow to try again. Overall this Target location is an 8/10, and that's saying something since this is a larger store with a lot of traffic. This will be about the 3rd time I've come to this location and have had to wait an unreasonably long time to checkout because they only have 3 lanes open and 7-10 customers in each lane. Customer service isnt high on their priority. Perhaps training your employees how to bag correctly would speed up the process. Would you want bars of soap in the same bag as your bread? read more

Thumbs down to store renovation. The odd layout is annoying. The walkways were small and now they are smaller. I had to leave my basket off to the side to look through children's clothing because the aisles were not big enough to get through. If someone was shopping in a wheelchair there is no way they could get through. And on that note. I was searching all over for the right areas from toddler to girls. I don't know if Target was trying to go for a boutique look but whoever designed this mess did not think it out. The cosmetics have poor signage. Before the different brands were listed large and now like everything else...smaller. Plus the bottom rows of cosmetics are so hard to look at. I was looking for a particular color of brow liner and I would have had to get on my knees to see everything...no Thanks...crossed cosmetics off my Target list and went to CVS. I met up with 2 women who also voiced their opinion about the disorganization of new layout. Shopping doesn't have to be a chore...the straight aisles ...easy access to all departments made Target an easy place to shop...not anymore. And that's why people including myself buy from Amazon. read more

Target in Antioch just pissed me off! I was shopping and picked up $150.00 worth of Barbie stuff along with my other items. EVERYTHING was on the inside of my basket when I approached the register but after the cashier rang it up, I placed some of the boxed Barbie toys on the bottom of my basket. As I was on my way out of the store, the manager JULIE ran up and approached me and said "I think she forgot to ring up the toys in the bottom of your basket"! (In other words, you stole that and you're busted!) I told her the cashier rang them up then showed her the receipt. In the meantime, people are looking at me like I just got caught stealing! I asked the manager what would make her think the cashier didn't ring them up and why didn't she secretly ask the cashier if she rang them up and she said "I did but she doesn't remember!" How can she not remember ringing up these toys 45 seconds earlier when we discussed the purchases at the register and me coming to get things other than what was in my basket, especially Christmas gifts???!! I knew the manager Julie was lying about asking the cashier so I told her to walk to the register with me. She told me the cashier was busy meaning she was lying and never asked the cashier! I walked over to the cashier (with Julie on my heels) and asked her if Julie had asked her if she rang up my toys and of course she said "no"! I then asked her if she remembered ringing up my toys and she said "yes"! Julie then tried to make me think I misunderstood her when she replied to me about asking the cashier because now she is caught in a lie! I reconfirmed with Julie twice that the cashier said she didn't remember ringing up the toys! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH OF THIS!! I am pissed off at the way black people are treated!! She didn't stop any other carts walking out of the store with something on the bottom but mine! I told her to give me a logical explanation as to what would make her think that the cashier forgot to ring up my stuff out of everyone else's that had things on the bottom of their baskets and I'm the one who put it there only AFTER IT WAS RUNG UP!! Needless to say, I returned the toys she accused me of stealing! I should have returned EVERYTHING I PURCHASED but that would not hurt their pockets! THIS IS WRONG! WHEN WILL THIS BEHAVIOR STOP? Target you are my go to place but you have let me down. I'm giving you two generous stars for your terrible mob scene at the checkout. You evidently thought by creating self check lines your company could employ less clerks, and save revenue in the process. You've created a bottleneck, traffic jam at the checkouts. I just don't have time to stand in mind numbing lines. Lately I've been braving Walmart because I can get out of the store predictably faster. I visited recently on vacation and the Starbucks here is great, the barista Rina is excellent and seems like she is on top of everything that goes on in that store. I however found it very inappropriate that one of the other employees was yelling at her "hubby" another apparent employee. All in all it was a pretty good experience. read more

I've been coming to this Antioch target for a while since the Pittsburg one is horrible. Today, on Father's Day worst customer service on register 5. I know y'all had a horrible power outage yesterday, but have have the decency to help someone out when their card is not swiping and your broke kiosk that needs to be fix. All fine and dandy thought I was going to be able to get my stuff, I roll up to register 5 nice young gentleman at first. We had a light conversation and I get ready to pay my card does not read "card reader not reading" kiosk pad is broken, half hanging off the counter top. He basically said they have been having problems all day with the card readers and that a few people had to leave their stuff. If their has been problems why is your lane open? Turn your lane into a cash only (not a lot of people today) if you desperately need open register or put a sign that machine is down. I ended up leaving all my stuff and not coming back to this place. Didn't even offer to suspend my transaction and have someone help me at least to see if my card would work at another counter. Now I'm out my stuff and my Father's Day card. So much for nothing. I'll be going further out now that Antioch and Pittsburg are falling apart in their customer service and equipment. I'll drive the extra mile to pleasant hill or Walnut Creek Area. read more

Target stores usually are good at keeping lines short, but this one has trouble. Why do people buy tons of food at Target stores? Target's food prices are 2-3x the price of Walmart for the same stuff and they're 1.5-2x the price of Trader Joe's. For instance, Trader Joe's milk is only about 20 cents more than Walmart but Target's is twice the price and it's the same quality milk in each store. The only benefit is you don't have bad music blaring in the store while you shop (most stores blare bad music while shopping) but most Walmarts and all Costcos keep that crap off too. I'm usually stuck in line behind people buying tons of food at 2-3x the price of a Walmart of Foodmaxx. Their non-food items are quite good and decently priced here however. Also keeping their products in stock is difficult for them. read more

This one star is for the drive up order area. Something needs to be done about people parking the drive up spots that are not actually receiving a drive up order. I use this service several times a week, and on several occasions I've had to circle the parking lot waiting for someone to come back to the car parked in the drive up spots! I almost one time had to park and go inside the store. This service cost an extra dollar, so if in the event I need to go inside the store for a drive up order because inconsiderate people can't park somewhere else I hope I'm refunded the fee. And when I've brought this up to the workers that come out, they don't really care. Management could check and make an announcement that those leaving their cars in the drive up need to leave! Or start citing people! read more

The Starbucks here is not very friendly. Hilda or Heidi is super rude and not helpful at all. She made a vanilla bean frappucino and gave it to us with it poured out all over the cup and didn't even help with napkins. Also, the shots tasted burnt and old for the iced caramel macchiato she made us. Then, as we were leaving my bf told her to have a lovely day and she was unresponsive and cold. If you're gonna work at a Starbucks or any job that requires customer interactions, you've gotta be a little more friendly and at least know how to make proper drinks. read more

First off when you call you can't get through nobody answers the phone not even their customer service desk.... So you have to call a million times then when some one does pick up they are beyond rude and don't want to help. My 9 year son went to get a gift card for his switch with his birthday money and you would think that if they saw a young kid paying for two identical super Mario smash brother add on package cards they would ask hey buddy is this really what you want..... gee I don't know offer the little guy some help. He was with my mother and she is elderly doesn't have a clue about any of the electronics. He was so excited.... When I realized what happened I called and ask can we at least return one and they said no that there are no returns..... then I ask well why didn't someone offer help and ask if that's what he was trying to purchase... then this rude sorry excuse for customer service employee says it's not her job... I'm sorry then exactly what is your job???? Needless to say I avoid going to Target because their customer service is far below standard. read more

I will take target over Wal-Mart any day of the week. This one in particular is very clean and the workers actually look like the like there job. I love the little grocery area and how easy it is to find what you are looking for. There seems to be plenty of parking and it is in a great shopping plaza. read more
