Oh god.. this Target's parking lot stresses me out when I am trying to cross from the parking to the stores. Both sides of the cars don't care for pedestrians. I popped in a few time recently, only because it was on the way from my errands to going home and each time I have gone, the customer service has gotten worst. Once, I asked for an item and I was left waiting, only to find out that the sales associate was mingling with another customer, i felt betrayed and come on man, don't waste my time like that. This target it's very convenient, right off the freeway , close home .. i always come here .. today when I was walking to cashier number 8 at 7:51pm I could read the cashier lip he started to cursed out I could see he was pissed for the fact of cashing out another customer .. he made a very disappointing face...for cashing out ..mind you , there was not a huge line of customers . i'm doing a little shopping and I'm grabbing some gift cards for some family and as I finish shopping I walk over to the cash registers I noticed all cashiers were full so I went to self checkout. I had absolutely no idea and no clue that gift cards were not allowed at self checkout that was up until some man came up to me, one of the workers he had a septum piercing and he accused me of stealing immediately, he said "were you going to pay for that? It clearly says no gift cards right over here at self checkout". I've never had such an uncomfortable experience shopping in my life. I don't know who this person thinks they are speaking to customers like this but they have a very rude approach. read more

I love coming to this target, this is definitely the target I come to very frequently. The layout to this location hardly ever changes and if it does it's not a dramatic change. I like coming and knowing where everything is located. This specific target has all my favorite yummy organic treats. They are located towards the back of the store. But hey at least they have them! Couldn't find these organic treats anywhere else. The beauty department has many options. I found myself in a rush to try to pick out some lashes. An associated name by Vicky saw how I couldn't decide between lashes. She definitely helped me out in picking some! She did not disappoint! She was right! Please do not go to RAUL( target "manager") who was walking up and down with his shopping cart. Tried to get his assistance with a product and he said there is "2 " somewhere around the floor. If you are planning to list the product then you should be able to find it. Apparently he is a manager , but looks like this manager can't solve a product problem. Maybe he is not " fit " for a manager if he cannot locate a product that clearly says " 2 " on his mobile target device. I normally love shopping at Targets everywhere as they have great prices and selection there. But went to this one because of a gift card promo I had heard about online that was redeemable in store. The girl in electronics did not care to help with that at all-- just saying that if theres no sign, then I can't help you. i went there just for that only to get turned back. What a waste of time. I drove to the Azusa store right after and they helped me out just fine--they confirmed the promotion online and i got the deal! Clearly not all Target Stores are created equal and have learned that lesson yesterday when my husband and I stopped by this location. This Target is a few miles down Kaiser Permanente, which we just had came from and needed to pick up some over the counter medicine (its always going to cost more at Kaiser for stuff like that). Anyways, this location is located in a plaza with Office Max (or was it Office Depot?.... eh same company) with plenty of parking. Upon entering in the store, I just kind of picked up this unfriendly vibe immediately. Just an odd gut feeling I suppose. A lot of their general store items were not adequately stocked and employees here just didn't have the same friendliness that I have experienced at other Targets. And to mimic other fellow yelpers comments, this place really is on the ghetto side (although I have been to much more sketchy stores... like the Wal Mart in Las Vegas). So I guess that is the major reason for the less than spectacular shopping experience. And surprised to be giving a Target store a rating of 2 stars, my lowest I have ever done for any Target. read more

Target, please tell your employees to be more respectful. I have not felt so disrespected at a store in a long time. I went in wanting to return my liquid softner because I thought it was a detergent. This older lady at the return area was so rude to begin with, compared to the other targets I've been to whenever I needed help with a return. Whatever, that's fine, I just need a return. She was helping me halfway but then started to help another customer with their return even though we weren't finished. Okay, fine, I can deal with that. Then, we couldn't find the item on my red card, which I was sad but whatever, so I decided to pick up a detergent before I left. I picked up some other things I needed to get, and started browsing in the detergent isle when I feel someone a couple feet away staring at me for more than just glancing around. I look and there that same lady from the return area is staring at me with her arms on her hips, looking at me holding a detergent version of the softner I had, and at first I was confused why she was staring at me that way, even after our eyes met for like more than 5 seconds....and then it clicked. She assumed I was secretly switching the bottles. Even though I had a bunch of other target items in my hand. She kept staring, so I asked her, yes? And then she said, why are you saying yes? And I was like, you're staring at me. And you know how she responded? She completely ignored that statement/me and started talking on the walkie talkie and walked away. Then when I went up to her again, her attitude shifted COMPLETELY. I'm not gonna make assumptions about her being racist, but honestly there was a lot of discrimination coming from her because she did not act that way towards others. Phillis the lady that was in charge of self check out is Very rude in the way she expresses that you can not buy the gift card at self check out. Oh and alcohol which that is commonsense. I can't go through an aisle sometimes without some mystery dude on a phone waiting and watching my every move. It's gets really uncomfortable. Wow, this place has a lot of bad reviews. I come here pretty often - while it is kinda messy (both the store and the parking lot) it gets the job done. There are lots of employees restocking whenever I go - which is great, except for when its time to check out. The lines are usually very long, 5-6 people deep usually. On average they have 2-3 checkers opened. They need to call up back up when it gets backed up like that. One other thing, they need to give the carts a good cleaning...they are dis-gus-ting! read more

Treated horribly this morning. My family has been shopping at Target for over 20 years now and we've NEVER been treated so poorly before. I lined up at 6:30AM (opens at 8AM) for the Splatoon 2 launch and I was the first in line by about 50 minutes. I called the day before and spoke with Yvonne who confirmed 1) yes, they have Nintendo Switch consoles for the launch reserved for tomorrow, per the Target print ad, 2) she is not allowed to confirm how many they have for the launch but they definitely have them, and 3) she advised me to line up early to ensure the best chance of getting one. None of this was true. After waiting 1.5 hours, and being first in line (there were a couple other people also in line for the console), Rosanna in Electronics said they had NONE. Rosanna was extremely rude. She refused to check at first, keeping me and the other 2 electronics customers waiting while she chatted with another employee leisurely about the days they have off. She called me a liar straight to my face, the other customers were standing right there, when I told her I spoke with Yvonne over the phone to confirm they had inventory. She said Yvonne wasn't even there today. So I told her I called yesterday and that Yvonne confirmed that they had them for today's launch. I'm not making this up. I called yesterday morning because I saw the Target print ad advertising today's launch. She continued to call me and the other customers liars and still refused to check the computer. I was upset because she talked to me like I was garbage. She treated us like garbage. We waited in line for a long time and she couldn't even check for us; she just continued chatting with the other employee and ignoring us. I called the manager/LOD Sarah C. who came over and it was obvious Sarah didn't know what the product was or how to look it up. She stood there and had Rosanna repeat what she told us except Rosanna embellished the story with lies ("oh I checked for them. We don't have them. Yvonne lied. I don't know") and Sarah brushed us off, telling us it's our fault for believing Yvonne and lining up. She said it's our fault we were given the wrong information. She didn't do anything to help us. Mind you, no one who works for Target has actually checked a computer at all or checked the back, the cages, etc. It's one thing to not have the product. It's another thing entirely to be treated like garbage as a customer when you did everything in your power to follow procedures (calling ahead to double check the information in the ad is correct, calling to double check there is inventory in stock for release day, lining up early, politely asking and following the rules, etc.). Me and the other customers who lined up all morning left empty handed. I am so sorely disappointed and angry at the way Target treated me. read more

So I've been coming here, ever since I moved here. Target is a staple for me! I need to go to Target for a lot of things such as decor, random food items, personal health stuff and more. It's the standard Target that we all have grown to love. I have to say my favorite is guest services, they have the friendliest customer service employees here. There's a more mature woman here, during the weekdays in the daytime, who always gives a friendly service and she always makes polite and light conversation. And there were like 2 guys who were very nice here. Plus there was a cashier that was super nice. I feel like I'm doing a customer satisfaction survey here but I really like these employees. One note though.. they need to work on organizing women's shoes. It's like all over the place lol. But I love Target! read more

OMG! If you want the worse servicing Target then you want to go to the Target in BALDWIN PARK. If I could indicate 0 for how many stars they deserve it would definitely be zero. I was at this store earlier today could NOT find anyone, to help me find the price for a decorative cactus plant. And it was way too heavy to lift to try to get the price on my own. So I figure I'll ask later if I can find someone to help me. Then I went to the TV department figured what TV I wanted couldn't find anyone at all. I couldn't lift it so off to the front of the store to ask for help, i found a sales associate that seem to be handling the cashiers, I suggested that she have someone go get the TV I wanted to purchase, and meet me up front to pay. obviously that was too much for them to do. I am 66 years old, with a bum leg, and diabetes and I was not feeling well. Which I told the sales associate. So she said go back over there and I'll send somebody. Well 10 minutes later not a person had shown I was ready to give up, and this one young gentleman asked do you need help, I told him yes I know what TV I want I just need someone to put it in my cart and I would do the rest. Well he told me to wait because he wasn't from this department, but I asked him first Is this the Vizio TV that's on sale for $179.99 he looked and said yes, again he asked me to wait and about five minutes later he came back and he lifted it into my cart. I thanked him and I headed toward the register to pay for my items. When I got to the register they were charging me over $265 dollars, I questioned the price, and the cashier called the sales associate that I believed was in charge of the cashiers, that I spoken to earlier, she said the price includes taxes, I said $60 in taxes? So she questioned me and said who helped you and I told her you were the one who called and sent him to meet me, he's the one who verified the price so they made the adjustments. I came home called target in Baldwin Park a total of 4 times, the first two times they hung up on me, the third call the sales associate kept me on hold for over 31 minutes never came back on the phone again. I can't believe how unprofessional this is, this is customer service 101 you never leave the customer on hold for 31 minutes!!!!! I called back the 4th time on my other phone, I told the gentleman what had happen, and that I was still on hold on my other phone waiting for the female associate to come back on the phone, he now spends 12 minutes looking for that person that had placed me on hold. Well I spent in total another 17 minutes before my issue was resolved which was to get a price on the decorative cactus plant. Never in my life have I had such horrible horrible service, I will never never never never come back to the store again! And I certainly hope after reading my review that you'll save yourself the grief, and not go to this target. I could not, and would not ever take this type of treatment ever again. read more

Just spoke with Angel, Executive Leader. Angel states the Baldwin Park location does NOT provide rain checks at all, for anything in the store and anything advertised in the weekly circular. They also do NOT accept any rain check issued from other stores. How is this possible? How is this "great guest services"? This review isn't directly on the store itself but of what happened with the gift card that I purchased there. I bought my sis a gift card for her newborn for $50 and when she tried using it she had zero balance. When she called Target they told her it had been used in Murrieta CA. The gift card was had a sticker that was hard to peel off instead of a scratch off. Target should not be selling gift cards that puts their customers at risk of fraud. They should be able to guarantee that any gift card that is purchased from their store be 100% fraud proof or at least with minimal risk. They should have prevention control on gift cards. I will NEVER buy a gift card from Target again. BEWARE and double check your gift card if your buying from this location. You don't get your money back... It's gone! read more

This location does not have enough staff for the returns/exchanges/pickup desk. There is only one team member serving 2 different queues: return/exchange and order pickup/registry. They filter people into two line queues and do not handle first-come, first-served with only the one team member behind the desk. All pickups are handled first; I was waiting quite a while for my exchange (which, on account of the wait, I turned into a return-only) despite my arrival before a long line of customers picking up orders. I would not advise returning or exchanging goods at this particular location; find another Target store and save yourself some time. read more
