I used to love going to this target before the remodel! Now, it's just awful. Target was my go to place for everything even just to relax and enjoy. Now, it's so stressful going in. I feel like there is way too much stuff and how they did their layout is just not practical. It makes it look cluttered and messy. I have to say this is not my favorite Target, but it is the close one. Hopefully after the remodel done, they will do a better job of stocking the shelves. My years now if they are out of something, it seems like it never comes back. They just stick it with different items. The store is being reorganized, though at the moment, ruined is a better term. Not only are products being moved all around, we've dealt with that numerous times, even at other Targets, but the new displays are so ill-fitted that some item, such as Bigelow tea boxes couldn't be removed from the shelving. After the third attempt at finding/extracting a product eluded us, we left our cart in an aisle and exited. We won't return--at least until they're done. Awful management! Awful! read more

I used to love coming to this target but when you have young unexperienced LP person accuse you of stealing water when it's on your receipt it shows that you bought it and they still don't believe you and then make you re-purchase it and Not till you show him the matching numbers as my original receipt then they just say 'oh I'm sorry ma'am"...I'm sorry does not make up for the embarrassment of everybody staring at me while somebody accuses me of stealing water!!!companes get sued for these type of mistakes...I suggest you train your LP personnel!!!... you just lost my family and I business!!!! read more

This target has disgusting hygiene standards !! One of the worst bathrooms I have ever been in. Smells like it hasn't been cleaned all week and the walls and doors never wiped down since it opened. Doesn't necessarily surprise me based in its clientele but I would hope that such a large corporation would take pride in its name. First THANK YOU for not yelling at me for not wearing a mask. Myself or my children cannot wear them and to walk into a store and not have someone yell EXCUSE ME in front of everyone was quite nice. None of the scanners were working to get pricing so that was hard to get prices on things that weren't labeled. I also tried on my app but a lot of things couldn't be read for some reason. I came to get a squashmellow or whatever they are called and online they're more expensive than in store. Luckily they had two left and I bought both. They have a GREAT selection of grocery items. The store is laid out pretty confusing so i wandered around aimlessly looking for things for ever bc I felt like I didn't want to bother workers bc I cannot wear a mask and some people are weird about that. Didn't want to "offend" anyone. I would have done drive up ordering but nothing is ever available when I try to add things to my cart so i had to go into the store. I come to this target weekly... It's nice and clean. The cafe is a whole other story though! Employee at 3pm on a Wednesday is not very pleasant. She has a nasty scowl on her face when I ordered a hotdog and icee. I usually get popcorn and an icee while I'm shopping but no popcorn available this Wednesday... I was also a little surprised that it cost over $5 for a hotdog and drink! My popcorn and same icee is normally under $3. Hope the popcorn machine is fixed next week! Also there's no ketchup available for my hotdog and honestly, I'm scared to ask the employee for ketchup cause of her nasty scowl when I asked for a hotdog. On the other hand, the early afternoon employee on Tuesdays is very attentive and helpful. Always nice and asks if I need anything else like napkins and such. The bad experience won't deter me from coming back but I thought I'd let it be known. read more

The carts were filthy on our most recent visit, I understand that isn't necessarily the fault of the store but those who patronize it, but I also understand it isn't too hard to clean up the popcorn and litter from the slobby people who shopped before me. Yesterday I went to the TECH Dept to purchase a new phone. I dread having to change cell phones and deal with the cellular companies; however, I have gone to Target TECH before and had a positive experience so I thought I would try it again. Jackie in the Camarillo store Tech Dept is AWESOME!!! She is the reason i will continue to use Target TECH for any electronic needs. I love Target though, I love the product selection and especially the clothes and shoes. I probably spend more and buy things things I don't need more often than not but I love the stuff! This is one of the better targets in the area because they have a good selection here and are usually in stock of wanted/needed items. I love their $1/ $3 section here because they always have such a good variety. The layout is nice here, as most Target's have. The Starbucks here as expected, which serves good coffee, they have some food selections to choose from, and they have pretty good service. read more

Worst experience ever. Purchased 12 items online, did a curbside pickup, ended with only 8 items at home...such a joke. They don't even notify you of missing items unless you bring it up. Was on hold for a while and got a refund, but literally would have been much faster to just go to the store and make the purchase there. Just so disappointed in Target customer service. Target is awesome, always happy to get or give a gift card. On our recent visit, my husband went to pick up a prescription. The medication was very expensive and it was the same as my generic version. The pharmacy told us that our doctor would not approve the generic version and recommended we call him. Well it paid off, we placed a call and the doctor approved the generic version. The pharmacy worked with us to give us the best deal. Also it didn't hurt that one of the pharmacists was really cute ;) I highly recommend this pharmacy, never a long line and they're always helpful. read more

We had a terrible experience with solicitors blocking the entrance and exit NOT wearing masks and insisting that we sign the petitions. I asked them to back up and put on a mask and they thought it was funny. My wife thinks she got COVID from them simply because they would not back away. I called the police and they came and asked them to put on masks. But it's voluntary so they won't. Target said they couldn't do anything. But it seems to me it's private property right in front of the entrance. Target is not protecting its customers. We feel we were assaulted and Target doesn't care. read more

Here's my experience at the Camarillo California store today: the store doesn't accept Apple Pay or Android Pay, but I was told I could place an order online. Did so, but then was told we needed to wait for another department to process the order. Literally had the product at the customer service desk, and Target had my order in the system, but I couldn't have the product because somebody needed to scan a barcode. I'm okay with that (inventory tracking or whatever), but seeing as I was standing right there with the product, couldn't we have just scanned that barcode and been done with it? I didn't have 2 hours to wait, but no one was willing to expedite things. Order in hand, product in hand, but I couldn't have it. Target, you lost an order (and a customer) today. read more

I visited this Target today in an attempt to get an iPad 2. They had them in stock but refused to sell them to myself and two other customers. The reason they gave was because they were 'on hold' which is against target policy. We called the manager over and they continued to refuse us the sale. They claimed that people had called and placed holds on those items and they were not going to sell them. When the people who had placed these items on hold finally did arrive, an hour later, they were obvious friends of the employees who were helping us. They quickly sold them the products and left those of us who had been there first, waiting, high and dry. If you are looking for fair service you should look elsewhere. While this sort of nepotism may not occur on all shifts, it did happen under the managers supervision. read more

Waited 15 minutes in line in Electronics just to buy a poster frame and the lovely tech employee named Porter asked me what i needed and i said I just wanted to buy this one item and he told me no this is electronics you have to go to the front and i told him "have you seen the line at the front" and he didnt care . The line at self check out was probably 20 minutes long and the other check lanes had a line about 30 guests waiting... so i dont see why i cant buy this one item in electronics when hes just sitting there telling me no and he's not helping any guests. The restrooms in this Target are filthy. There is raised mold/muck growing on the faucets. These bathrooms are always dirty and smell awful. Disgusted with my visit today. I had usually shopped at this location because it was less crowded than the other stores and I could get in and out faster. Plus it's conveniently located near other stores I frequent. I've noticed issues at this location the last few trips and today really pissed me off. Few traditional cashiers were open. I get that given the pandemic. I would've gone through self-checkout but saw one line that had a few people in it, but they didn't have a lot of items in their carts. I went in that line. MISTAKE! Somehow, we ended up being the slow line. And then the cashier took another customer ahead of me who was not even in line - they were waiting against the wall on the other side of the register. I thought, "Do I look like I have all day to waste here?" If I had known yet another person would be in front of me, I'd have done self-checkout instead. She didn't ask or explain it to me, she just let her in. I turned and looked at the woman behind me in complete shock and shrugged. She replied, "That's my mother!" I asked, "Well why didn't she get in line?" She said, "She was in line a while ago." I thought, "Well, I've been standing here all this time and she wasn't in line since I was here." If she had to leave the line to pick up something else, then that doesn't mean she gets to cut in line later on. But these days, if you speak up publicly to the cashier or manager, then YOU are the bad person. When I walked past the mother, I said, "Next time get in the line." Folks, just because your family member is checking out doesn't give you the right to walk up the other way in the checkout aisle so you can be closer to them in line with your separate order. It's still cutting the line. I'll be shopping online from now on or at Amazon instead. read more

I come here all the time for most everything. I use my Red card and always use the Cartwheel. The place is always clean and the staff/clerks are always friendly and helpful. I like some of their designer clothing (the one time deal thing), for example my last favorite one was the Victoria Beckham line. I also get beddings products here. I got a black bed quilt for my son's bed maybe 4 yrs ago and it's still in a very good condition and the color is still black (wash it once a week). This place was truly terrible. I shopped, and that went fine. Unfortunately, I had to use the restroom before leaving. And that is where a 3 star review turns into a 1. Waited for a few minutes while the restroom was closed for "cleaning." The kid came out (wearing a strange non-resident code hat and earbuds), said it'd just be another minute and went back in. Ok. He finished and I walked into this freshly cleaned restroom... floors had trash and mud on the ground, a few little puddles. First stall I walked into was NOT flushed, TP strewn everywhere... seriously, he just ignored that? Really, all of the stalls were disgusting, spots all over the walls, "hygenic" wastebaskets overflowing, the toilets have not been scrubbed, maybe ever? Stained and crusty... so SO terrible. I felt disgusting just being in there and CANNOT believe the kid thinks he "cleaned" it. I wonder if there is a seperate restroom for employees/management and so they never see this? Or, worse, and likely, they DO see it and ignore it. Yikes. I usually LOVE Target. But this Target is poorly cared for. read more

I spend way too much money at Target. I've bought everything baby, most things canine, and just about everything for myself there at some point. It's good. However, I HATE this Target. First off, the parking. Holy shit. The 4-way stop is the stuff of legend. There is ALWAYS someone rolling through the stop or cutting someone off. Or, there's general confusion and gridlock. I hate it. Target should teach a seminar to ensure the safety of its patrons. Second, the parking lot. Folks, it's a PARKING lot, not a "gun it and do 40 mph" lot. This isn't a video game, and you're going to kill someone. Third, there's crossing the road into the store. One day, I stood on the Target side with a stroller, baby, and three bags over my shoulder, in the pouring rain. Stood there while at least a dozen cars drove right on by. I'm at a crosswalk. STOP.. Okay, so you've made it to the store. But wait! There are at least half a dozen employees smoking out front. That's awesome, especially for all the kids and people with health issues walking in. Target: put yer smokers elsewhere. It looks bad and is gross. Okay, so you're in the store. You have a cart, and you're off. First, you need photos. But wait - one of the photo kiosks is out of order (as usual), and the other is being occupied by a couple editing every detail of 1000 photos one---- by------ one. I've attempted to print photos here 4 times and succeeded once. xxxxxxxx EPIC PHOTO STORY ASIDE: That time, a message popped up on the screen that the kiosk was out of receipt tape, and did I want a receipt? I hit "No", because I didn't. Unbeknownst to me, that's how you pay for the photos - by showing the receipt to the clerk. So, no receipt. I was standing there with my photos. Nobody was in the photo department (nobody was there the entire time I was printing photos, although people on break kept wandering through). The "Customer Service" (ha - bitter laughter - ha ha) gals kept staring at me, but wouldn't walk over. I said loudly, "It's out of paper." They ignored me. I stood there probably 15 minutes, waiting for them to finish with the people returning worn underwear, half-eaten bagels, and all the other sketchy crap they reshelve. Finally, I ended the session and walked to the CS line, where I was told I needed to wait. So, I did. All the time thinking.... I could just leave, but Target security would tackle me at the knees before I hit the Big Red Ball outside. So, I got to the front of the line and said, "How do I pay for these? I don't have a receipt." "Um, you need a receipt." "Yeah. Got that. I don't have one." Finally figured out how to charge me for the photos, and I was done. That debacle took years off my life. END ASIDE xxxxx Okay, I love baby stuff. I buy it, hoard it, use it. This baby section is ridiculously bad in design. Maybe they are at all stores, but the clothes are so packed together, you can't push a cart through, and they're always picked over/half on the floor/on the wrong rack. Snacks, etc. are fine. No complaints there. Pharmacy is run by morons. Sorry, but it's true. I once stopped there to drop off a prescription. There's a pharmacist in back, someone at the register, and nobody at the drop-off place. The girl at the cash register was frazzled. People are approaching the counter from every angle, cutting each other off, butting in with "Oh, I just have a question...", or "Wait, can you explain this to me now?" It was chaos. Another thing that freaks me out is, they don't ask for ID of ANY sort. So, I could walk in there and ask for anyone's script and get it? Good to know! Okay, so you've made it through the store. Then, there's the checkout. It's like Battleship, trying to get a spot with others looking to maneuver their subs over to prime position. They have to scan ID for alcohol. Fine, but mine (from another state) never scans. I tell them this each time I buy alcohol, but they still try, try again, try a third time, get confused, mumble, call the manager, manager's on break, second manager is eating a bag of chips, etc. Le sigh. Okay, you're out! Run like HELL across the street to your car and take a pull off that $5 Starbucks. You're going to need it for the drive home. read more
