I was at the JTCC in College Park and needed to pick up some items before heading back to Washington D.C., so I stopped off at this Target. This is more like a mini-Target, or Target express, and its main clientele are college students, particularly at the University of Maryland. Even though this store is not as large as some Targets, it still has a nice amount of merchandise including clothing, furniture, home essentials and food. It is well organized, too. There is self-checkout, as well as checkout from a cashier. This keeps the lines moving well even if it is crowded. There is free parking in the spacious garage underneath this Target. Altogether, this is a nice target location near the campus of the University of Maryland, which has all the essential items that you need. read more

First visit at a Target Express and it was amazing. Merchandise was so well-organized and inventory is well-stocked. Of course it's a smaller store so you won't have as many options as you would with a standard Target store but it's location is also so convenient since it's just right on UMCP's campus. read more

Target Express is located dead smack in the middle of College Park on the corner of Baltimore Ave & College Ave. There's tons of bike parking and an attached garage. While it's much smaller than your average Target, it definitely has all of the essentials you'd need on any given day PLUS a pharmacy! It's definitely worth checking out! read more

This is obvious but... since Target Express is the closest thing to a grocery store around here, they charge more than a regular Target store. It's not a huge difference, but it's usually only a few cents to a dollar difference at most - depending on the product. My main complaint about this location is that they usually don't have cashiers at the cash registers, and their self-checkout machines don't accept cash. So if you want to use cash, you would have to either wait around for someone to notice you standing around awkwardly at the cash register or you'd have to approach an employee (who is usually busy) yourself. I know this isn't an enormous deal, but it is still a bit inconvenient. read more

As an alumna of UMD who wishes this Target was around when I was still undergrad, this is a great alternative to unnecessarily going to the Target stores in PG or Beltway Plazas for small personal products and food. It's convenient because it's right across the street from campus. It's small but it has most of the necessities for a lower price than CVS. It even has a grocery section. People may complain about it not having much but they need to realize its a Target EXPRESS... meant to meet the needs of COLLEGE STUDENTS! For students who may not have a car on campus, this is a game changer because I remember those days of waiting at least an hour for a bus to go to the Target at PG Plaza and hoping not to miss it and be stuck at the mall for another hour. This target express is very convenient which is exactly what you get coming here. Its a convenience store that has everything you need, and not much extra (well ok maybe a little more). On this occasion, I came around 8:15am and the door was still closed. When I'm in a time crunch and ran to get here, I was a little annoyed to come and bang on the door until they opened it. Sadly, there was a kid standing in the rain, he said he'd been waiting for 15 minutes for the door to be open and they just looked at him. I was on a time crunch, they should've been open, so I banged until they came and unlocked. The store was nice inside but it must've been a busy night they were stocking all of the shelves. They were in the grocery isle where i needed to go, fresh isle and everywhere. I had to navigate around them to get to what I needed. I think this is a nice store especially for the area, but for a target I just expect better stocking and service. When they opened the door, they didn't even look at us or apologize for it being locked. Either way, this place gets the job done. read more

Strengths of this Target include: (a) it's conveniently located right near campus; (b) it's new, and subsequently, extremely clean; (c) they are adequately staffed, and as a result have relatively short lines. Weaknesses are as follows: (a) prices are very high for your average Target; (b) it's a small store, so they have a very limited selection. Further, they have chosen to narrow their selection to mostly Target brand products. As we all know, the Target brand is atrocious; I love Target as a store, but I will avoid purchasing their brand at all costs. At this location, that's rarely possible; (c) the chips and saltines that I purchased were both stale. I'm not sure how that's even possible. In conclusion, very convenient, and obviously fills a hole in the market here. Just remember to keep your expectations low for both selection and price. read more

Considering it's an "Express" it's not a terrible store. Has more of a selection of items than I thought it would. It's conveniently located near campus, and has most of the things I need. My only issue is that the three times I have been in, there seems to always be a shortage of certain items on the shelves, as if they either aren't restocking or something. Three times I've gone on for deodorant, and all three times they were out of what I use. Weird. Other than that, a great store! read more

This Target Express just opened yesterday underneath the newest apartments in College Park, the Landmark. Inside there is a pharmacy and ATM. It seemed like there was the full array of beauty products, small section of school supplies and electronics, very basic clothing items (socks, underwear, UMD gear, etc), grocery and a small selection of home goods. But it pretty much has everything a college kid would need. This store will probably be a such a lifesaver for students who can't/don't want to drive all the way to the other larger Targets in Greenbelt or PG Plaza. read more

This is a "Target Express"? OK, that explains it. Was very disappointed in this limited Target location. Very new but very small for a Target. Had the things a college student would want or need but even for them, it's small IMHO. The place was clean and looks like it's made exclusively for UMd. which is also disappointing. Worse is the limited parking in the new parking garage. Also had a tough time maneuvering around the concrete columns in the limited spaces available. Overall it was a shame this place I have driven by so often, isn't what I expected it to be. read more

I love this Target Express. I've only been to it a handful of times but they carry all sorts of essentials college kids would need - pillows, cleaning supplies, groceries, and etc. The store hours are great. And the staff members are nice and friendly too! read more

I used to love this place a lot. The stuff there is geared towards a college lifestyle and they have cheap candy. Well last time I was there the manager who was at the register made me count my chance I was using to pay for him. read more

This Target Express (near both the University of Maryland College Park and College Park metro) has a reasonable variety of items to choose from for the store being just a quick stop store. My husband and I recently purchased some affordable Dial brand of Omega mixture Omega packed sea berrie soap bars (ten- 4 ounce pack), almond and shea butter suave conditioner, citrus rush scent of suave 3 in 1 conditioner+shampoo+bodywash , orange juice, and simply balanced variety tilapia filets. The customer service from the cashiers was outstanding and my husband and I were in and out of this College Park MarylandTarget Express within a reasonable timeframe. However, due to the cost of the items and more or less the size of the Target Express store it is more for if you need a few items until payday. If you are trying to get groceries to last you for at least two weeks that are only 1-2 buses away from the Prince GeorgePlaza Metro or the University of Maryland College Park metro the following other places might better serve your needs; Target or Giant grocery store near the PG Plaza metro, Giant grocery store near the Greenbelt metro, Shoppers grocery store in College park metro and/or Costco near the Wheaton metro. read more
