I am a frequent Target shopper. This particular Target location provided a wide selection of merchandise. The service was below average. An older customer needed support operating the mobilized scooter, and not one Target staff stopped to assist the older guest. My eight-year-old son started to support me until another Target customer openly said, "A Target staff needs to help out, not customers." Then I was looking for Carmex and asked staff for assistance since this Target location was not my home store, and literally, both staff I asked looked like a deer in headlights. SHOPPERS BEWARE!!!!! I usually don't like to leave bad reviews but what I saw today (3/12/23) was so disturbing! I went to the pet section to pick up some dog food when I look down to the floor and I see a RAT!! A small black rat zipped down the aisle and under the shelves in the dog food section. I have never seen a rat in a STORE where food is sold!! We were so disgusted we left everything and went elsewhere. I really wish I had been able to snap a picture or video but it happened to fast! Prices were inconsistent and place was a bit messy. Caught them a few times were the price on the tag was different than what was scanned. The employees didn't do a great job reorganizing items. I was finding misplaced stuff everywhere. To top it all off the cashier was super slow. That was the final straw that pushed things over. I only had one item, but they kept allowing others to go in front and what should have taken less than 3 minutes ended up being more than 15!!! read more

It's really irritating and embarrassing when an employee of a store you don't go to often knows less than you about where products are on the shelves. I was in the electronics department around 10:20am. I was looking for USB storage devices, WHICH THEY DO HAVE, but I couldn't locate them. I asked a young lady to assist me and she pointed me towards HDMI cables which I had to explain were not USB devices. She looked it up on her mobile device and escorted me to where the laptops are. She then was showing me the locations for USB chargers and hubs. She said that was them and they don't have anymore. I told her that is not correct, these are not USB storage devices these are Hubs. And she said they were out otherwise they'd be right there. I pointed to the labels and prices of the empty slots and again told her this is the wrong area, these are not USB storage devices. I was about to leave and go to Microcenter before I saw them. They are on a lower shelf that's a little hard to see for anyone not 3ft tall. I told her this was them but she walked off. This is infuriating. I guess Target doesn't discriminate against illiterate people and it's not a requirement to work there. read more

I also gave the receipt enclosed in the gift when my friend tried to use it the card had zero and even though she showed Target the receipt they said to bad. To my very LARGE Target store, Thanks for carrying Market Pantry brand (Target home brand) Milk Chocolate Covered Peanuts & Dark Chocolate Covered Almonds. They are killer good in every way since there is no candy coating, so they melt very well in my mouth. I am addicted! Also, the staff are always smiling and helpful. I guess that's because you are in the middle of Irvine next to Woodbridge, so everyone needs to be on their best behavior. Plus, you are near my favorite grocery store: Grocery Outlet (5 minutes from the Target parking lot on Barranca ..... IN 5pm traffic). You have greater selections than some other full sized Targets. I will never shop at this Target again. I have seen too many instances of people being harassed by unsupervised kids, and today it finally happened to me. Today I went into the store and when I was waiting by the door for my family, a young teenager shoplifted a bag of chips by the door. He was with a bunch of kids, around 7 or 8 guys. I was watching them but didn't say anything because I thought AP would be soon to follow. While I was waiting there, the kid decided to turn around and cuss me out. He legit wanted to fight me. Mind you, I am a female over 40, and this kid was yelling all kinds of profanity and calling me names. After I stood my ground with him, he decided to leave. The store did absolutely nothing. AP never came out, never once asked if I was okay, nothing. I told the lead in charge and they felt bad and proceeded to tell me these kids come in constantly and steal. They said the same group of kids were fighting with customers a few days ago. They also picked a fight with the ladies at the pharmacy. I am just so tired of this store letting all the teenagers run around and make shopping a nightmare for others. The day before Mother's Day, I was in there and some kids were throwing merchandise over the aisles to one another. They then put it down, paid for nothing, and left. Come here around 2 pm when school gets out and you will see the store filled with kids that harass the Starbucks workers, yell at each other in the store, and bump you as they run through the store playing. I get that kids want to have fun, but Target is not a daycare or a park. The management needs to do something about the safety of their shoppers. I know there might be legalities involved, but they need to stop letting kids control the store. The managers all hate the kids being there, so I'm not sure why they don't handle the problem. So many people in my neighborhood avoid this location for the same reason. Most of the moms I know will only shop during the times the kids are not there. It's a shame this location has gone so far downhill. I hope someone sees this and starts to implement a plan to protect the shoppers who are there to spend money and enjoy their time in the store. read more

I feel like this Target has really changed over the past few years or so. Every time I come here, I dont find what I am looking for. Anywhere from simple every day things, to not so every day things. Today. I needed lemon juice. I asked an employee after not being able to find it, and she told me Aise 34 / 35. Thats where juice is. And alcohol. Not lemon juice. I went back to the produce area, where the lemons were and looked again and finally found it way down low, hiding. The store is SO hot... it is 80 degrees in Irvine today and the heat was running. Why. For real, WHY? The cashiers are slower than molasses uphill. Today, the woman in front of me lost it and yelled out that someone needs to get more cashiers open, and the cashier said that was the managers job - that they walk around and access the situation from time to time. Well, they need to do it more often, and more efficiently. I waited in line for 20 minutes, with two people in front of me. I switched lanes at one point, because I was about to lose it as well... and it was also soooooooooooooooooo slooooooooooooooooow. I needed one thing, which they didnt have, and planned on having a quick trip in here. I of course found a few other things to buy, but I almost abandoned everything and just walked out, dripping sweat, empty handed. I wont return here. read more

This store is the worst it's in a bad location there is never any parking avaliable and the people are all rude and aggressive. I also hate the staff at Target you smile at them or ask for help they act like they cannot hear you but really they're just giving you a cold shoulder. Like if you're a reserved person don't do costumer service simple. The security gaurd that works here is a skinny dude he is never friendly for instance you smile at him or wave or just ask a question he acts snobby or acts like he can't hear you but really he is just a reserved idiot who thinks it's unprofessional or wrong to be nice. Just because your in security doesn't mean you can't be nice like their is allied universal guards who are way more friendly. I been to the Target in Aliso Viejo and Irvine Spectrum staff are way more helpful. There is also alot of teens who come after school and don't even have manners and harrass other shoppers and fool around I even saw the security gaurd that I mentioned he just checks his phone doesn't do anything it's like he is encouraging bad behavior. Awesome store! Awesome staff! Everything about this store I really like! all of the items that are on the rack are always super clean and neat. Everything is not all spread out over the place like at Goodwill and Walmart locations. This target seems like it has class. I like to shop at a location that is classy and makes you feel comfortable when you first walk in the door they even have little snacks and things you can buy if you're hungry right by the register when you go to check out. That is always super helpful when you are busy or on the go and do not always have time to stop you can just grab yourself a few little snacks and you can munch on them all day and all night if you like They even have some really cool clothes and items that you can buy for younger people that they would also enjoy read more

I absolutely love this Target. Items are very well stocked and consistently organized, so I almost always am in and out real quick. The staff do a great job at mitigating long lines by adding staff where needed. The store is also dog friendly! I bring my white husky in when running errands and the security and staff are always very sweet to my dog with greetings. A very costumer-service oriented Target! read more

Shady ethical practices at this Target. Grabbed a black skirt in the clearance section. It had part of a clearance sticker on the tag itself but no price other than the original $19. Decided to try it out anyway and if I liked it, I would ask about the price. Go to one person and they said it is b not in the item system anymore to ask someone else about the price? I go to someone else who says I need to go to the back and ask my manager. She goes to the back and comes out saying that it's the full $19 price tag. I wasn't rude but asked her why and she said that that's just the price of the item. I told her it was odd for something to be full price when the first person said it was not in the system AND the crew in the back took off the partial clearance price tag. Felt like it was an older item they had to mark out of stock and then they wanted to me leave it behind for full price. 1) really unethical practices especially for items that are so old they aren't in your system anymore 2) they took off the piece of clearance sticker in the back and tried to make me pay full price. I would have understood if I checked the price and it came out to full price. I would have just said nah but was told it was out of their system already and they still decided to deter me from buying it and give me full price Disappointed in the lack of service and lack of what seems like an unethical situation. I mainly do all of my "target pickups" here. I usually order ahead and skip the lines to get my order. I love the staff! They are always quick and pleasant. There are times when I do shop at the store and the lines may be slow, but again the staff has been very kind and helpful to me. As far as the cleanliness, I've never seen dirty floors or dirty bathrooms, so I'm not sure what some reviewers are talking about. read more

I've avoided Target ever since they started to allow men in the girls bathrooms. Plus I've never thought their prices are very good (especially on food products). Today I asked the pharmacist where the baby powder was. She said in the baby department halfway across the store. Really! They must have only men in marketing. Most of us know that women (and men) use it for personal hygiene. So I walk over to the baby department and they have none of it in stock. I will continue to try to avoid this place. read more

Normally we love this Target location, so much so that we make a point of shopping it rather than visiting the store literally up the street from our home. We come for a variety of products including groceries, specifically fresh fruit. During a pandemic, fresh fruit can be tough to find for an affordable price. Today, in his haste to get through a crowded store where other customers would not follow social distancing nor the current double-masking rule, my husband tossed a bag of organic mandarins into the cart and got on with his day. I unpacked the purchases he brought home and nearly threw up when I came to these oranges. As you can see from the photos, it's not a few spots or specks of mold, it's full-on, nasty, powdery green-gray mold covering HALF of one item and compromising every item in the bag. DISGUSTING!! UNSANITARY!! Not to mention incredibly lazy by whichever associate is assigned to stock and maintain this department. Mold such as this doesn't happen overnight, which makes this so much worse. I would absolutely welcome a response from management on this issue. Needless to say, I believe a refund is in order and please, go through your displays as well as your back stock to remove further compromised packages. I found that the workers are rude and do not want to help you look for items that are not available at the time.

I went into this Target (3750 Barranca Pkwy, Irvine, CA 92606) for the first time in months yesterday (Thursday, July 30). Two of the workers on the floor had their masks below their noses and at least 5 customers did not have masks on. If you are worried about getting COVID-19, I would avoid this Target - I know I will. read more
