I love when I can walk into a store and am immediately met with a plethora of seasonal decor. There's just something about it that brings me such joy. It's not even September, and Michael's has all the decorative items to get you ready for Halloween, Thanksgiving and any other fall celebration you might have. But, that's not what we came here for on this particular item. I was looking for balloons, those big foil number one for a birthday celebration. They have a whole section called the "party shop" and it was easy to find what I needed. The staff were super helpful as well and blew up the balloons there at their balloon bar so I didn't have to buy one of those helium tanks. The balloons were perfect and lasted for hours even with the wind trying to take them away. I really appreciated their attention to detail with the ribbon, making sure they were the same height. It was also easy to checkout, they have these digital checkout kiosks now and everything was very efficient.

The distribution of employees was very poor and dissipated, with workers being huddled up in corners, though this is expected from a corporate company. Ali was very incompetent, I asked repeatedly for help, just for him to forget. We spent 5 minutes trying to find the right key for the security glass. I will say, I received good service from Andrew!! No glaze of course, but he hooked up me up with free posca markers.

Well, Michaels in Tustin really left me hanging - literally! I went in to grab some yarn for my girlfriend ' blanket project, but I couldn't find a single employee to help me out. The self-checkout was a nightmare, and when We finally managed to ask a question, We got the stink eye from the cashier. Looks like my girl starting to think I'll never get that blanket - maybe She just have to knit one out of pure frustration instead. This place is a yarn-tastrophe!

Michaels is not your granny's craft shop. They have almost everything you could want to work with hobby/craft wise. The associates were helpful. This Michaels has lots of items in stock. They also have plenty of things on sale. I recommend this Michaels. Only downside, the parking is difficult in this plaza.

Staff is very kind and helpful but it's clear that management isn't scheduling enough staff to meet the needs of customers.

The store could use a remodel, but the staff was friendly. Plenty of easy parking and they were not busy. Online order pick up is a breeze.

I absolutely loved my experience at Newport Needlepoint! Deborah was incredibly friendly, patient,…read moreand efficient. Since this was my very first needlepoint project, she gave me so much personal attention and made the whole experience fun and easy. She helped me choose my first canvas and all the threads, set up the frame for me, and even taught me the basic stitches -- California to Maine, Maine to California, and NEVER Florida to Washington! -- plus the French knot! Deborah is truly a sweetheart and made my first needlepoint experience so special. I also love the concept of the store: you choose your canvas and threads, then you can sit around a communal table, work on your project, and meet interesting people along the way. It feels creative, social, and welcoming all at once. Such a wonderful experience. I loved it and can't wait to come back!

I'm from the Palm Springs area and I made a trip to visit this store. I follow a content creator…read morewho raved about this store and figured my boyfriend and I can make it a beach day too. Location is really cool. Lots of shops and restaurants. The store itself is cool. Lots of variety and a big table for people to sit and practice. Upon entry, no one greeted me. The employee (owner? I'll just call employee) was helping a guest check out, so I decided to browse while waiting. There was a woman seated at the table practicing and I'm standing behind her. The employee walks up to her and sits down to help her. She finally looks at me and asks if I needed help with anything. I respond, "Yes, I'm a first timer and don't know where to start". She says, "well, you won't be the first person to ever do this. Other people have already done it." (Something like that) I'm confused by the comment and the lady practicing chimes in, "You mean you're a beginner". I awkwardly laugh it off and agree that I'm a beginner. Did I say it weird? Did i somehow insinuate I'd be the first person to ever do this? It was such a weird exchange. A customer then walks into the store and she gets up to help them. I kind of uncomfortably continue walking around in circles because I don't know where to even begin. She brings the lady over to show some recent work of other customers and I compliment that it's incredible work- trying to build a little rapport- not successfully. The employee finishes up with the customer and goes back to sit with the lady practicing- doesn't even glance at me. I thought maybe I'd just try to figure it out on my own because I was too uncomfortable to ask for help at this point. Then I decided this wasn't a place I wanted to spend my money and quietly walked out the door. I wouldn't describe this place as warm or helpful and it's solely because of the lack of customer service. My experience was just uncomfortable and look, I know this is trivial stuff, but as fellow business owners, I just want to point out my perspective. Prices for anything and everything are sky high. Where people choose to spend their money matters. If someone chooses us, we are eternally grateful. Truly. Whether it's $100 or $20- that's money that someone decided to spend at our place. That's support they decided to give to us. They could go anywhere, but they chose us. So when people walk in, even if I'm busy, I always acknowledge them and say hello and tell them I'll be right with them. That goes a long way. We always try to give everyone the best experience possible. Sometimes things slip through the cracks and you can't always make everyone happy, but we try. I wish this business tried. I much prefer to shop local and support small businesses. It's a priority of mine. I was anticipating spending $100-300. My sister lives out here, so I would have been a return customer. I don't think this business is impacted by reviews. I doubt people would check reviews before supporting- it's just not that type of place. So, 3 stars to not negatively impact their rating and a long review, because constructive criticisms can be helpful for positive changes. The other reviews so far reveal the problem. People either have an incredible experience or a horrible 1 star experience and there's a common denominator in majority of the 1 stars that's an easy fix.

I just left Michael's Store in Irvine, Woodbridge Plaza. I was Assisted voluntarily at the register…read moreby their associate, Lena. Lena kindly offered me (!!!) to actually help me check out so I would not have to use the automated system there. I thanked her for the personal touch. She was wonderful, kind and very bubbly. While we were going through the process, a very rude customer came up and interrupted our transaction - twice... this rude customer was not just rude directly to Lena - but exceedingly condescending to her as well. Lena VERY professionally maintained her cool and addressed that customer appropriately - while continuing to work with me. I'VE NEVER EXPERIENCED ANYBODY THAT RUDE IN MY LIFE. This 'lady' was so catastrophically beyond off the chart she should be in an institution as she appeared very dangerous and unhinged. After Lena check me out and I was getting ready to head out, I felt bad that Lena had been so abused and bullied. I turned directly to that rude person and told her exactly what I thought of her rudeness and condescending entitled BS.. Of course, things did not go well - nor did I expect them to as I am accustomed to ADDRESS such rude, bullying & grievously, abusive people (there is no excuse for her type of behavior - ever!). This ultra-entitled foreigner was a horrible person overall. Lena elegantly worked to deflate the situation and did a great job. Lena deserves five gold stars AND deserves acknowledgment by Michael's for being the most professional staff member I have met IN ANY retail operation. Thank you, dear Lena! I will definitely return to this location because of you!

She was friendly, offered suggestions and let us know about discounts we would be eligible for. We saved 20% which really helps, especially this time of year. We feel it was a good value for both of the frames we purchased. I have had pictures framed here before and I'll continue to do so.
