After a long day, I came in for my annual visit and from the receptionist to the tech that did my exam to Dr. Rajani, and also the receptionist that helped me with my order option was very professional personable and had great customer service. I definitely recommend this target optical location for your glasses and contacts. I also recommend if you have insurance make sure to use it and reap the benefits that is offered. I recently visited target optical because i needed a contact fitting as i switched to toric lenses for an astigmatism. The reception lady was kind and so was the doctor. However even after brining my old and new contact prescriptions from Kaiser the dr recommended i use regular and not toric lenses. She gave me the same prescription i have been using for the last 4 years. I kindly told her i wouldn't have paid a $110 contact fitting fee to leave with the same contacts that im seeing blurry in right now. So eventually she agreed that a toric lens's would be better since it was giving me better clarity on the eye test. So i leave the exam room, pay the $110 fee and then im told that target optical price matches 1-800 contacts so i agree to look at the prices target can offer since i was planning on utilizing the 1-800 contacts holiday sale. The sales lady was very kind and personable and sits down with me to look at contacts and she goes and gets a print out of the prescription the dr just gave me. She looks at it and reads out the prescription. And guess what.....the prescription entered into the computer was the REGULAR NON TORIC LENSE I DIDNT NEED. So, i kindly tell her that this is a mistake, of course she questions me and thinks im the one who doesn't know what im talking about. She goes back to talk to the doctor and comes back 5-10 minutes later and tells me.... You were right! Of course i was. Anyways after sorting that out i was slightly skeptical because given that if i hadn't said anything i would have received the wrong prescription contacts i proceed to order some price matched from 1-800 contacts given the convenience of not having to order them when i got home. After ordering contacts, the sales rep tells me that with a contact purchase you get 40% off a pair of glasses! This sounded great! (I later find out it was a horrible idea) So i switch gears and look through the frames at the optical center. I am interested in finding a pair i like as the pair i recently got from Kaiser was very close to my skin tone and i decided i wanted more contrast. After debating between three pairs: an emerald green one, a brown one, and a light tan one, i try them all on in front of the sales rep. She agrees with me that the dark green ones match my eyes the best and provide the best contrast. The tan and brown ones were too close to the pair i already had. So i decide on the green pair, she rings me up for the contacts, and glasses ($320) plus the fitting fee i already paid ($110), so at this point i pay target optical $430 but am satisfied that i got new toric contacts and a cute new pair of green glasses. She tells me that the contacts will ship to my house in 3-5 days and the glasses in 2 weeks. Before i leave she gives me a business card and asks me to leave a review. (At first i thought about it because she was very kind and patient, but didn't end up doing it. However here we are leaving one now as i have recently received my glasses). On the bright side my contacts came in 2 days. The glasses came in like 10 days too. So shipping wasn't bad at all! But last night i got to open my new emerald green glasses im so excited. And guess whats in the package.....THE LIGHT TAN GLASSES I DECIDED AGAINST BECAUSE THEY WERE TOO SIMILAR TO THE ONES I ALREADY HAVE. The ones that the sales lady even agreed with me against them (see photos). So clearly there is a lack of attention to detail at target optical in inglewood. This may be a coincidence and a 1 time mess up but for the employees and doctor here to write me the wrong contact prescription AND order the wrong glasses is just ridiculous. Its now christmas eve so i cant call and tell them they screwed up. Im just annoyed that now i have to go through god know what process to get the correct frames and wait another 10-14 days to get them and likely use my gas to drive down there and show them the wrong ones they sent. Overall i thought it was a convenient idea for target to have an optical center but im now realizing that theres definitely a lack of attention to detail which when it comes to peoples vision is important!!! Perhaps ill update once i get an idea of how the glasses exchange is going to go haha. I would say your better off paying the same amount at an actual eye exam establishment and not a section in target. read more

Huge shoutout to Rosa, Cindy & Yesenia . I had my first scleral lens fitting yesterday and if you don't know it is such a frustrating process. I spent over 5 hours trying to get the lenses in. And one of the only reasons I was able to do it was because of Rosa. She sat with me during her lunch break and coached me through the process, she was extremely patient and kind. While Cindy & Yesenia encouraged me and made sure I was comfortable . All the staff are the sweetest & it honestly made my fitting process easier. Not to mention Dr. Rajani wad also very helpful and patient with me and even offered to come in on her day off if I could not get the fitting done in one day. I really didn't want to do a review but honestly it's been bothering me since my appointment. I grew up with no insurance like most people in the area do This isn't the rich area so a lot of us and people that do visit are considered low income And meeting this DR and being belittled made me feel like shit to never get a eye exam again in my life. When I came in everyone was nice. I got my exam and trial contacts and it was fine. When I just called today to order contacts the "women" over the phone were so rude. I got hung up on and then when I called back the woman argued with me and didn't apologize. She then put me on hold for almost 5 minutes. I decided to take my prescription and go to 1800 contacts. I needed a quick appointment, and they gave me one. That's the biggest reason I came back this year. Great service from the Optometrist. I paid an extra $35 (with Insurance) for the full eye exam which checks the overall health of the eyes. It was a very smooth experience! I brought in my glasses prescription from another doctor because I heard from a friend that their optical department has affordable eyewear and offer what they call worry-free protection plan which I haven't came across before. I walked in during their business hours and was greeted by the knowledgeable ladies working there. Then Rosa directed me to the men's frames and I was told their current promotions. I selected my frame and was advised by Marissa what lens type would be best for my needs and lifestyle which was great because I have never had such a detailed optical experience before. I covered all my bases and definitely opted in for the protection plan, which is a replacement plan for your eyewear that you can redeem as many times as you need within 15 months as long as you bring in your damaged glasses which is a huge plus for me since I'm not too careful and tend to sleep in them lol but a huge plus from this experience was how quickly my order came in! They told me 10 business days and it arrived sooner than expected! I highly recommend coming to this location as I see the reviews on here do not reflect the amazing service I had when I visited a few months back! Arrived at 11:08 for my 11am appointment. A funeral procession had delayed traffic. There were 2 people in line ahead of me; instead of cutting the line and being rude, I waited my turn. When the receptionist asked if I had an appointment, I said yes and gave her my name. She looked in the system and said she couldn't find me, and asked if I was sure. I said yes and said I could show her my voicemail transcription on my phone to prove it. She looked at my phone, said okay, then said I'd have to wait until 2pm or reschedule because I missed the 10 minute grace period. It was 11:14 when she told me that. I said I was already in line and our back and forth for me to prove I had an appointment wasn't my fault. She said the 11:30 was already waiting. I don't even know where to begin. Avoid management by any means necessary! Their associate Annel (i'm sure i misspelled her name, sorry) is the ONLY GOOD that comes from this store. This incident took place a few days after Father's Day and I've been waiting since then to hear from their regional manager Daria. Rosa their manager is the most incapable person I've seen in their position in retail. Refused to help her associate manage a refund. Kept telling us well you can only come in on my days. "while I'm working for this" (turns out you can get a refund from any Target Optical from any associate, Rosa just didn't train her associate to do so, also turns out any target optical could handle any return, she also refused to tell us this info) and she also kept trying to blame her associate "oh well she's new". Then she tried blaming us "Well I've been trying to call you" (she called once, when we answered) The chances of someone having to get a refund are low. I cant imagine it happens often, I spoke with another location today to try YET AGAIN to get the regional to reach out to me... and the amazing associate Annel was there and I had the opportunity to thank her again for all her help, while I was speaking to the other location's Assistant Manager Susie, she said she was going to make sure to train this associate so that this never occurs again and so that Annel has the training she deserves. If you can avoid this Target Optical I would recommend you do. Target Optical on La Cienaga is far better, they care enough for their staff to train everyone and the associates that come and help out their location when they're short on help! read more

Dr. Sun and her staff were able to accommodate my daughter with a same day visit to address her contact lens issue. Not only did she accommodate my daughter previously seen here she was also able to fit in my other teenagers who needed exams at a last minute notice. I LITERALLY could not see until I met Marissa in the optometry department. If I could give only Marissa the stars I would, I might actually buy her a star and send it to her. I work in el segundo and ripped my contact right when I got to work... tried to go to the target near by (MANHATTAN BEACH) and they told me they couldn't help me and they wanted to charge me $140 to buy a box and told me I wasn't eligible for a new eye exam?!? What does that even mean! Meanwhile I had my friend drive me around because I couldn't see anything). I couldn't see, I couldn't drive, and if it wasn't for sweet sweet Marissa I wouldn't have been able to drive home which was and hour and a half awake. Utterly disappointed. First of all, they screwed up on my appointment. I called to make an appointment for Saturday, and I never got a call to confirm on Friday.....so I called verify on Saturday morning, turns out, I wasn't even on the schedule that day. "Luckily" someone cancelled, so they scheduled me for 11:30am that day, which I was happy with. I gave them all of my personal info so they could verify my insurance policy before I came in. Well guess what? I came in a few hours later, and it wasn't till I got there that they scattered to verify my info, to no avail. They told me they couldn't find my policy number, and that my insurance office was closed, and that the insurance website had a "glitch." I've worked in customer service for over 10 years, and for them to not even have me on the schedule on the first place is a big disappointment. Second of all, I get reschedule that same day, and I walk in, and it turns out they didn't try to verify me before I even walked in, which was a HUGE waste of time. A phone call telling me they couldn't verify my insurance, and to come in at a later call would have been nice. Also, they were very careless. They didn't seem to care if I wasted my whole morning trying to get there, and getting my eye exam. The staff is super friendly, the Doctor is a Doll, everyone seems to be at your service, they try to make you feel at ease when you are nervous, I have always been told I am not a candidate for contact lenses for some reason, Dr Sun told me she recommended specific ones for me, its been a few months and I feeling great with them!!! I got a pair of regular glasses, some ray bans shades with my prescription on them!! and 12 mos of supply on contacts!! Did some shopping and left looking at my baby registry last. It took a while to get the help that I needed but the employee staff in that baby section helped me the best way they could. They were very helpful. Where one person couldn't help she called on another to get help. Three ended up helping in the process. I have never been to this Optometry center before yesterday, and to say I was thoroughly impressed is an understatement. When you first walk in, there was Victor, super easy to talk to and just an all around happy guy, he took care of me right away, and immediately I was being sent to see the Doctor. Now. Usually my optometrists have ZERO personality, but Dr. Sun was so sweet and funny, she really made me comfortable, and definitely was extremely thorough and explained herself well during the exam itself. The prices are fair, and when I went to choose my glasses, Victor was a huge help. Choosing glasses can sometimes be a drag, he made it fun, and helped me a ton with my decision. I went around looking for the best deal on a pair of decent, sturdy frames, made phone calls to retailers and asked questions inside stores. I don't know why I didn't just go to Target! When I heard that they have Optical, I thought why haven't I seen one of those before? (no pun intended) Needless to say, it was a few months I had been without prescription glasses. Target Optical was neat, clean, and organized just like their employees appeared. I thought it was cute that they all had frames on, definitely made it more inviting that they knew what they were working for. I had all these questions brewing after I was asked politely to have a seat. The lovely lady Cynthia assisted me, answered all of my questions to the fullest, offered me insurance and made sure it was worth my while! I got my lenses & frames for 130$ on a special they were having. It was definitely worthwhile. I was hesitant about going to Target Optical, but I ran out of contacts and was desperate so I gave it a shot and was gladly surprised by the wonderful staff and Independent Optometrist Dr. Sun. They accept walk-ins so if you need to see an Optometrist ASAP this is a great option. Dr. Sun is friendly and very knowledgeable. I paid $105 for a contact lenses exam and received several trials to find the right fit for my eyes. I also received my glasses prescription and plan on buying a new pair along with my contacts. I am feeling completely ripped off by their eye exam "service". Sure, it's fairly inexpensive, but they leave out one important detail: if you want them to give you pupillary distance, you have to buy glasses with them. That's fine if you buy your glasses from them or have some other way, like buying them from someone else local who can measure the distance for you, of finding it out. Otherwise, your eyeglasses prescription isn't worth the paper it is printed on because an eyeglasses manufacturer simply cannot make a pair of eyeglasses correctly without it. Note that I don't have a problem with their policy itself not to provide this information , but if they're not going to provide the information, they should state so beforehand so the customer can make an informed decision as to whether to get an exam there or not. Unfortunately, I simply am not one of those people who can afford a $99 pair of frames (which was the cheapest I could find for men) on top of the cost of the need for progressive and photochromic lenses. read more

I went to this optical and the initial visit was good. I ordered contacts and the first pair and brand were fine. However I decided to order another pair and brand (color) that the Dr recommended. This second pair and brand did not work for me and I called the office immediately. My eyes were so irratated that I could not see upon waking up and had to use warm towels. I spoke with the optical to see if I could get some help. I was told that I shoud have made a follow up appointment before ordering. I was never told to make a follow up appointment before ordering contacts. If that were so, why wasn't I informed before the rep ordered on my behalf. I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN AND after $209 down the drain. Also was told there was NOTHING they could do. I'm also calling my insurance carrier to report them.
