I was at this Target this morning around 10:00am, as a homeless Lady came into the store with her shopping cart and and 1 at a time carrying in her 20 plastic bags with her. She walked right by the Security Guard and started shopping . She loaded up with movies, stationary, waters that were in the front of the store. She put them in her shopping cart, then put her plastic bags on top and was walking to the back of the store. All the while the Security Guard was standing watching her while myself and other customers were trying to reach the checkout lane, but before she proceeded on with her shopping she was blocking 4 or 5 checkouts. I could hear a store employee talking to the Security Guard about how she was blocking customers from the checkout stands and stealing , and he started laughing.What exactly is his job? It certainly isn't looking out for the customers. SMH read more

This store falls short in addressing safety, theft and vandalism. This one store's Employees admitted watching as a presumably homeless person took the back wheel off my otherwise locked bike; the employee seemed satisfied when the thief explained he was leaving his worthless rim as a "replacement" and walked away. Employees admitted to making no effort to get store security, to say they were calling police, to say "stop" or take a pic or anything. All possibilities without risking a physical confrontation. Yes, I could have locked the back wheel instead but mistakenly reasoned that in a high traffic area by the front door no one would brazenly take the extra time and effort required to take off a rear wheel. But After talking to the store manager I realized how indifferent they are to customers outside the four walls. Preventing shop lifting is understandable but they should also care about providing a safe trip through the parking lot and preventing vandalism or theft. read more

Had the worst experience ever today, will never try out that target again. In serious need of new management. Now I know why I take the longer drive to another target, and I love target as a red card holder. Immediately turned bad when we grab a cart and saw a USED PAD! DISGUSTING! After that almost everything I looked at was placed in the wrong spot and under the wrong barcode. Like it was stocked wherever. Lastly we were moved to 3 different stands because computers were crashing. Then the employee helping us was very rude to someone behind us asking a simple question. The store is always warmer than it should be. It's Sacramento in the summer! Turn on the air conditioning. The Starbucks actually charges you for ice water, something I've never seen at a corporate store. They are ending cartwheel for discount shoppers. They have cameras at the self checkouts that seem to be placed specifically to do more than loss prevention. I'd guess they are there to do facial recognition tracking for observing buying behavior. read more

The target was well stocked and had exactly what I needed. But the cashier that checked me out was so rude and unprofessional. I'm 9months pregnant and had a coupon for 15% off the last of things on my registry I had it on my phone but lost service and it wasn't popping up. I asked her if she can help me out and that I was sorry it was just up on my phone but I lost service she ever so rudely told me well we have free wifi.. I just took a deep breath and said okay let me log on, I was able to refresh my page and the coupon then appeared as I'm doing this she tells to the other cashiers "You guys are lucky you have no customers to deal with" I then had her scan it and she was so irritated that she was doing her job. If you don't like you job why show up, why have someone that rude and unprofessional working with people that are spending there money at a store that pays you to be there. "Target trip?" Target trip!!!! I come to target mainly for home staples like toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies, kitchen appliances, beauty products, cat food, and more. Occasionally they have good deals on beer but I generally don't purchase groceries here because their food prices seem a little marked up. One thing you will notice about this target, like most other target stores, is that it is CLEAN. Clean and QUIET. This is one of the main reasons why I love target so much. Leaving my house in sweatpants at 9pm to buy kitty litter is already stressful enough, but for some reason, being inside of target is really peaceful.....and walking slowly through the beauty aisle is almost therapeutic. Ahhhhh. Don't even get me started on the dollar section near the front. Yeah I still have that cute stationery set from my last target trip, but I NEEEED this new one. IT HAS PINK TRIANGLES ON IT!!! They also have this cool coupon app called Cartwheel. Basically, when you're ready to check out, you open the Cartwheel app, scan all of the items in your cart, and it will tell you whether or not they have a coupon available for the item! I usually save between $1-$5 on my shopping trips by using the app. Definitely more convenient than clipping coupons and bringing them to the store. As for service, I've never experienced a rude or unfriendly employee here. All transactions are quick and painless (as they should be!). Returning/exchanging items is always a breeze, whether you have a receipt or not. Target is my happy place. Although maybe not the best place to get groceries, definitely deserving of a full 5 stars for everything else they offer. read more

This Target lost my business today. I will not come here. I know that people reading this won't care, or maybe you will. I don't know. A month ago, I would have said this place had the best customer service on the planet, but today I can honestly say don't shop here for anything collectible. Last week I came in and saw something on the shelf that didn't come out until 5/31. Brandon stated he will put the item on hold and I can come back on 5/31. Today is 5/29? I saw the same item on the shelf, and took it to customer service. The young lady said that it's available for purchase. I explained that Brandon had put one in the back for me with my name on it. The young lady, said it's not back there, without looking, and I explained again what I was told, and she said the new girl may have put it back out. She then said that when they hold stuff it will have my name and date for pick up on it, and. It will be in the back. I explained again that is what Brandon did, he took my name and said that I can pick it on 5/31. She said well it's not back there. This Targets customer service is not good at all. They talk down to you, and tell you one thing, and another thing happens. This is not the first time tho Target has done this. I will no longer shop here. Can't! Won't! This target is usually understocked, in every department. It's the closest one to me so I end up here more than other ones. It's definitely one of my least favorite locations on Sacramento. The employees are usually pretty nice so that is a plus and I like the Starbucks that's located inside. There's usually always a homeless person outside but it's a downtown location so it's unfortunately not surprising. They never really bother me though so there have been no issues. All in all, I don't like to shop here but it's the most convenient. I would go towards natomas and go to the one off of Truxel if the option exists. read more

I love target and this one has some good things about it. They have a huge window curtains area. It's two whole aisles. They have a great home goods area in general. I love the sheets and blankets they sell. High quality for a good price. They carry a lot of the method cleaning products that I use. They have self check out open later than a lot of the ones I've gone to in other areas. It also helps that it's walking distance from my house! read more

This isn't my favorite Target to shop. I much prefer the West Sac location but this one is less than a mile from my house so if anything, it's convenient. The cons of this location are lack of stocking empty items, crowds/long lines at the check stands, and cleanliness. The pros are that employees are usually always friendly and helpful and it's not one of the larger Target Greatlands so you can find things easier. read more

The staff was nice enough but this location needs to get it together! They only have 2 mobility carts for this huge store. Not nearly enough! I asked if they could possibly locate one for my very, very broken in pain a$$. One of the guys went outside quickly returned said there was none to be had either outside or in. 10mins later someone rolled in on one from the outside. Total BS. But I gave him the benefit of doubt and patiently waited. 45mins later I see two people rolling by. Nothing in their carts. Just perusing the store. I asked them to please let me know when they were checking out, they ignored me. Whatever people are rude. I asked the self check out and security people the same. "Please if an electric cart becomes available, page me, if you dont see me I'll stay close by." I dragged my myself along leaning on a push cart. Finally after a hour of waiting had passed I had to try a pick up the few things I came for. Of course I ended up with a few more things. Everything spread out in this huge store. It took me an hour. In horrible pain by this time. I went to check out and there were the two electric carts sitting there. I asked as least 6 different workers to please page me, but nope. Checking out at self check out there was a complication because I have an EBT card. 10 mins later... my entire basket had to be canceled, I was told it would have to be rescanned at another self check out. Unpack it, move it scan the entire thing again. Exhausted, out of patience and still unaware what the issue was. I decided I would only take 4 food items and the water filter I desperately needed. And yes I had to wait once again for the clerk to be available. Looking at my receipt, I noticed I didnt get my 5% discount for using my Target card. Too tired to go and stand in line at customer service after way too many hours in this store. So I'll have to return to this hellhole to try and sort it out on another day. And yes did ask the clerk to review the charges. But no nothing could be done there, my $10 off coupon denied as well. What a bunch of crap! I should have just bought off of Amazon. People wonder why Brick n Mortar stores are disappearing. Invest in at least two more mobility carts for christsake! read more

I love the company of Target! They are awesome and provide everything needed. The organization is great and easy to find what is needed. The overall place is trendy and continues to grow. The staff is helpful and friendly. The only complaint is the location. This place has constant homeless people lingering around. This is the main reason why I will not return to this location. I love and hate this place! Love that I find cute stuff but hate spending all my money here! Lol. When I don't feel like making a drive to a cheaper super store, I'll come to Target instead. For the most part, I can count on finding what I need here from groceries to clothing especially if it's last minute. There's always a sale going on, so I try to get a steal by using the coupons on the Target Cartwheel to maximize my savings. I usually download the app at the store so it helps that Target has free wifi (My reception is shotty). It is worth a note that they rotate the merch pretty often in the women's and kids so the sales racks are plenty. Most clearance items will be be at the end of the aisles except in the clothing departments. I do like shopping here just because I don't like rummaging through racks; I like to be able to walk into a store and know where my size is. I mostly buy my jeans and dresses from Target and clothes for my kids. This store is also cleaner and more organized compared to other Target stores. The fitting rooms are clean and spacious as well. Btw, I've never had any issues with returning/exchanging items with customer service. It's always an easy and fast process for me! Plus they close everyday at 11PM except Sunday which close at 10PM!! There's a cartwheel app that can help you save some money and you can use it with their mobile Target app! So that's two apps that you can use to save even more $$. Plus they have some of the friendliest and most helpful employees that greets you every time you pass them, You never hear a Walmart employee greet you after you pass the greeter from the entrance. Plus the Walmart employee looks like their really scared of their own customers like, 'Don't you dare ask me for help.' Really do I have Ebola that I didn't know about? Target has some of the cutest, trendy and stylish clothes, home items, kitchen ware and accessories. Plus when things are on clearance, it's so cheap! With Walmart there's always some kind of craziness that's so entertaining. But I can't help it, I love buying their clothes that are super cute, and their house items that are so stylish and trendy. Out of the countless times I have visited this store, I can't recall having one single bad experience. Not only is the store clean, organized and easy to navigate, the staff here have always been really great. I believe the staff is what primarily sets Target apart from their arch rival, we'll call them Wally World. As we all know, Wally World tends to hire mostly meth addicts, abortion survivors (bless their hearts) and otherwise partially brain dead neanderthals. When I say mostly, I mean mostly, not all. I'll make the trip occasionally, but I definitely prefer Target! One thing that everyone must try is their Archer Farms Blue Corn and Flax Seed tortilla chips. Serious. They are incredible by themselves but become orgasmic when met with salsa or guacamole. They come in a resealable bag, too! I recently bit the bullet and bought one of their best luxury bath towels after months of procrastination; it was about $13 and worth every penny, I mean this thing is deluxe. It's basically Target's "Hotel Collection" towel, and I now own one. Other essential items that I only get here include laundry detergent, collared t-shirts, loofahs and windshield washer fluid. October 8, 2015 I'm embarrassed to admit how often I'm in this store. We always seem to need something. The employees are helpful and friendly and I usually find what I need. So why 2 stars? I give this sad rating because the parking lot and front entrance is filthy. The were at least 50 cigarette butts within 20 feet of the door. 2 were actually in the breezeway next to 1/2 a banana between the double doors. The garbage is often overflowing and the parking lot is strewn with all sorts of garbage left by customers as well as the never ending parade sad faced panhandlers who smoke with one hand and hold up their "give me money" signs. To top it all off the employees park in all the closest spots before the store even opens. This store is just depressing and becoming an ugly spot in Land Park. The West Sacramento store is clean. I've started shopping there when I have the time. UPDATE December 7, 2015 I spoke to the store manager who declined to give me her name, about the ongoing overflow of garbage cans on each side of the front stores. To sum up our conversation, she told me that this Riverside Blvd Target Store, has a cleaning crew that comes in at 3:00 AM to empty the trash. I asked her if that meant the cans are emptied once a day even if they are full and overflowing? She said well they can be emptied at anytime. Well, obviously that doesn't happen often enough because the cans are still filled well beyond capacity on a regular basis. I have updated my review with photos I snapped with my phone Friday night December 4th. I went here late in the evening on October 30, and I must say...it was an excellent ghetto-themed haunted house. Scary people lurking in the parking lots. Pajama-clad customers yelling at the cashier and looking wildly around at the other people waiting in line. Large groups of angry-looking young men scowling and blocking the aisles... By day, it's a little run-down and unpleasant. By night, this is the Target that god forgot. The parking lot was full of garbage, and 10+ parking spots were blocked by discarded shopping carts. It just looks like nobody cares. I might come back if I were in the area and really needed something, but otherwise, I'll stick with the newer, cleaner Target up around 65th and Folsom. read more

I hate physically shopping and buy as much stuff from Amazon as I can. But, every once in a while I have to actually go into a store. When this happens, I usually head to Target on Broadway. Compared to other Target stores, I've found this location to be neater, always well stocked, and the employees polite and helpful. I've always been able to find everything I need and there are actually some decent deals in the food section. The produce sucks, but the clothing section is decent. The hours are easy to work around and there is always plenty of parking. I'll be back when I run out of TP. read more

Target, my secret shame. The Target on Riverside is a short drive (I should walk, because my wife just told me my stomach sticks out when I sit down...) from my house. Where else can you buy; a cactus, extra large condoms, a hotdog, a Chuck Norris DVD, fake diamonds, little shoes for your dog and a big clock with a majestic unicorn on the face? ....Huh WHERE?!!!...ANSWER ME! The restrooms are clean, a sign of good management. Returns are easy. The popcorn is usually fresh. They don't carry beer so I usually pound three just before walking in... Apparently this specific Target carries a good selection because my parents will drive all the way from Elk Grove to shop at OUR Target....it's NOT their Target . I believe that people should only shop at their Target ...I don't shop at their Target, so why should they be allowed to come to my Target....it's unethical and selfish. It's not my fault your Target is out of extra large condoms and hotdogs! I will talk to the manager of my Target and suggest that everyone carry an ID card proving that this is the Target they are allowed to shop at. The end. read more

While not being my favorite Target, it is also not my least favorite. It is what it is. I usually wait until I have a list of a few items before going to any given Target. This specific location always manages to be out of stock on at least half of my items. Rarely have I come here and found everything I needed. But, I love Target. Target owns at least 49% of my soul. I could wander the aisles for hours and still leave happy, even if they didn't have my face lotion, a mesh strainer and the shoes I wanted. Parking here is easy, as is getting back onto the main roads and what have you. This location has a Starbucks. Not that I ever buy Sbux at Target, but people like to know these things. Customer service isn't the friendliest here. Occasionally I'll get a smile out of the clerk, but not too often. It's not as bad as Walmart, but you do occasionally see the the audacious costumes and social detriment as well-- makes for good people watching while browsing. I enjoy their long isles of imported products and shopping there before any holiday is a must!!! I've been pleasantly surprised by their grocery section of the store too. Downside: don't go here in a budget because you'll end up seeing $50 worth of crap that you "must have". All the red makes me feel like I'm in communist China. I used to come to this Target at least twice a week when I worked downtown- it was my lunchtime sanity sanctuary. It has a great dollar section up front, a large selection of clothes and all the special designer capsule collections, nice layout, nice staff, etc. Plus you get all the cool downtown/midtown people roaming the aisles... the other day I found 2 drag queens in the jewelry and accessories section, and they weren't there together. With different groups of friends. I'm in Target heaven! Though admittedly, I'd never been to this Target location at night before. Since the age of eight when I was just discovering the amazingness that is of Target, every time I pass by it, I would stare at its red sign and go, "I love Target." It was like a display of my unending love for the store that obviously own my soul (and all my savings). If I run out of money to spend at Target, I'll slyly invite my sister to a drive to Target, only to spend all *her* money. And let me tell you, we always spend a lot of money at Target. Maybe it's the way they display their items (damn them and their good advertising designers), or their affordable prices, or their cheap Target brands -- whatever the heck it is, I always end up "needing" to buy something. "Oh, I totally need air fresheners," or "Oh, I definitely need more cookies," or "I need more knee socks" (even though I have 10 cans of Lysol at home already, 3 bags of cookies on my desk, and it's the middle of the summer). I'm addicted. I can't not buy. I can't go to Target and buy just one item. I have to look at the earrings, and the socks, and the cookies, and the shampoo. Everybody needs shampoo! And soap. And cheap $8 movies. :( I haven't been to Target in two weeks, and I'm already feeling the pull of its power. Target is like nicotine, only there isn't a patch to help me quit. Minnesotans know that Minnesota is the home of Target, so Minnesotans also know how a proper Target should be run. This falls flat. It is probably a combination of being a Target outside of Minnesota, not having the Minnesota nice mentality coming from the guards and the people working there, and being located on Broadway (not exactly the classiest part of Sacto). But I do love the idea of Target. This one gets the job done, but it could be so much nicer. The departments aren't organized as well as most Targets and the clothing and shoe departments have almost no rhyme or reason to them. The clothing racks are a mess. The clearance racks are a disaster. They aren't organized by size, nor by color, and not even by style. The racks consist of anything on clearance shoved onto the rack. At a typical Target I will come out spending around $100. I'm lucky if I find $20 worth of things here simply because I can't find anything. Workers are located all over the store in areas that are less frequented. Honestly, how many people decide they want to camp vs buy some clothing. They really need to relocate people to high traffic areas. Their customer service could also be improved. My mother lost her keys, so I had to go over to customer service and then they asked what the name on the keys was. They are my mother's keys, so I said her first name. No, I guess it was her last name. So they wanted to question me about it. I don't see anyone else coming to claim those keys. The security guards also seem to always question my mother about the validity of her dog being allowed to come into the store. Service dogs are allowed to accompany their owner anywhere in accordance with disability laws. What, her giving the dog commands, the dog wearing a work harness, and all of the "service dog", "do not pet" and ID tags didn't give them a hint that this isn't just a dog we decided to take for a walk into Target? read more

This place rocks!! I have spent the last 3 saturday nights here. It is so close to my house and my dog's food is always the same price!! I love it that they added the new store area, and as far as clearance? AWESOME!! I went there two saturday nights ago and saw a bunch of really cute clothes out of my price range. Went back the next week and saw 'em in the clearance section. SCORE!! This store is always clean and the employees are suprisingly friendly and not nearly as retarded as other Targets I have been to. This being the closest Target to our house and since I abhor going to Wally World anymore, I have become a regular here with a visit at least once a week or more. Pricing is similar in many ways to their "low price leader" competition and often times they will price match so then it comes down to who has the cleaner, less chaotic store. In that case, Target wins hands down. This store has an okay grocery area, not as big as I would love to see; but then I come here mostly for household stuff and things for my gidgets. The grocery section works in a pinch to grab something to make for dinner or grab some treats the kids need for the next day at school. All in all, not too terrible. Customer service is usually decent and staff may not always do cartwheels to help you but will do so with at least professionalism and a smile. read more

If you happen to be in this Target and have to pinch the loaf, pop a squat, squeeze potatoes, or drop the kids off. Are you following me? Basically, if you have to go number two, you can trust that this Target doesn't use cheap toilet paper. They use high quality toilet paper that won't rip your skin and make you bleed. They definitely don't use that sand paper like toilet paper most retail stores provide for their customers. I only docked them one star because a few of these things are out of their control. Overall, I love this location. Just a few tips for future patrons. If you don't like being harassed by petitioners, this may not be the place for you. I have no problem with the homeless populating the exits and asking for change. I am used to that being a midtown resident. However, a petitioner that asks you to sign something to support the downtown arena, then gives you a dirty look for saying 'no thank you' is just irritating. It is what it is. Also, one thing that they can control is the helpfulness of their staff. I see A LOT of workers, but when I ask where something is and they give me verbal instructions that take longer to explain than to walk there is a little frustrating. If they would take the time to walk me(the seemingly simple customer that can't find the candles) to the candle aisle...that would be awesome. read more
