I walked in needing to purchase toiletry bags and other grooming products. No one greets me and the area I go to that has the bags I'm looking for has a few merchandise reps pushing their truck talking amongst each other but they say nothing to me. There was even a man who happened to be tall, white short brown hair, stare me down as if I looked like someone. I has to ask the young lady that was in the bag section that had her airpod in one ear for help because she obviously wasn't trying to greet me or help me. Then another merchandiser who I assume was her friend said Hi to her but didn't greet me. Then it gets worse; As I walk up to the area that has all the personal care grooming products, they call AP on me because evidently wearing a white shirt, black jeans and being black is "SUSPICIOUS". I go up to check out and the same white male that was staring me down, stood at the cash register with the AP security while I checked out "Paying for all my items mind you" and after I was done they dispersed fleeing the scene. This target is THE epitome of "A-OK." Here's my scale: BAD: Walmart OK: Torrance Target GOOD: Galleria mall Target The only reason I really go here is because it's close to my house and I've been going here for years so I can navigate through the store quickly and efficiently. I'm always surprised by the amount of food they have here though. I end up getting food that I hadn't planned on getting, which is bad but good. This Target is better than Walmart because at least I can go through Target without cringing in disgust at every aisle. I've only been to Walmart twice, but those experiences definitely traumatized me. Walmart is the worst in terms of cleanliness, organization, and politics. I do not want to get into my rant about Walmart as a corporation, so I'll just leave it at that. They usually have all of my necessities in stock, but there were a lot of times that I had to go to the Galleria mall Target to find certain things, like my Neutrogena hair mask and a certain color of bedsheets. I know the Torrance target didn't have these in stock because I asked a worker, and they told me to go to the Galleria Target. Lol. Yesterday I went to go buy chew deterrent for my dog because she always chews on her bed. I couldn't find any, but I did find a cat scratch deterrent. Weird. I asked a really friendly worker if they had any dog chew deterrent, and she told me to go to PetSmart. She was really nice, and I don't want to blame the worker, but it's just funny that the employees direct you to go to other stores. This just shows that this Target doesn't have a lot of things in stock. OH, I forgot to mention. The parking lot is always soooo crowded. I would recommend to just park in the back and get yourself some exercise. It'll save you time and gas. read more

Ok.... what's going on in the ladies bathroom? Every single time I go in there it's disgusting! First of all, it's hot and there's no ventilation. Then the smell is horrific and finally the floors are always yucky! So I absolutely have to wait until I'm on the verge of having a bladder infection and force myself to run in there while holding my breath hoping I don't pass out before I'm done washing my hands! I always see the sign that if you have any complaints about the bathroom to please let them know but there would be no problems if someone attended to them once an hour! I would have given this Target a 5 star but I can't because this location has really gone downhill. They used to keep this one well stocked and now adays not at all! I hate that I can never find my makeup that I have usually bought there not in stock. I really hope they step up their game soon. I'm torn. Almost need to write 2 separate reviews... Target Pharmacy: Boo. Never had a problem here until it got taken over by CVS. Now EVERY refill is an ordeal. Never have my medicine in stock, they always want to call the doctor for clarification, etc. I used to be able to call for a refill at the end of my workday, and pick it up at the end of my commute. NO LONGER. Ever since the changeover I haven't had one trouble-free refill. I will be taking my prescriptions elsewhere. All the rest: 5 stars. Love this Target. And so happy they finally added Starbucks! Too bad I won't get to hang out there waiting for my prescriptions to be filled! read more

I went into target to find by a bunch of things for my friends for the holidays. I was looking for a present and when I asked an employee she was super rude and barely answered my question like I was annoying her when I didn't even even stop her for 1 second. In fact, she didn't even stop she was just ignorant. I'd much rather go somewhere like Walmart where the employees treat their customers nicely. Recommendation: try the foaming hair dye. The application is a lot smoother, more consistent, and less drying. Many options... John Freida, Garnier... etc. Produce section is conveniently located pretty close to the front of the store, better layout than some other Targets I've visited. read more

Due to their LAZINESS in online orders, not ONE, but TWO of my orders were misplaced. I called target customer service about an order I placed on Sept. 1. I received TWO extensions to pick up on Sept 15, when it was supposed to be ready by sept 5th. Customer service said my order of TWO car seats was shipped and arrived on Sept 5. But the inept employees here can't get their heads out of their butts to scan it in properly to notify the online order schedule. So i corporate customer service called and Torrance target said they had them. Corporate told me to call Torrance to arrange pickup. I called and after being dropped 6 times for being kept on hold, they said they had them..and would bring them to the front. Once I receive my notification, come and get them. But it was assured to be only about 20 min. Now...2 days later-no notifications AND my order was cancelled because they never had them at all-but people were too lazy to actually do the footwork. I ended up having to get the 2 car seats in colors I hated from Manhattan Beach Target(-after another bs circus with Redondo Beach Target). Moral of the story....if you want higher wages-do higher caliber work. read more

Fantastic store but had a bit of a hassle when using my chip-enabled ATM debit card at Target. They wont let me do cash back. I tried using my card three different times - same thing. Customer Service said they are still working out the kinks of the new card reader. So for the meantime I am steering clear of Target if I need the convenience of a cash back together with my purchase. read more

I had called this store because I had bought a Google chromecast about 6 days ago, I explained to them that I had lost the receipt for the item and that I paid cash for it, but the Item is not for what I wanted to use it for, and that I needed a fire stick, she had told me to bring it in with my I.D and that they would be able to exchange it for me as long as the item that I get is the same price or more and that I would just have to pay the difference, I was okay with that, but when I walked in I went to customer service and was greeted by a lady named Shanon, I explained to her that I wanted just to exchange the Item for the one I needed, She looked at me and said that she cannot do that with no receipt, but her demeanor was awful, looked at me like I was doing something illegal, I explained to her that I had called the store and the person I spoke to said it was okay, she looked at me like if I was lying and said let me call the manager, she contacted the manager over the radio, manager said that she would check who I spoke to, after standing there for a while, I asked if she can bring the manager so I can speak with her, she tried to contact the manager and they told her that she went on her lunch "Seriously " I was so frustrated that I decided to call the corporate office, while I was on the phone waiting for someone to pick up, a lady named Christina said that she would be able to help me, I explained the situation to her, and she explained to me that this happens all the time with people returning chromecast for fire sticks, I told her What does that have anything to do with me??? At that time a lady from the corporate office had picked up the phone I explained the situation all over again to her, after hearing what I had to say she wanted to talk with Christina, so I handed Christina the phone, Christina had explained to her about the chromecast situation as she told me, then she gave me back the phone just so the lady from corporate can deny my exchange I was so mad because they made me feel like a suspect over a measly 35$ item, I got in my car and called corporate again, this time I got a lady named Michelle, Michelle was totally opposite than the first lady I spoke to she really helped me out and made my day a lot easier. Corporate needs to hire more people like her, and less ignorant people like the first lady I spoke to, wish there was negative stars to review, but since I have to rate this store I gave it a one star that they don't even deserve, they have no problem when my family and I spend hundreds of dollars in their store, but come to exchange a 35 dollar item you are labeled as a suspect...Never going to that store again..Never had a problem like this in the Redondo Beach store... read more

Had a few problems with this store...ALL within a week! It all started when...(you know this is going to be a long story when a story starts with that opening) I placed an order for an action figure for my son to be picked up at this location. An employee told me the item should arrive the next day. I go back the next day and asked for the item. Turns out "someone forgot" to place the order (this is what an employee told me) so they asked me to come back again the next day. I informed them that I really wanted the item that day because at that time, there was a sale going on for the toy, that was ending that day. They assured me that if I come back the next day that they would still honor the sale since I placed the order while the sale was going on. The next day, I get there and the item was finally there! However, there were 2 problems: 1st The item was missing a part! 2nd they said they wouldn't honor the sale because no one had told them about it! They said, no one left a note whatsoever, so I didn't end up buying it. The same day, my wife printed out photos from the Kodak kiosk the receipt came out at $29.16 but when we went to pay at the cashier for the photos it came out at $38.72! I asked why it was so much more than the original price, the employee insisted that the $9.56 was TAX! tax?! Are you kidding me?! I contacted the Target hotline and eventually they gave me a $10 gift card for "my troubles" which was a nice gesture, I guess. read more

Just had to give a shout out to the ladies of customer service department at the returns desk at this store! I bought a vacuum at this store and my Dad and I both thought it was made incorrectly because it didn't fit together right. I returned it and bought a new one thinking it was just a fluke but wanted to check it before I left the store again. The woman at the front opened (after I purchased it) and put it together for me with a screwdriver! I felt so silly for not being able to figure that out on my own but I was so grateful for her help! Did not enjoy being double checked on my way out to make sure I wasn't a shop lifter. First they ask to see the receipt and then they asked me to lift the lid on the trash can I had purchased at the self checkout. I am not a thief and I definitely resent being treated like one. If you don't trust people to check out their own carts, add some more checkout staff and get rid of the self checkout. I won't be coming here again since there are many other places that treat their customers with respect. read more

I came in today to grab some essentials for my week. When I made it to self check out every single person's lights were flashing red and everyone needed help. When I went to pay my Apple Pay was declined. It said it couldn't connect to the server and to try a different method. As I stood there waiting another woman rammed her basket into mine and starts rolling her eyes at me and getting in my personal space. I asked her if there was an issue and she said I was a "fucking stupid uptight bitch". She said this right in front of the employee who was helping me. The employee ignored it and said it was my fault that the Apple Pay didn't work. She didn't finish helping me and again I had to stand there and wait. As I waited the woman continues to harass me. Finally the woman comes back and says "why didn't you press these buttons???" As if I'm stupid. I was waiting for her to come back because she was still logged into the employee screen where she needed to answer questions to get me back to a regular guest screen. She was extremely rude and I can't believe she watched someone call me a bitch and didn't do anything. I notified security about the woman on the way out and called a manger from my car because I was going to be late to my appointment. This was unacceptable. read more

I went here after seeing online that trucker hats, although limited in style/color, were readily available at this location. I asked 3 employees for direction, but only received exceptionally unattentive ignorance(how do you work at a department(ish) store and not know what a mesh trucker hat is.) I was shunned off towards the men's section without guidance. There I found 1 trucker hat. One. The best/worst/ appalling/(add adjective here) part of that was a hat on top of the pile was covered in what seemed to be puke. Covered...in....puke. The customer service was horrible. I was waiting in line to check out at the electronics department. I have to mention this is days before Christmas and the store was packed. The lines were very long and there were two sides to checkout on at the electronics department. On one side a guy was working and checking out customers and on the other side two girls were on their phones texting. I asked one of the girls if she was open and she rolled her eyes at me and said " I guess I am" with attitude. She then proceed to check out my item being very unfriendly.
