New personal hotpot spot with 9 different soup bases, including some harder to find Chinese flavors like: Rice vinegar broth, Yunnan sour broth, Pickled radish broth. Pork bone broth is bland, signature Sichuan broth is flavorful and quite spicy. It's clean inside, I feel assured seeing my bowl cooked in the open kitchen. However, there is a small limited selection of ingredients. Decent for solo meals, and at $15.99/lb with no tipping needed, so don't expect any service.

Glad to have a malatang place near work!! Tried the pork bone broth and was quite disappointed because it's not very milky and was pretty bland :( I'm willing to come back to try their sichuan soup The topping options are decent though! I like that they have beef belly, but I wish their lamb had more marble. Service is decent, cashiers did what they needed to do. I went on a weekday for dinner and it wasn't busy at all with plenty of seating. Considering how little people were there, I feel like the soup took a while to be prepared. I also wish they had larger soup spoons for us to use rather than a plastic to-go spoon.

It's a new new malatang place , same plaza as hiro ramen. We really enjoyed the concept, $15.99 a pound, grab a tray, add meat , veggies, anything u like, go to the counter, weigh, choose broth (I got pork bone), or dry stir fry, pay. Too ja out 10 minutes for the bowl to be ready. There is a sauce bar, that u can make ur own dipping sauce. Typical Chinese restaurant, will revisit for lunch

1.66 lbs of ingredients with a chili oil mala soup base.

Came in here just to check it out, since I saw the Soft Opening sign outside. Once they explained to me that it's a pick and choose personal hot pot with 1lb minimum of choosing ingredients, I went to town! I picked out beef belly, lamb, wood ear mushrooms, lotus root, instant noodles, oyster mushrooms, baby bok choy, and chili oil mala for the soup base. I took it on the go, since my fiancé was in the car with the sleeping toddler. The service of heating up my food with the broth was fast! Definitely a place to come and sit and enjoy your personal hot pot at your leisure! I definitely recommend this place for those who want a hot meal after ending a long day!

Tom yum broth with all my fixings, rice and dipping sauce

Second time trying a malatang place and really liked this one! Tried the tom yum broth and it was very flavorful and rich. I wouldn't say it's a traditional tom yum flavor, but still tasty nonetheless. I like that they offer beef belly as one of their meats along with a couple other options and a decent variety of veggies and noodles. Bonus points for the handmade meatballs they have!! Will definitely be back for those. There was a cilantro chicken meatball and a shrimp one that were both so good. Another must try is the "special" dipping sauce they had. Love that the bars were also being consistently checked on and replenished when needed. Nice and fast customer service. There are plenty of tables for small groups, duos or if you're just dining in alone. Currently $15.99/lb.

Everything looks clean and fresh. We tried thai tomyum and tomato soup, they were tasty.

This review is from my visit earlier last year. I'm just catching up on all my reviews now…read more We went when it was dinner time, and the place was packed. We waited for probably 15-20 minutes which wasn't too bad. The place is pretty big and fits a good amount of people. The food was great. Every single dish that we got was so good and packed with comfort and flavor. The veggies were well cooked, my favorite was the beef rolls. I would recommend checking this place out.

They have also opened a location in Cupertino that is more convenient for me. Adding Mian to this plaza definitely livened it up, it was so difficult finding parking and then there was an hour wait when we joined the waitlist. We wandered around Grocery Outlet and Savers to pass the time. I came with a group of 6 people. We ordered the sichuan spicy fries and fried chicken cutlet to share. The fries were the spiciest item I had that day, wow! I ordered the Sichuan chicken cold noodles, extra spicy. They were not spicy at all. I left everyone at the table try them and they all agreed it was not spicy. Kind of disappointing, I expected them to be spicier than the fries at least. My partner had the chengdu zajiang noodles, mild spicy. They were good, the signature dish of the restaurant. I would return, but their spice levels are very inconsistent.

Felt like it was some place in Hong Kong or China. *Food: good if not great for the most part. The chef seems to be very careful or forgetful with the usage of salt though. *corn soup: 2.5/5: sweet and bland. There was no salt at all. No amount of chilli powder, salt or soy sauce helped redeem this dish. *chicken chow mein- 4/5- favorite dish on the table for all of us. Chicken was soft and didn't have a funky smell or taste. Noodles felt fresh. Dish was greasy though. *fried rice-3.5/5- came with mushrooms, eggs and some other veggies. Very nondescript and safe, felt more like a side dish rather than main. *deep fried chicken in hot pepper sauce:3.5/5- I was expecting some fire in this dish but this was unfortunately on the sweeter side as well. The chicken had a very crispy coating per description. *black bean noodles-3.5/5 after loving the version in Paiks noodle, it was difficult for me to like the version here. It was decent though, noodles seemed fresh and had a good bounce. But the sauce felt too soy saucy to me.

I do wish they gave a spoon with the noodles, though. The toppings kept sliding off my chopsticks, but luckily the tangsuyuk came with a giant spoon that saved the day. The tangsuyuk was delicious--super hot, crispy, and not weighed down with thick batter or that mochi-like chew. Some pieces were more tender than others, so a few ended up being left behind, but overall it was solid. I also appreciated the portion sizes. It was enough to fill you up without leaving you stuffed. Service was great, and the place looked clean aside from a stained paper mat and a menu with a bit of kimchi on it. The only real issue was how hot it was inside. The food was amazing, but sweating through the meal definitely rushed the experience. Maybe it was just the slow hour I came in. I'll give it another try during peak time because their menu is huge and I want to explore more of it.

I would recommend installing or improving the air conditioning to make the restaurant more comfortable for customers. Other than that, everything was delicious. I'd love to come back with my family and try more dishes in the future.

You place your order through a QR code, which makes the process quick and easy. This visit, we ordered the salt and pepper chicken wings, Tidu Sliced Beef Pot, and Tianjin Eggplant. The wings are a must-order here. They're always perfectly fried and crispy on the outside while still staying juicy and tender inside. The Tidu Sliced Beef Pot reminded me of a dry hot pot. It had a great mala flavor with a subtle numbing sensation, and the peanuts added a nice crunch and texture to the dish. The Tianjin Eggplant was simple but delicious, with flavorful pork that paired really well with the soft eggplant. Overall, the food here is comforting and satisfying. It's a place I'll definitely keep coming back to.

We actually watched the World Cup final here and the atmosphere was awesome. The dim sum is traditional Hong Kong style, and the quality is definitely there. You definitely need to get the Black Gold Salty Egg Yolk Buns. They look cool with the black and gold style, and the molten salted egg yolk center is perfectly rich without being overly sweet. The Lychee Shrimp Balls are super unique too; they look exactly like real lychees on the outside but are stuffed with a snappy shrimp paste that isn't greasy at all. For the classic stuff, the Har Gaw and Siu Mai hit the spot--the skins hold up well without tearing and the pieces are nice and plump. The Baked BBQ Pork Buns are also great, with that crispy, sweet polo-style topping and a good amount of savory pork filling inside. Service can be a little slow on busy weekends since the place gets packed with families, but the staff keeps the kitchen moving as fast as they can. If you want high-quality Cantonese comfort food, excellent dim sum, and a great space to catch a game, this spot is definitely worth a visit.

Soup Dumplings, Shrimp Rice Roll, and Steamed Sparerib, all were good as usual. Half Peking Duck was a highlight, love the perfectly thin and crispy skin. Fried E-Fu Noodle with Lobster - the lobster is fresh and huge, great flavor without being overly salty nor greasy. Black Pepper Beef Fillet with Assorted Mushroom, I like the tender beef and the mushrooms were well seasoned. Sautéed Chinese Broccoli (kailan) with Dried Flounder Flake, the flavor was good, but the kailan stems were cut too large, difficult to eat. We finished with satisfying desserts, Black Gold Salty Egg Yolk Bun was excellent with the lava effect. Mango Pomelo Sago was awesome, and the Snow Lotus Seed Peach Resin was really good and not too sweet. Everyone was full and happy.
