I had to edit my content due to mod: This used to be the location for Hi Pot. First of all it's a fusion food as rice noodle is not typically associated with Big Plate Chicken from Xinjiang region (normal noodle is much more prevalent there as it's in the Northern region) but it really doesn't matter if you don't mind it not being 100% authentic. The chicken is not bad although I wouldn't call it any different from other places. I do like that they allow you to adjust the spiciness. They also added additional items such as imitation crab meat and other stuff. The unfortunate thing is that in the interest of being innovative they removed potatoes which is almost sacrilegious. The fish cake is also a mismatch of the flavor. The imitation crab meat is undercooked. I don't mind mifen but I still think the noodle would be more chewy and flavorful than mifen. Btw mifen is made from rice not wheat like noodles are. The naan is pretty dry and tasteless. I like they cleaned up the decor and it definitely is brighter and more welcoming than the restaurant there before. Overall I'd give it 3 stars for decent food but unfortunately it failed to be innovative on the taste side. Maybe they will get better. Service is good enough as you don't need any service since you order using QR code.

I noticed this new restaurant recently and decided to try this out with my mom. We have no experience with Xinjiang food so we were a little unsure about what to order. We ended up settling on the big plate chicken (medium spiciness) and soup noodles (mild). The portions are massive! Very flavorful with the perfect noodle chewiness. The big plate chicken also has some imitation crab and veggies, stir-fried in a delicious, savory sauce. I will add that that I died a little because of how spicy it was. I recommend getting mild/minimum spice if possible because I drank so much water during the meal. This is not for the faint of heart! My mom really enjoyed the dishes and commented that she would like to come back and try other dishes too. Parking can be difficult because the lot is small so be aware. Service was quick and efficient.

    手抓羊肉/lamb

Worst ever lamb I've ever had. They charged 29 dollars for this dish before tax, that is 37 after tax and tip. In the menu it showed a picture of lamb ribs, but what I got is 100% bad cuts of meat with tons of bones. Dry and even not quite warm, I suspect this is leftover meat from making lamb bone broth or something. I couldn't imagine any restaurant dare to serve meat of this low quality to the customer. Charging nearly 40 bucks for these bones? That is scam. I have had the same dish in several other northwestern Chinese style restaurants and all served ribs that is juicy and tender. Definitely will NEVER go again

Hidden gem alert!! This spot is tucked away in a plaza with a bunch of other Asian restaurants, and it's so worth finding. It opened a month ago and I heard their owner is the same as Kusan Bazaar in Mountain View. The "big plate" chicken is indeed very big; it comes with pita chips, noodles, imitation crab, and other toppings! The mild spice was actually pretty spicy, in a good way. The portion says 2-3 people but it was definitely enough for 4 girls. If you're extra hungry you could throw in a samosa or fried naan, but honestly the plate alone was super filling. I'm so so glad there's a solid uyghur option near me, and I'll definitely be back!

Great customer service and food was really good. I liked the beef noodles especially the sauce on it!! And I like the chicken noodles because the chicken was clearly marinated so it was very flavorful and tender! I think next time I'd get the beef noodles and I wish they had an option to add chicken to it as well. I got a medium spice and they should definitely change the name to hot, I'm so used to spicy so I loved it but not many people can handle that. The in door seating was very nice and clean. Also it's halal! Would definitely come back again

Delicious food, large bowl. Unique taste. I asked, it doesn't use soy sauce, which is a plus for those concerned. Food came very quickly, place was very clean and modern looking.

    Chicken noodle plate

Hands down the best halal noodle since I visited Shanghai. We ordered large plate of chicken noodles and beef noodles. Silky smooth rice noodles, flavorful spices, juicy chicken and marinated beef. Lotus noodles were crispy and novel. The service was prompt and he also warned us against getting medium(too spicy for our taste). Ambiance is clean and large photos to showing plate photos - we knew what to expect !

超级好吃 西北人认证 环境干净 好停车 Super delicious -- approved by a Northwestern Chinese foodie! The restaurant is clean, and parking is easy.

    Stir fried tomato beef noodle

This place has great tasting rice noodles. Both their stir fried and soup noodles are great. The Xinjiang stir fried noodles usually are thicker than what they serve, but even in Xinjiang there are many different styles for this dish, so can't say it's authentic or not. But as someone from Xinjiang, it does taste good to me. The only thing to be improved is the take out packaging for soup noodles. I wish the noodles are separate from the soup so it doesn't get soggy. And I wish they had non stir fried mixed noodles as an option.

    Big plate chicken

Very authentic! We ordered a big plate chicken if you can handle spicy,I highly recommend extra spicy for the kick.

Big Plate Chicken Fried Rice Noodles

It was a wonderful experience for me. I ordered a large plate of fried rice noodles with chicken and a family-style dish. The chicken was very flavorful and the noodles were super satisfying. The family-style dish was also good, with rice noodles, rice cakes, and naan. A bowl of multiple experiences. I'll try other flavors of fried rice noodles next time.

The restaurant leans hard into the floral theme with oversized arrangements, pastel decor, and even a flower market selling a mix of dried and silk flowers. It could feel gimmicky, but somehow it ends up being charming. The drinks are what initially caught my attention. Every table seemed to have something colorful and elaborate on it. More importantly, they weren't just pretty. The butterfly pea lemonade and strawberry matcha latte were genuinely delicious, not just Instagram bait masquerading as beverages. For food, the Chop Steak Skillet was the winner. Tender steak, vegetables, rice, and a sunny-side-up egg served sizzling hot. The pork cutlet was also excellent, crispy and satisfying with a rich sauce, cabbage salad, and potato salad on the side. Dessert is non-negotiable. Order the strawberry soufflé pancake. It arrives towering, fluffy, and impressively jiggly. The strawberry sauce adds just enough sweetness without overwhelming the pancake itself. Santa Clara has no shortage of brunch spots. GIWA stands out because it understands that dining should be fun. Good food, genuinely good drinks, and an atmosphere that doesn't take itself too seriously. I'll be back.

They were consistent as last time: excellent fried chicken, aromatic and creamy risotto, fresh tuna fish, and pizza crust on the soggy side, though delicious. The Italian styled one they used looked more like a sausage, but scantly served as if they were caviar. I wish they had removed the casing (or the fish egg sack). That did not diminish the intense flavor. The Tonkatsu pasta was standard bolognese one topped with Japanese styled sliced Tonkatsu. Both were tasty, but the combination did not enhance each other. It is, therefore, not a harmonic "fusion." I like this Japanese-Italian fusion style. Will come again.

But the food was worth it! Uni pasta: Very creamy almost like mentaiko, with seared uni and ikura sprinkled throughout. Pasta was cooked well and the uni wasn't too fishy, I liked this dish a lot. Mentaiko cream spaghetti: Tried a few bites and this was also good, although less creamy than the uni pasta surprisingly. Mentaiko mayo mochi cheese pizza: Mentaiko sauce with mochi pieces, cheese, and sausages for toppings. The mochi bits were super interesting and I liked this dish second best after uni pasta. Japanese mushroom melody pizza: Just tasted like straight mushrooms and the dough was soggy on this one. Would not order again. Also ordered at the table: Salmon Shimeji spaghetti and Sukiyaki pasta

My only minor gripe was the pacing as we had 3 dishes on our small square table at one point in the meal. I understand though, since they clearly had a busy night ahead as the restaurant filled up quickly after 7:30 PM. Ambience is kind of loud due to the chatter and closely spaced tables. On top of that, while we were still eating, they brought us the bill halfway through the meal. Even though we understand there is a 90-minute dining limit, the whole experience made us feel like they were trying to rush us out.
