This review is more for my hairstylist, Shelby Klaus more so than Vogue Salon itself. The salon is located on the corner of Nut Tree Road and Yellowstone Road. The parking lot is shared by a multi-story office building, so sometimes the parking lot can be pretty full, but you can generally find parking. The salon appears clean and there were multiple rooms rented out to stylists. We know mutual people and Shelby was recommended to me in the past if I needed a hairstylist. A while back, my teenage son got a bad haircut by a barber, so I scheduled him with Shelby. She totally saved his hair and cleaned it up to the best of her ability to the way he wanted his hair to look and made it much more presentable. My son was very happy with the outcome! I usually cut my own hair, but I decided to get a professional haircut for my 50th birthday a couple weeks ago, so I called Shelby for an appointment. Not knowing how my hair will respond to being cut, she was cautious. I didn't really have a particular style as I just keep it shaved/slight taper on the sides and back and the top long enough to comb it forward. She constantly checked to see how I liked it and if I needed it to go shorter. Other than length, I just put my trust in her hands and my hair turned out great! It was nice to have a professional haircut after maybe 10 years of cutting my own hair. I will definitely be back for a haircut in the future. She also offers spray tanning and I believe makeup as well. I have to say I do not like this place AT ALL!!!!! I called so many times and left messages to get a simple appt. I was referred to them by a friend of mine and they couldn't even pick up or return a call. WTF kind of service are you trying to get. Too bad... I tip very well. My friend and her friends no longer go there as well. =) I found an even better place... gave many referrels to my colleagues to this great place and they are making some really good business. 05/13/2011 I thought I would treat myself to a special day-worst facial, massage and the worst pedicure EVER!! water was cold, after she was done, she told me that was the first time she did a french pedicure-REALLY-couldn't tell (:( thank's to my daughter who took me to get them fixed the next day. I've been driving to Vacaville from Sacramento for 10 years to get my hair done at Vogue Salon. My stylist Danielle does an incredible job on my hair and takes everything I say into consideration when cutting and coloring my hair (and I can be very picky!). Since I live in Sacramento, I have tried to find a closer salon, but no one does a job as good as Danielle, it is worth the drive to get my hair done right! As far as Facebook and other social media, these are informal platforms, so I do not think "text" writing or incorrect grammar have anything to do with the Salon being professional or not. Now on a formal web page yes, but Facebook is suppose to be fun Social Media! Concerning pedicures and manicures, I have not had the opportunity to pamper myself with one as of yet, but look forward to getting one here soon! read more

I recently moved here from the Bay Area and was looking to find a new place to wax my eyebrows. I saw on Yelp that "Transformations by Meredith" got high ratings and wanted to try this place. I called last week but no one answered, so I went to the address listed, which shows it is at Vogue Salon and Spa. I went in towards the end of the day to make an appointment. I saw that Laci was there and busy with other clients, but made an appointment for an eyebrow wax with me. I asked her for confirmation if this was where Transformations by Meredith was, to which she affirmed. My appointment was today and I saw Laci. I want to be very clear that the ONLY reason I am providing two stars is because she seems like a nice girl and was accommodating me. Laci seemed very personable and nice, but it occurred to me afterward that she is from Vogue and NOT from Transformations by Meredith, yet she scheduled an appointment with me knowing I was interested in Transformations by Meredith. This seemed deceiving although I don't know if she intended that. I regretfully and sadly have to say that the actual service was just not up to par. She indicated that she "loves to wax" and took her time to do this- actually more time than I am used to- but it came out not quite right. I had hair still in my eyelid, my eyebrows were not shaped properly, and I had wax residue all over my eye lids. I just wanted to get out of there. I don't think she has enough experience doing this, and am not planning on returning. Ultimately I immediately went to Hello Nails & Spa to get my eyebrows waxed properly and have this situation fixed. All in all, eyebrow waxing should cost between $10-20, and for this whole fiasco and to get corrected cost me a total of $45! I will save my money and just go to Hello Nails & Spa moving forward. read more

Absolutely amazing! My first time here and I'll be returning. Everyone at Vogue is so sweet and welcoming, genuine and down to earth. Emma is my (new) stylist... and she's INCREDIBLE! I love my hair and how she styled it! She made the experience marvelous too; time flew by because we were having such a great time. I'm a few days post haircut and I still love it. I'm not the type to do much with my hair; I wash it in the shower and then just let it dry naturally. Been going to my particular since prior to being at Vogue. Seems there is a double standard though. She has told me if/when I need to cancel it must be at least 24 hours prior to the time otherwise she would charge me for her time. Reason being is so she can schedule another client. This is understandable but not everyone knows 24 hours in advance there will will be a family emergency or illness. If I''m even 2 minutes she'll call home phone then cell phone. Yet on the other hand she can be running behind and not a call ahead of time. She only takes 15 minutes if that much to cut my hair sometimes it's good while other times its not so good. Would love to change to another stylist but not sure where to go. read more

I haven't found a good hair salon for couple years now that could color or Cut my hair good. I went to Cheri there and she did a excellent job on my haircut! I highlighted my hair and normally it comes out good but this time I had some pink highlights so I asked Cheri to help me out please and fix my color. I was worried to get more pink but after Cheri was done with color and highlight my hair is GORGEOUS again!! Thanks again ! I am compelled to give an up to date review of this salon. I have been a customer for many many years now. ( 14? ) Before they were the "Vogue" salon. I have found Danielle to be a warm, family oriented, client friendly professional. I have had many dealings with her, although her sister is my hair stylist. On several occasions I have had to deal with Danielle, and she is completely unprofessional. As a business owner I would expect much more. Several times I have seen her interacting with the ladies who rent spots in her salon, and I cannot believe the way she speaks to them, especially when customers are in ear shot. I would definitely never call this place a spa either. There is not one thing spa like about it. The one appointment I had with Danielle was terrible, I told her from the beginning I had never had a spray tan, and she still never explained anything and I had to ask several times how to take care of my skin after. I did exactly what she told me, and the tan lasted 3 days, and the majority of it rubbed off on my sheets and towels. I had to move out of state for several years and when I came back I happily discovered she had opened Vogue Salon and Spa. I drive over an hour to get to her salon every month to get my hair done. I really like Vogue Salon and Spa, it has a very relaxing atmosphere and everyone there is very friendly, but most importantly is the girl that does my hair. Julie is great! She listened to me and gave me the exact color that I wanted! I have been to several hair dressers but they can never seem to get the color right. I have always wanted soft ash blonde highlights and it usually comes out either brassy or not blonde enough. But Julie did it perfect the first time! She cut my hair perfectly too.
