Inside of the restaurant, very clean

Really disappointed in our experience tonight. We ordered takeout, like we do very often, and when my husband brought it home we discovered one of the entrees was missing. Normally no big deal, mistakes happen. However, when we called the restaurant to let them know we paid for a meal we didn't receive, they told us we could come back to get it. Now we go out of our way to order from here for the gluten free options so driving 20 min there and 20 min back again when it was their mistake is frustrating. When I asked if they could just refund the missing order, they said no we would have to come get it. Terrible customer service and sadly our last time ordering from here.

    Mongolian Beef and Rice Noodle

Growing up on the East coast, this is the most comparable Chinese food in the area! The general Tsos is crispy and full of flavor. Service is quick and staff is knowledgeable and polite. My husband orders regular and I opt for Gluten Free. This Chinese food does not make you feel unwell or sluggish afterward. We tried the Mongolian beef this time as well as the rice noodles. Mongolian beef had a nice spice and the noodles were fresh. I would ask for a sauce on the side next time with the noodles as they come a little more plain. (From GF menu) Overall everything we have had here is great. The general Tsos with fried rice is our absolute favorite.

Taste of China is the only restaurant I have found that makes GF Chinese food in the east valley. They have a huge selection of GF items including the "usual" items like orange chicken and general tso's. Then, you can get GF fried rice and now GF noodles. The kitchen takes this soooo seriously too. Now that I've said this, the food is Delicious! Service is warm and inviting. And the portions will feed you between 4 to 6 portions. Quantity does not mean quality...but great service and delicious food sure does. Taste of china is a must!

Our order, mu shu beef + hot and sour soup, beef and broccoli (GF) + egg drop soup (GF)

This place checks all of the boxes. GREAT food, friendly service, good pricing, and great gluten free options. I ordered the Moo Shu Beef (large) and cup of the hot and sour soup. Both were incredible. I am able to get at least two, maybe three meals out of my dinner. My GF wife ordered the beef and broccoli and egg drop soup and really liked it. We ordered takeout, and the food came very well packaged with no worry of spilling or breaking. I can't wait to go back here and try something new! This is a family owned small business I can't recommend enough.

The food was delicious! As someone who is gluten free finding yummy food is always difficult. I am so happy we tried Taste of China. There was only one man waiting on people and he did a very good job, they are very gluten free conscious! We ordered the general tso's chicken and broccoli beef with steamed rice and fried rice. Unfortunately the fried rice is not gluten free. I am not sure if they had gluten free soy sauce as I did not ask but that would be nice if they did! Definitely check this place out!

Unfortunately, I was really disappointed :( To start, this restaurant is located in a large shopping center, so there is plenty of parking. We came as a party of 4 on a Saturday during lunch and were seated immediately. We sent our orders to the kitchen ourselves with a tablet, which is nice because you don't have to wait for the server each time you want to order more food. Unfortunately, when we received our first round of orders, more than half the dishes were cold, almost as if they've been sitting out for awhile. Even our egg drop soup wasn't warm, which was super disappointing. After we placed our second round of orders, I respectfully asked the server if they could make sure the food comes out warm this time since the first round was so cold. She was apologetic and agreed to let the kitchen know. Our second round was much better. The food was warm, but the first round of food made such a bad impression, I kinda already lost my appetite. Also, the server informed us that they charge an extra fee for any leftover food, even if it's just ONE dumpling. I found this rule to be pretty outrageous to charge an extra fee for just one uneaten dumpling. It's sad to say I will not be coming back here again. After seeing this place all over social media, I was so excited to try it. But unfortunately, I was disappointed. If you are thinking about trying this place, maybe don't do the AYCE option.

At first, it came across as a little rude, but I honestly think it was more of a language barrier than anything intentional. There were six of us, and we all ordered the family meal, which includes soup, a giant egg roll, fried shrimp, and your choice of entrée. The waitress kept asking if we were all sure we wanted the family meal, and we couldn't understand why she seemed so hesitant. Once the food arrived, it all made sense- the portions are HUGE. Each entrée easily could have been shared, so we definitely overordered. That said, leftovers are never a bad thing! The food came out incredibly fast, piping hot, fresh, and everything we tried was good. The only downside was that the entire experience felt rushed. We barely had time to enjoy our meal before plates were being cleared and the card reader was already at the table. Overall, if you're looking for a no-frills spot with generous portions, fast service, and really good Chinese food, Yao Fine Chinese Cuisine is definitely worth checking out. Just be prepared for a quick dining experience and don't make the same mistake we did- order the family meal with dishes to share, don't each get individual dishes as part of the family meal.

We waited about 20 minutes for our food and though we only ordered 2 dishes, it felt very heavy. Instead of their lunch specials, we ordered a couple of regular entrees. I thought General Tso Chicken was ok. I liked it wasn't very sweet and breading was minimal. You could actually taste big chunks of chicken. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy the Beef Lo Mein at all. I immediately smelled and tasted old oil which was very off putting and was very bland. I love vegetables and was disappointed with how little there was. Hubs even commented about the lack of vegetables. The portions are huge and we could only finish about a third. I planned to place my order online and did not see the garlic chicken, just garlic shrimp. I was super disappointed. My daughter told me to just order whatever and I knew she had never had moo shu chicken and this is a dish I love so I decided to go with that. Needless to say, this restaurants moo shu chicken was not like any other moo shu I have ever had. I mean the crepe and plum sauce was the same but the chicken and veggies were different and not in a good way. The flavor was mild and the plum sauce that was spread on the crepe saved this dish. What was disappointing was they gave us one small condiment cup of plum sauce and it wasn't even filled to the top. It was enough for two crepes and we had 6 crepes and chicken and veggies to fill all the crepes. If the plum sauce was what saved this dish imagine my disappointment in not having enough plum sauce for the remaining crepes. They definitely need to give a larger portion of plum sauce. I have turned my daughter on to egg drop soup and she loves it from our usual Chinese restaurant so she wanted to try it here. This egg drop had corn and tofu (we think, but not sure) in it. It was very bland. She had to add soy sauce to it to spruce up the flavor. We always order wonton chips for egg drop soup and did this time too. Their wonton chips were bland as well. Lastly, we ordered crab puffs and the same wonton shells were used for the crab puffs. Just another item that was bland. If I could get the garlic chicken I would try this place again but since I can't I don't foresee us ordering from here again. We will drive a few miles down the street to get our favorite place.
