Taste of China has excellent food - period. It's a quiet comfortable restaurant offering traditional Chinese/American dishes with a twist. Some of their dishes are by default gluten free, while others can be ordered specifically without gluten - and that part is wonderful !!!! My spouse is GF and has a huge selection to choose from :-). And ..... I would challenge a gluten addict to see if they can tell the difference between them. Taste of China does it all very very well !!! The owner of Sweet Impastries (in the same parking lot) told us about this place. They know how to do safe gluten free food. This is the first time I was able to have sweet n sour chicken since I went gluten free in 2012!! It was amazing. All of the food was amazing. Really disappointed in our experience tonight. We ordered takeout, like we do very often, and when my husband brought it home we discovered one of the entrees was missing. Normally no big deal, mistakes happen. However, when we called the restaurant to let them know we paid for a meal we didn't receive, they told us we could come back to get it. Now we go out of our way to order from here for the gluten free options so driving 20 min there and 20 min back again when it was their mistake is frustrating. A very delicious experience. On a Sunday at lunch we were able to be immediately seated. Our party of 8 enjoyed: chicken vegetable with steamed white rice, Kung poa beef, shrimp and lobster, sesame chicken, egg rolls and soup. Order the egg rolls for sure!!! Growing up on the East coast, this is the most comparable Chinese food in the area! The general Tsos is crispy and full of flavor. Service is quick and staff is knowledgeable and polite. My husband orders regular and I opt for Gluten Free. This Chinese food does not make you feel unwell or sluggish afterward. We tried the Mongolian beef this time as well as the rice noodles. Mongolian beef had a nice spice and the noodles were fresh. I would ask for a sauce on the side next time with the noodles as they come a little more plain. They have a huge selection of GF items including the "usual" items like orange chicken and general tso's. Then, you can get GF fried rice and now GF noodles. The kitchen takes this soooo seriously too. Now that I've said this, the food is Delicious! Service is warm and inviting. And the portions will feed you between 4 to 6 portions. This place checks all of the boxes. GREAT food, friendly service, good pricing, and great gluten free options. I ordered the Moo Shu Beef (large) and cup of the hot and sour soup. Both were incredible. I am able to get at least two, maybe three meals out of my dinner. My GF wife ordered the beef and broccoli and egg drop soup and really liked it. Threatened to have the cops called on us by owner! Couple months back we ordered Pork Potstickers, they were way undercooked. Not a big deal. We called simply to let them know and they apologized and gave us a credit for another meal at our next visit. The night before last we were in the area and remembered the credit, we called and asked if they would still honor it, they didn't want to look that far back so they honored it on faith. The following day got a call from the restaurant... "You stole that food", "you already used that credit", "are you going to come back to pay for it", "next time you do this I'll have the cops chase you down". Hung up on. Unbelievable. My favorite is the egg drop soup. They add shrimp and pork, which adds so much flavor! They also have an extensive amount of Gluten Free choices. The staff is VERY well versed on Gluten Free. The food was delicious! As someone who is gluten free finding yummy food is always difficult. I am so happy we tried Taste of China. There was only one man waiting on people and he did a very good job, they are very gluten free conscious! We ordered the general tso's chicken and broccoli beef with steamed rice and fried rice. Unfortunately the fried rice is not gluten free. I am not sure if they had gluten free soy sauce as I did not ask but that would be nice if they did! Definitely check this place out! read more

If you're craving cheap Chinese, this is it. We got suckered in with the Grubhub and Google reviews which had 4.7 and 4.5 stars respectively. We should have checked Yelp! Can't comment on service or ambiance since it was delivered. For the record, we weren't intentionally searching for cheap Chinese food. In fact, this was still a $45 order for the smaller servings. What a pleasant surprise to see a Chinese restaurant offering gluten free options! Went in to try out Taste Of China's food so I could taste some things for our gluten free friends before bringing them in or telling them about it. Got some lunch specials to sample several dishes that were gluten free and one that was a regular dish. I think I'd have to try their dishes side by side to tell off there's any difference between their gluten free and non gluten free dishes. It was nice to know that they were very conscious of making sure any items that had gluten didn't get packed with the gluten free items. They even made sure to mention that the fried rice, egg roll and fried wonton has gluten so they offered to put it on the side and or offered regular white rice instead. There is a small upcharge for the gluten free entrees but their lunch special items were still very reasonably priced and the portions were very generous so there were no complaints. We ordered gluten free cashew chicken (this has a lot of onions and bell peppers), gluten free broccoli beef and medium spicy Korean chicken (has a lot of onions). I think the consensus was cashew chicken for the win. The egg roll was quite large and pulled with a lot of goodies. They even provided lots of sweet sour sauce, mustard and soy sauce plus the usual fortune cookies. Everything was ordered to go and the leftovers heated up quite nicely for dinner later. The restaurant was nice and quiet but it was an odd time for lunch pickup so it was also empty. The booths were clean and the staff were friendly and greeted me immediately on entry. Will be back to try some other dishes then planning to bring our gluten free friends in as we're fairly certain they haven't been able to eat Chinese food in forever! We hope they like it. read more

I was SO DISAPPOINTED with my order last night! I ordered Vegetables with Rice noodles... apparently they make the assumption that I'm gluten intolerant because I ordered rice noodles, when in fact, I just like rice noodles better. One of my go to is Chow Fun and they don't have that on the menu. I guess my first clue that they thought I was gluten intolerance because they didn't give me the crispy wontons they usually give, and she said oh we thought you were gluten-free and I said no I would really like the crispy wonton so they got that plus some soy sauce Because again they thought I was gluten-free. When I got home, the rice noodles with vegetables was dry. There was absolutely no sauce on it. Nothing! It was horrible! My guess is because they thought I was gluten-free, maybe all their sauces have soy sauce and they don't have gluten-free soy sauce?! If you're gluten-free, apparently this is the place to go, I've seen lots of comments about how they cater to gluten-free. But they can't assume someone is gluten-free just because they order rice noodles. I'll be throwing out the rest of the order because I couldn't eat it . Just very, very disappointing. I'm also very confused why I got rice with the order , usually noodle dishes don't come with rice on the side. I have been going there for several yeas as I like to support local businesses. The quality has been going steadily downhill. We ordered Mongolian beef and General Tso chicken. the menu said it was spicy. it was not. We had the same problem before but thought it was maybe another cook. Nope. This time there was very little meat in both of the dishes. lots of onion, carrots and misc veggies. The beans appeared to be canned. Both entrees had no taste. The sauce on each entree was very thin and not seasoned enough. Before that we had food deli. The order was missing the rice, it was cold, and came much later than promised. They someone back with the rice but we had to reheat everything. The next time I went in there I complained. The man at the front desk said to come back and have a phone number. I gave him my phone number and he told me I would have to come back. He clearly saw I was not happy. He said he put an egg soup in there to make up for it. It didn't. The soup was not good but the dogs loved it. The prices have gone up and the quality has gone down. Sorry to say we will not be going back. read more

Authentic Orange Chicken, General Tso, Lemon Chicken, etc... you can get it here and it can all be made gluten free...and it still tastes LEGIT! Many restaurants will have a GF alternative to a dish and it will taste nothing like the original. Not here, you will get amazing food, at the same quality AND price. We ordered takeout from them tonight for the second time. We weren't a huge fan the first time, and this time was unfortunately no better. The food is just okay. There's not much flavor at all, we had to add a lot of soy sauce to make it worth eating. Tonight we had the chicken lo mein, which was just chicken and noodles and nothing else, and the beef broccoli with rice (I ordered it with fried rice but instead got two sides of rice, one white and one brown). The service was also lacking and took a while to pick up our order. We will not be back anytime soon. read more
