Fantastic food. I've been here a couple times now and will continue to frequent this restaurant. If you aren't familiar with polish food, try the "taste of Poland". It will give you a nice variety and honestly everything in it is delicious. The pierogis are (of course) wonderful, and the sausage, stuffed cabbage, and pork are all great. Can't go wrong with a potato pancake either. My most recent visit I also tried the goulash, which was a hit as well! For those that may not know, it's basically a beef stew, and it had a lot of flavor. The staff is always very friendly and accommodating, and it's a nice bonus that they have a mini polish grocery store inside. Looking forward to coming back here again soon. Highly recommend!!

We found one of the only Polish restaurants here in DFW! If you are looking for some delicious Polish/Eastern European dishes, Taste of Poland is a great place to try. The owners were really sweet, and you can tell they love to share their food and culture. We were so delighted by everything we ordered. We ordered the Taste of Poland, which was definitely enough food for the two of us! The restaurant is small, but definitely can accommodate parties of all sizes if they out a few tables together. The restaurant also has a cute little Polish deli and grocery store up in the storefront. After our meal, we bought some Polish tea, and cookies.

Our first time so we took the suggestion to get the Taste of Poland platter to share. We were told it would take about 40 minutes to prepare so we shared a bowl of red borscht. It was a combination of sweet and sour, not something I would order again. They served our food on paper plates and I sent back the "iced tea " which was a bottle of Lipton lemonade flavored tea. Overall, it felt like we were at a Polish family home eating a meal with people we didn't know. The kielbasa and mustard were delicious and we bought some from the store before we left. Would have preferred the pierogis to be pan fried, which they charge extra for.

We had a wonderful night!! Such a special treat to get a hand made meal. I always feel special when someone cooks for me. And this place absolutely hand cooks for you!! Taste of Poland has a small grocery aisle and a restaurant side that has about 8 tables. As it is a Sat we made a reservation and our table was reserved for us. The interior was charming with a panoramic view of Main Square from Cloth Hall at St Mary's Basilica in Krakov. Right in the mood!! Because they are hand making each order be prepared to wait. We enjoyed chatting and catching up and drinking czech beer. Then the food came. And ohmigosh it was every bite superb! We had schnitzel, cabbage roll, goulash (srsly the pickle in this was just perfect), and if course pierogi. Everything perfection. And our waitress was amazing. We were just blown away.

I was really looking forward to this place as I visited Poland and enjoyed the food. I'm giving it 3 stars, though the pork schnitzel gets five stars, the rest was mediocre at best. I was not impressed with the mashed potatoes, potato dumplings, or the shredded beets. The mashed potatoes and potato dumplings had very little flavor, the beets had no flavor other than beets. When I've had other European/Germanic style dishes, the beets were pickled or had some other flavor other than just beet. Maybe mashed potatoes and beets with no spices of any kind is a Polish thing, but it was not flavorful. So schnitzel five stars, the ambiance and the rest of the meal two stars. And no Polish beer or liquor? So total of three stars.

Always a great place. If you have not come you should soon. I think I saw that they are up for sale so who knows the future. Food was great, service was excellent!

Great polish food especially for the price. The combo meals have a lot of food and there is a nice small grocery store on site. The staff was very nice and informative on the menu.

My husband's quote sums it up perfectly! "The food was just so good." We came in on a Saturday for late lunch/early dinner. We ordered the Taste of Poland and a side of Sauerkraut Salad we left stuffed and still had food to bring home. I am sad we didn't save room for dessert. But next time for sure. I love the little market attached.

Worth the drive to Plano!!! (I'm in Southwest FTW.) I was told to go here by a Polish friend, and it did not disappoint! I've had Eastern European food before, but this place takes it to the next level. There was just a rich depth of flavor that I didn't know could even exist. The service is slow for dining in, so if that's an issue for you, I recommend ordering it before and getting it as take out. I will definitely go back!

Taste of Poland (closer look). Yum!

Thank the algorithm for suggesting this place. I was born in America, so was my dad, and his dad, but before that my "-Ski" elders immigrated from central Poland to Pennsylvania. I remember Nanny's cooking, and this is it! We rolled in 10 strong and ordered almost everything in the menu and passed plates around. Tried all the soups - Behold the Best Beet Borscht in NTX, the Pickle soup is great too, haluski bacon noodles delicious side, and the big Kijowski sausage sandwich was over a foot long. Ashley, Damien, & Tim didn't expect a heard of hungry pollocks, and they all bent over backwards to get everything together for us. Will be making this hour- plus drive again, still some things on the menu we missed. Oh, and I almost forgot the giant PEROGIS!! from traditional potato varieties with cheese, jalapeños, and other Texas twists, all the way to Italian meat and cabbage stuffed delights, every variant was delicious. we plowed through probably two dozen, ok so I did tap out and had to bring several home for second dinner. If you want a good food adventure, or have any Polish heritage and don't know the food of your ancestors, it is so worth the trip to Granny Dee's.

So I proceeded to order like 3-4 different plates (I was with my girlfriend again, but I knew what my mission was.... Pirogies- really good. We had the cabbage and mushroom; tater and cheese and Piccadillo (a little Tex mex version with ground beef, potato and jalepeno). Honestly, the picadillo was my favorite, all were good though. The sauerkraut and ribs were tasty, they take all of the fun out of it by taking the meat off the bones, but better for service. We had the sausage plate which was really good and finally the potato pancakes with apple sauce. Everything was great. Did not know it at the time, but Granny Dee was our sever!! Sweet woman, great service and we have followed similar paths in our movings over the years. The place over all is in an old building, very nice, clean and comfortable. I recommend the place for a little taste of home. May not be like my mom's, but better than me having to make it. I will be stopping again in my travels.

I'm actually very glad we came here instead of the other places we had planned on going for lunch. When we went, it was not crowded and we got seated quickly. This place is fairly big, with plenty of tables and space. They also have a dedicated "beer garden" on one side of the restaurant. For food, i had to get jager schnitzel with spaetzle. My wife ended up getting duck. Before my food came out, they also brought out a salad. I don't know if it was part of the jager schnitzel entree or the duck... But the salad was amazing. Everything was pickled and very intense flavor. Both entrees were great and i also like the fact that they have a kid's menu that serves german food. (I was afraid the kids menu would have simple items like burger and or chicken tenders, but that's not the case here.) the lunch portions were perfectly sized.... granted its not "texas sized" but it did its job and i left satisfied. What i really like about the place is the interior decor. It looks like the owners brought back so many trinkets, souvenirs and photos from their trips to Germany and it makes it feel more authentic. This was actually one of the saving grace from waiting to get our food, i tried to look around to see all the different things on displayed. Service was great. I'll definitely be back!

Taste of Europe - Arlington…read more This place is not the same as it was 20+ years ago. It's gone downhill. Overpriced. Small portions. Mediocre quality. Very misleading. OUTSIDE: You can tell that they don't take care of the building. The once beautiful mural on the side of the building is now faded and has not had any brushes of strokes to revive the once vibrant colors. The parking lot has seen better days. INTERIOR: Once you enter inside, on each side of the entrance is a beautiful Russian themed murals of old folk tale's characters. You'll also see Russian themed nesting dolls and a famous chef picture visited here in 2016, Guy Fieri. The dining room looks outdated, dingy and too much wasted open space. They could use more tables and chairs. When it first opened it looked so much better. I used to come here a lot as a child and it was so nice that you could enjoy authentic Russian cuisines. Afterwards, go look around at the Russian souvenirs you might want to buy. They also offered a large selection of Russian sweets and other Russian products you could take home. Unfortunately, as of January 2026, the grocery store closed. The large collection of authentic Russian souvenirs have long been discontinued to be sold here. Now, it's just a dingy and outdated space. I fully understand that the new owner is trying his best. But, as someone that used to come here a lot, I can tell you with full certainty, there is nothing Russian about this place anymore. In the main dining room, it would do them good to add some paintings. As of 2026, the walls are bare and the place looks like they are barely surviving. CUISINE: I came here with my family to check out this place and see if anything changed or stayed the same. Overpriced food with small portions. We ordered Olivie Salad and it was $5.99 for half a cup. The salad was great and reminded me of childhood. The presentation of the salad wasn't the best from what I remember. The original owner took pride in making every dish look creative. It came in a beautiful Russian crystal bowl. Now, they serve you plain white bowl and the presentation is mediocre. PELMENI: We also ordered Pelmeni, $17.99. As someone who is from Russia, Pelmeni has always been the epicenter of Russian traditional dish. It has a very distinct texture and flavors. You could either make it the right way, like your grandmother used to make. By hand, with love. Or, you could do it the modern way and just buy frozen. Dump it into boiling water until the dough surfaces to the top. Previous owner, used the old methods. Every Pelmeni was made by hand, in house. It wasn't frozen and the taste reminded you of your grandmother's cooking. Now, they buy frozen Pelmeni and go the easy route of boiling them for five to ten minutes. The taste was ok, but you could tell that they were not made in house. We asked our waitress and she confirmed that they're store bought, frozen. The presentation was mediocre at best. The bowl had too much water in it. The water and Pelmeni had blend flavor. Hardly any seasoning was on it. I dumped all the water from my Pelmeni bowl into another bowl. The only good thing about this dish was having a good portion of sour cream to go with it. SERVICE: The service was mediocre, too. Our waitress didn't seem like she wanted to be there and rushed us to order. Which is ironic, considering that only few guests were inside. She didn't come by and asked if we wanted any drink refills. After we finished eating, another man came over and asked if we wanted dessert and we declined. He brings us our check and says, "You pay upfront."Customer service can improve here and be more guest focused. OVERALL: After visiting this place and seeing the state that it's in, I think they are on survivor mode and may very well close their doors soon. They have to revamp this place. "Eye appeal is buy appeal." Repaint the outside. Dining room, add more lights and change the flooring. The floor tiles look like from an outdated restroom. At this time, after my visit, in good faith, I cannot recommend this place.

This restaurant has been on my radar for quite sometime since seeing it on social media!…read more We finally had a great opportunity to give it a try since my brother's girlfriend is Russian and also wanted to come here! We went to Russian Banya on Thanksgiving Day (2025). They were serving traditional American Thanksgiving dishes as well as their normal dinner menu. We decided to try their normal menu, family style. We had a feast! Borscht (5/5): It was a cool evening, and this dish really warmed me up! The dish was delicious, and very flavorful. We ordered 1 order and split it between the 4 of us. Pilaf (5/5): The beef and fried rice was really good. The beef was tender, and the rice was flavorful. Beef stroganoff (5/5): This was my second favorite dish after borscht. The beef and potatoes were doused in a hearty gravy. For dessert, we ordered the honey cake and the napoleon cake to share between the 4 of us. The cakes were very generously portioned, and were enough to share. I loved the honey cake! It was soft, not too sweet, and a delight! For my beverage, I had the glass of mixed berry mors. I loved it so much that I ordered a full container! I took the remainder home with me. We did not try their banya (bath/sauna), but maybe next time!! The people in the banya on the other side must have been ordering beer and food because we saw the staff running back and forth between the kitchen and the banya with drinks and food! The service was spectacular, an everyone was so friendly! The restaurant is a homey mom and pop stop. There were a handful of tables.
