I really want to support this place because there aren't that many Turkish restaurants in the area, but my second visit was kind of disappointing. The first time was great, both of us got the soujouk menemen which is a small egg and tomato scramble with sausage slices paired with a large bun on the side. It was simple yet filling and affordable. I also liked the ambiance which felt very clean and spacious, and the fact that they had self-serve tea free of charge. The next time we visited, we got the lahmacun and a kebab plate. The lahmacun was okay but not special. For the kebab, the menu made it seem like you could choose any 2 sides but actually they are predetermined and not a good value. The kebab was quite small especially compared to the price. It was just one kebab with rice and bread for over $20. They also charge $1/person if you ask for water (they give you bottled water). The service is friendly but not super attentive so we had to flag down the staff multiple times. Overall I'm hesitant to recommend this place due to the lackluster second experience and misleading menu, but maybe there are other items on the menu are a better deal. read more

My family and I recently visited this restaurant for breakfast and had the most delightful experience. We haven't had this much fun at a restaurant in a long time. The staff were amazing cheerful, kind, and they made us feel right at home. The entire was bright, clean and welcoming. We couldn't have been happier with our choice to stop in and have a bite. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by a young lady who sat us at a table and gave us menus. She explained that since we were dining in, we were free to enjoy the complimentary Turkish tea. I must admit, the tea was very hot, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Nothing is worse than hot tea that isn't served hot. She also answered our questions about the menu and took our orders. As we were sipping our tea and waiting for our food, she returned with a huge bowl of PIŞI (Turkish fried bread, yes, I had to look it up). She put one on each of our plates. I didn't know what to expect, but once I bit into the pillowy soft bread, I was in heaven. I looked at each member of my family, and they all had the same expression: pure heaven. The PIŞI went perfectly with the tea. We even asked for honey to go with it, and the server accommodated us. Our food arrived hot and fresh. My son ordered the Patso wrap, my other son ordered the lentil soup (as did I), and my husband ordered the Turkish-style manti. We also ordered two borek beef pastries to go. Everything we ordered was simply delicious. I loved the flavor of the dishes as they were not drowned in salt, so you can actually taste the spices. Everyone enjoyed their meals. My son even got an extra order of PIŞI. The server was kind enough to bring a few more, arranged on a plate with feta cheese for us to share. Later, a gentleman was making rounds with a huge pan of PIŞI, and my other son asked for more and the gentleman generously gave my son another piece, which was very kind. Checked this place again after Christmas, i tried their beef and egg omelette - very salty! The Gozleme spinach i ordered came in only as cheese. Not recommended. The Lamachun was great, the braised lamb shank was almost great but was dry inside, it otherwise looked incredible. The service here is where they need a lot of work. The waitress seemed to not want to help customers. Us and the table next to us were surprised how little service we received or info about how things worked having been our first time here. Fix the service, don't let the braised lamb dry out and this would be among the better in town. Note - Also had to ask for a spoon to serve the lamb and rice, and a pizza cutter was laid on top of our Lamachun to cut it ourselves - so the pizza cutter was covered in Lamachun topping and was oily to cut with. We also had to find our own napkins and the self serve tea was confusing as it needed mixed with hot water and nothing around to use to stir in sugar or sweetener (I used my fork) confusing not just to us but the table next to ours as well read more
