Much better meal this time. The white rice was cooked properly and the no spice ginger chicken dish had a good ginger taste, lots of vegetables and good white meat chicken.

First time here since they were located on the south side of Bell. Shared a sweet and sour chicken dish and a soup. Service was good, food was good and like the open ambience. All good here!

This was our first time dining in. A few weeks ago I'd ordered online but didn't do a review. But it's fine since the 2 things I'd ordered that time we actually ordered again. First, the Bacon Fried Rice! When I ordered online I replaced the carrots with bean sprouts and loved it. I left a little for my husband to try and that is why we had to go back. But here's my one issue - this time, I also requested swapping out the carrots and she wrote it down, but the kitchen didn't make the change. I ate around the carrots, and did mention in but was basically told that sometimes the kitchen just doesn't pay attention to the substitutions. We also ordered crab puffs. We've struggled to find good ones here in Phoenix. (They're crab rangoons on the East Coast.). These are decent, but maybe a little too sweet. A lot of places here don't have any sweet at all, which I really don't enjoy. I also ordered the Drunken Mussels (delish!) and husband got the orange chicken which he really enjoyed. We had plenty of leftovers for lunch the next day too! The decor inside is beautiful and service was very friendly and attentive. They do close for an hour between lunch and dinner service, but their hours are clearly noted. They're right around the corner from our house and I suspect we'll be ordering again soon even if it's just for more bacon fried rice!

I ordered my food to go not too long after they opened. Received a confirmation text saying it would be ready in 30 minutes. Luckily for me , it was ready in 15 minutes. I picked it up and it brought it home. I ordered spice level hot , one below Thai hot. Man was it spicy. That's my normal spice level. It was really good. A teeny bit spicier than I remember it but just as tasty. The yellow curry was delicious. I didn't get pics of the inside because I was in a hurry but it is also very cute and quaint. Definitely a vibe.

Yellow Curry with chicken (left), and Pad See Ew with pork (right)

Went there with hubby on Thursday night to see how similar it was to Krua Thai and it did not disappoint. The service was quick even though only one girl was greeting and seating people, taking orders, and cleaning up. We ordered our usual which is yellow curry and pad see ew. Both were delicious and just as they used to be under the previous ownership. We will be returning for sure :)

Recently, I called to place a pick-up order after searching for a particular dish I'd been craving. Taste of Thai offers a casual dining atmosphere that feels warm and inviting whether you're dining in or grabbing takeout. I ordered the Pot Stickers and Pad See Ew with chicken--both dishes exceeded my expectations. The Pot Stickers were flavorful, while the Pad See Ew featured sautéed flat rice noodles with just the right amount of medium heat. Every bite was delicious, and the portion sizes were generous. Their staff was very pleasant and helpful. Worth your visit. They pay attention to flavor.

Pretty brand new place and on Bell road so it was a last minute find. Being a huge Thai food fan, I decided to give it a try but not so happy with the quantity they offer for what I paid ($17) just for a Druken Noodles dish (picture attached). I don't normally judge based on one experience and may visit here again but still wanted to post my experience. The restaurant ambience is too good though, and the staff is also eager to help customers with their needs. Looking forward to my future visits and hoping to change from 3 stars to 5 stars rating for my review. :)

The service at this small, family owned restaurant is phenomenal. The manager/waitress could be in a five star establishment. Food was served quickly and was fantastic. We were asked our preferred level of spice for both dishes. I chose the Pad Thai with chicken while my spouse chose the Wanton Hot Pot (soup). All the vegetables were crisp and fresh and the chicken was tender. Definitely recommend

    Spicy Cashew Chicken... delish!

This is my new favorite spot for Thai food. You walk into a spotless dining room and right away, you get a friendly smile and greeting. I ordered Spicy Cashew Chicken for take out this time. The food couldn't taste more fresh and delicious. I ordered a 2 on the spice and that's exactly what I got. Plenty of chicken, and veggies that were fresh, not frozen, in this dish. This wasn't my first time here and it won't be my last. I highly recommend Taste of Thai.

Super yummy! 4/5 spice massaman curry. The lunch special soup and roll were soooo yummy.

There is a nice variety of sweet treats, and the service provided by the team inside the truck was stellar. One of our student organizations was hosting The Scookie Bar, and after walking around their event, you could score a ticket for a complimentary Scookie. As we pre-ordered so many as incentives for our students, I thought I'd give it a try. Unfortunately, something wasn't set up properly so we didn't have the cookies themselves, but we did have sundaes. We had six options to decide between. I went with The Standard consisting of vanilla ice cream, chocolate chips, and chocolate sauce, and on a normal day, there would have bene a chocolate chip cookie, too. The other five options included the Chocolate Lover, The Celebration, The Signature, Reese's Lover, and The VNA. While I enjoyed the sundae, I'm sure it would have been even better with the cookie included. The Scookie Bar is "where the scoop met the cookie" and serves freshly baked, warm deep-dish skillet cookies also known as scookies. They have a location at The Churchill in Downtown Phoenix, though I would assume I would more regularly see them when their food truck stops by ASU. Their Churchill location is closed on Monday but open Tuesday through Friday from 5-10 PM and Saturday and Sunday from Noon to 10 PM. If you want to order catering, it includes 2 hours of service and a 100 scookie minimum. They can provide a Build Your Own Menu where guests can choose the cookie, ice cream, and toppings, or they can choose from the Signature Scookie Menu which is what ASU did. They have been operating since 2016 in Phoenix. Now that I realize that I was missing the chocolate chip cookie, I need to try it again with that included! I definitely recommend this sweet treat to others.

Have a meal at The Sicilian Butcher and then follow that up with dessert at The Sicilian Baker. There are several locations in town, with this one being in North Phoenix. On my most recent visit, I stopped by on a Thursday. Parking tends to be busy in their complimentary lot, but you'll find a spot. Ambiance (4/5): The Sicilian Baker is connected to The Sicilian Butcher. It's a small bakery, with only a few seats. More of a grab-and-go type of spot or the source of your dessert if you're dining at the restaurant. While small, the decor and ambiance is nice. Service (3/5): A little bit of bad luck, but on my most recent visit, they were having trouble with their refrigeration so no gelato was available. While interacting with the staff, it was an average experience. I will say that the service was much better in the restaurant. Drinks (N/A): I only got dessert, but they do have coffee and a few other beverages available. Food (4/5): The Sicilian Baker is known for its cannolis, tiramisu, gelato, and lobster claws (dessert, not real lobster haha). On my most recent visit, I had a cannoli. They have your classic cannoli but also a nice variety of other fillings including pistachio, Reese's, and more. A+ for creativity, though I decided to stick with the classic. Solid. In fact, all of the desserts I've had here over the years have been quite good.

I can't speak on the customer service as we never left our table and our waited just walked over and got what we needed. We were pretty stuffed from our massive meal, but we decided on sharing a cup of gelato just to satisfy our sweet tooth. I peeked inside as our table was right at a little walkway from the restaurant to the bakery. Gelato is just one of many things they serve here. They also have all your typical Italian desserts. Cakes like tiramisu, pastries like Italian flag cookies, cookies like Italian wedding cookies, cannolis of different varieties, and of course gelato. What was suggested to us if we wanted gelato was the hazelnut flavor. I was expecting a little cup for the 6 of us just to get a taste, but what he brought over was a massive serving. I don't know how many scoops it was or even how much we even paid, but we all got plenty with some even left behind. Now this gelato was life changing. Probably the best I've had in the states. I know it's gotta be way better in Italy, but I'll take what I can when I can. Think of a Ferrero Rocher but in gelato form. It was delicious and I couldn't get enough of it. It wasn't overly sweet and it had a little crunch with bits of chocolate and hazelnuts. My sweet tooth was extremely satisfied after having dessert here. I have literally been thinking about that gelato since I left Phoenix. Luckily this company has locations in Texas so I will definitely be seeking out this gelato soon.

It's smooth, rich without being too heavy, and the flavor actually develops as you eat it instead of just being one-note sweet. You can tell they take this part seriously. Leave it outside the fridge for an hour and watch that cheesecake melt on your tongue crystals (if you have the patience for that) Their rotating monthly flavors keeps things interesting, and you're not just stuck with the same lineup every time. Out of what I tried, the banana pudding one was easily a standout--super nostalgic, creamy, and just done right without being overly sweet. The coconut one was also up there, more subtle but still really clean and flavorful. Love me some coconut! They also have a punch card system--buy 9 slices, get the 10th free--which is a nice touch. It lowkey turns into a mission because once you've tried one flavor, you kinda want to work your way through all of them anyway. Now...the downside. The customer service just isn't great. It's not aggressive or anything, just noticeably lacking. There's not much warmth or engagement--it feels pretty transactional. For a place that clearly puts effort into their product, you'd expect at least a baseline level of hospitality, and it's just not really there. So overall, if you're going to Banhams, go for the cheesecake. The rotating flavors keep it fresh, the quality is legit, and it's definitely worth trying. Just don't expect much from the service side, and you'll enjoy it a lot more.
