Had an excellent brunch with my love at Sala Thai this morning! They have just recently opened for brunch (with earlier hours) and a brunch menu, although their regular menu is available all day! I've been here for dinner and it was incredible, so I was excited to try two new items off this menu. Our server, Eric, was jovial and warm. He talked with us about the new items and made some recommendations which was so helpful because that guided me to my delicious crab omelette, it's made with real crab, comes on a bed of rice and a few cucumber slices with a tasty chili fish oil sauce in a ramekin that just made all of it come together so perfectly. It was so good I had to ask for more! I was almost ready to buy it to bring home with me... so so good! We'd enjoyed a few chicken skewers to start with that were delightful, came with a tasty peanut sauce and another, and we both enjoyed boba teas and water. The music was nice vibes, and it was an enhanced ambiance from my last visit, they painted and put in a few aesthetic touches that gave it a more romantic feel - my love and I decided we need to get back here for date night. Our brunch items were SO GOOD!!! Babe had the Kai Krata which was an egg skillet with sweet sausage and pork floss, served with a toasted baguette on the side. The mixture in the skillet was perfection and the lightly toasted baguette was the perfect thing to dip into it with. I LOVED my crab omelette - the crab was soft, flavorful and so perfect with the eggs and rice bed. The chili oil sauce though really made it extra special! Overall I'm so excited to come back to taste more on their menu for brunch, as I already really love their full menu. And they do serve it all day, so that is spectacular! read more

Went there to try the Thai Brunch menu at 10AM and it was great. We enjoyed the Crab Omelette, it was a little pricey as it has real crab meat. We also enjoyed the noodle dishes. Less Americanized version of the Phad Thai. Service was fast as well read more

Came over to try the brunch menu and overall I liked it! We made a reservation because there were a few of us. We came right at opening and it was not super crowded. My favorite eats were definitely the chicken congee and the fried fish with sala sauce. So flavorful and hits the spot. They had a special noodle for mother's fay that tasted good although I did not care much for the use of udon noodles. Overall we had a great brunch and would come back again especially for the fish. read more

I love Sala Thai, what a great place to eat-in or pick up Thai food that sings. Last night, I ordered Teriyaki Chicken with rice and it was wonderful. And there was enough for lunch today! Place is small and cozy. If you are a big group more than 4, I suggest call ahead for seating. Food was great and priced well for the amount you get. Some serving good for 2 depending on your appetite. I suggest order a few to share around. We ordered Tom Kha, papaya salad and spring rolls. Met my retired co-worker for lunch. I had the Pad Thai and it was the first time I was ever asked for the level of spice. I chose level 2 since I'm older now and can't handle food that are really spicy. Food was delicious but it took sometime to receive our order. We weren't placed in the main dining area. But on the left side of the reception area and by the kitchen. If I was with my wife, I wouldn't be happy. I just got back from a delightful dinner at Sala Thai. We were greeted with a warm welcome from the staff and new chef. Service was great and the food outstanding. I have enjoyed food at Sala Thai for years but this time it was better than ever. I was impressed with the presentation of the food which was artistic and inviting. The shrimp were cooked to perfection and the vegetables were flavorful and crisp. While it has always been a go to place for take out, with the new decor, wonderful food made by an enthusiastic chef and the ability to bring their own wine or beer makes it a perfect place to bring friends to enjoy the evening. Since our usual Thai place (Krua Thai) closed, we wanted to explore other Thai places that are nearby and we started and I think finished here! We ordered the Pad See-Ew with beef (you pay extra for beef) and we ordered Yellow Curry with chicken. It tasted as if we were eating at Krua Thai, but a little better because you get to dine in :) service was excellent and the food was ready very quickly. Their heat is on a scale of 1-5. We got 2 because I have a lower tolerance to heat while hubby added more dabs of the spicy chili sauce that was provided on the aide, and I could very much feel the heat at level 2. It was acceptable, but next time I will have to order level 1. We are both so happy we found our new Thai places! read more

I've been a regular at Sala Thai for a long time -- ordering weekly, like clockwork. I know the menu by heart. I know exactly what I want. And what I want -- what makes the entire meal -- is the chili paste. So imagine my frustration when, yet again, my order arrived without it. No chili paste. No heads-up. No note. Just food missing the one thing that actually gives it flavor. I called, hoping for a quick fix or at least some acknowledgment -- instead, I was told I'm making a big deal out of "just chili paste." Yes. I am making a big deal. Because if you've ever eaten their food without it, you know how flat and sad it becomes. This isn't a garnish -- it's the whole reason I order here in the first place. As a loyal, consistent customer, I expected better. I expected someone to care. Instead, I got indifference and attitude. If this is how Sala Thai treats regulars, I can only imagine how they handle new customers. I'm done making excuses for this place. There are too many good Thai spots in town to keep supporting one that can't even bother to send what makes their food worth eating. read more

Seating was different and cool, felt cozy and had a nice aesthetic. Food was great, best Thai food I've ever had. Drunken noodle and chicken pad Thai were a 10/10. The ambiance is casual with some beautiful cultural decorations. The service was fast and friendly. I originally ordered spicy eggplant with beef but the beef was too hard to chew. I had to send it back and requested to replace it with chicken. The chicken was much softer and more enjoyable to eat. The server was very accommodating and did make my order right so I appreciate that they fixed it. The flavor itself was pretty good. The medium spice wasn't too spicy at all. I wouldn't consider it Thai hot at all. They are very generous with their rice servings so that's a plus on my end. read more

Omg guy. It definitely recommended this place. I got 2 drunken noodle with beef and it was turn out so good. Also we did order chicken satay even 2 times order it (my 3yrs old love it plus my hubby). We also had the best papaya salad in town especially we in the north Phoenix side and of course my husband always order curry soup for himself. And the services is so fast and nice. We were looking for a place close to where we were staying that had good reviews and was easily accessible (including parking and traffic). This fit the bill. It's a fairly casual dining experience. They have an impressively extensive menu. We both got curry and I also got the coconut soup, which is one of my favorite comfort foods. The thing that happens often, and not just here, is they leave such giant pieces of ingredients in the soup - it's hard to eat. The flavor was fantastic, though. Spicy means spicy here so make sure you aim low rather than high. My friend was disappointed in the mango sticky rice which according to her had rice that was too hard (it was, as far as I could tell), as if just out of the fridge (I guess?). On the plus side, the portion of mango was extremely generous and tasty. Service was just fine. read more

Excellent food and excellent service! I was told about this place a few weeks back and it didn't disappoint. We had the cashew chicken, pad Thai with shrimp and the fried rice with chicken. All with a 3 on spice level. Food was fresh, hot and prepared quickly. Staff was friendly and made sure we were taken care of. I've driven by this place hundreds of times and never knew it was here. Springs rolls were mostly lettuce and the dipping sauce was good. Ma-sa-man curry way very flavorful and the medium heat was Perfect. I like that they use jasmine rice with their meals. When someone orders 2 hamburgers you don't put two burgers in between one bun. If I ordered two orders of French fries or two sodas I expect two of each. They tried to tell me that because I ordered 2 vegetable tempura that they just combined them in one box along with one big sauce. This is business and restaurant 101 and they failed miserably. Do not order to go unless you like the restaurant making decisions on what your order should look like then just offer you an "ooos so sorry too bad". Will never go here again just based on the puss poor customer service I just received and will advise everyone I know to avoid it until they either remediate their employees or stop trying to be so cheap. read more

We ordered Drunken Noodles and Spicy Fried Rice, but both dishes were mostly fried tofu -- more than half of each plate -- with very few mixed vegetables. Even the curry didn't have the variety of vegetables listed on the menu. The flavors were flat and didn't have the bold, balanced taste I expect from good Thai food. I usually enjoy Thai cuisine and can handle real spice, but this meal just didn't deliver. Unfortunately, I wouldn't return based on this experience. read more

Ordered red chicken curry , asked to have no bamboo . What I told i got when he handed it to me was "red curry chicken no bell pepper" when I got home and opened it , I was blown away it had barely any chicken and was loaded with bamboo and mostly vegtables.
