I have never heard of Tastea up until one of my recent visits to Phoenix & luckily I was in town for their soft opening. My friends and I straggled in less than an hour before closing time and one of the supervisors took our orders right away. He was very accommodating by answering the many questions we had and making recommendations to us. The team worked efficiently and had our drinks made pretty quickly. I ordered the Thai Tea with honey boba while my friends ordered the Bootea Shakers and Passion Attraction. The Thai Tea had more of a milky taste to it and instead of the typical black tapioca pearl, they serve a honey green boba which was sweet & easy to chew. The passion tea in the Passion Attraction had a mild passion tea flavoring and was refreshing. The Bootea Shaker won our hearts though- I can see why this is a popular item. The space itself had a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere, plus they had good music playing. It is a well customized space for Arizona's first ever location. And even less than an hour before closing, every table was occupied and they still had customers coming in and out. Next time I want to try more of their specialty drinks and bites! read more

If you are a boba addict but also a health freak, I recommend trying Wintermelon Green Milk Tea with sweetened with Stevia sub with almond milk. This is one of my favorite drinks at Tastea and I believe with the substitutions it tastes the same as the original. The service here is always nice as well! The food and beverage is good. The app is horrible. The point of order online is to save time and pick up the order once I arrive at the store. Unless i'm the first customer of the day, I always have to wait for my orders when I arrive. After placing the order (1 jug of tea) for 15 mins, i arrived and was informed i had to wait another 15-20 mins. I ended up cancelling the order. read more

I have no idea how good their products are because at 3:30 Plus in the afternoon they're trying to run the place with one employee who doesn't even have time to let me into the bathroom which is locked for absolutely no reason whatsoever. I love the Tastea in California, so when I heard there was going to be one here in Arizona I was so excited! The inside is spacious with a good amount of seats and the drinks are made really fast even when they're busy. The taste is always fresh and consistent. The staff is also fun and friendly. I always go to Tastea whenever I am in Socal, so I'm glad we finally have one in the valley. The green boba is definitely what distinguishes them from other boba shops. The staff was friendly and helpful in recommending drinks and are willing to remake anything that is not satisfactory. Best part is they have an app that can rack up points with every purchase which can be redeemed for free drinks. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Last night I ordered a slushy with crystal boba. Drink came out with no boba. I made sure my receipt showed I was charged for boba before asking them for it. Chelsea (something along those line) gave me an attitude. She angrily poured out the drink and put crystal boba on top of the cup. It was hard to get the boba to the bottom of a slushy drink. I asked her to remake my drink. She ROLLED HER EYES at me, grabbed the cup, threw it in the trash and didn't even apologize. If you don't have patience, don't work in customer service!! I normally order from here a lot in store or online delivery. And I always order app my drinks with stevia due to me being diabetic. My order today was not made correctly due to me checking my sugars and my sugars spiking into the 300s. I called the store and asked to speak to the manager and all he said was that mistakes happen and that he will talk to them about checking orders and they never make mistakes in their store. I understand mistakes are made but for you to sit their and question if I'm telling the truth and put my health at risk is not okay. Its hard to find good, soft boba in Arizona and their honey boba is the softest! I like the options to choose between 50% or 25% sweetness and the amount of ice in each drink. We come here on a weekly basis and some of our favorites are the Specialteas, Smoothies, and Snacks! While we have our go-to drinks and snacks, Tastea is always coming out with new things to try! One of our recent favorites has become the churro bites. They're perfectly crispy on the outside while nice and fluffy on the inside. We also like that you can customize your drink to your desired taste; from the sweetness level, to amount of ice, even the option to change the type of tea that is used. Would not come back. Bad customer service. My friend had recommended this place because she saw that it was new. So me, her and my boyfriend went to try it out. We walked inside and instantly got STARED at by all the employees and even the other customers! No greeting or even a smile. After giving us looks, the employees went back to working and the other customers kept staring at us. VERY RUDE AND UNCOMFORTABLE! Wtf! We looked at the menu for a little to decide what we wanted. 3 other girls came in at that point, the employees actually smiled at them and greeted them. Uh, why did we get only nasty glares from them then? We finally ordered, waited for our drinks and left. I got the strawberry bananza, don't remember what my friend and boyfriend got but all drinks tasted almost the exact same! A little different from each other but still, almost all the same and the same look as well. They did taste good however but would NOT come back after the weird experience and getting the same drink. Also out of the way for me, would rather go to Zero Degrees or any other boba shop closer, they at least have more variety and good customer service.
