Oxtail Jerk Chicken and Shrimp Meal
    DLynn Q.

Omg no wonder why they call this place tastebudz!!! Absolutely love the flavors and that Mac and cheese is now my all time favorite. The oxtail and shrimp combo is sooooo good.

I should have come here after I saw the Keith Lee review. Got the oxtail, white rice, Mac and greens. The oxtails were lightly seasoned and tough. Greens had no vinegar taste and seemed like they cooked for 1 hour. The Mac tasted like it had velvetta cheese. I paid 10$ to have shrimp and they were the best thing. I wouldn't go back at all

Usually I don't say a thing but they gave me half a chicken breast. For a $30 meal Jerk meal. I'm super disappointed as this is nothing like the first time I ordered. Even the rice was skimped on. I waited 55 mins for it. The food was good but not good enough to pay to get skimped on.

Came across this place on IG and my bf was adamant we try it out. When we arrived there was a pretty long line almost to the door. Took us a while to order and we ended up waiting 30+ min for our order but it was worth it. We decided to share the salmon w/ rice and for sides we got Mac and Cheese, sweet yams, and corn bread. The sides were fireeee and that cornbread was so moist and buttery. The salmon was a bit of a let down because it was dry so def wish we had a sauce to go over it. Mac and cheese and yams were chefs kiss. Loved the r&b music playing inside too. Would want to come back and try other proteins on the menu, we had dinner plans so didn't want to over eat for lunch.

The food here is really good. Probably the best Mac and cheese in Vegas. Not the best ever. But the best in Vegas. The food is not as good as Kieth Lee said it was. But it is very good. Service is good. The interior is pretty run down but nothing too bad. They have Jerk and Cajun...I'd recommend you get Jerk because Cajun is basically just food doused in Cajun seasoning. I would recommend this place for anyone visiting Vegas. Very good food. Not amazing.... Not bad... very good.

It's a nice restaurant and they were so accommodating and hour before closing. The food was a hit with my family the shrimp was good, the alfredo tasted good but the ox tail and mac and cheese cleared every other item.

I'm so disappointed I was excited to take my Mom to Taste Budz Creole today only to be disappointed because the young lady upfront talked us into getting the oxtails with a side of jerk catfish. I explained to her I have been here twice before and oxtails were not worth the money because there was no meat on the bones She explained to me that there was more meat today, so I ordered my mom the oxtail with two sides, greens and mac & cheese with a side of blackened catfish this total to $65 very expensive but don't mind paying the price when it's good but when it's not good, it's not a very good feeling when I brought up to the young man, the owner's son my concerns about our food and he was so nonchalant about the greens being too salty the food, not being the quality that we expected. I also explain that my mom sorority had them listed as a place to attend while here in Vegas for their 102nd conclave This was not a good look he was completely unconcerned about what I said, never apologize about the greens being too salty never apologize for the oxtails just being bones scorched. I am so disappointed that we spent this type of money for such poor service. I would never said the third time is a charm, but I would never Invite or bring anyone else to this location. I don't care how many times I see others brag about it on Instagram. It's not true three times ,I have been here and brought family and friends and have been disappointed. Won't keep doing that; actually I purchased two tamales from Patty's Tamales located next door that we totally enjoyed for $9.67....I have receipts for all my visits.

    Oxtail Alfredo Pasta after refrigeration
    Eravia E.

I ordered from this establishment on DoorDash. I ordered the Oxtail Alfredo. The price point was extremely high for the quality of the food. Its was 42$, with taxes and fees this is almost a 60$ meal. The food was salty, the pasta noodles were extremely big and too soft. They gave me 2 huge oxtails. Normally that would be ok, but on the contrary they were not cooked long enough so I literally had to fight to get the meat off the oxtail, and extremely tough to chew. I ended up giving up and didn't eat it. Total waste of money. I probably would not try this again.

Jerk salmon, rice, yams, Mac and cheese

We went to tastebudz kitchen mid day around 2:00 pm, & when we walked in it was kind empty but shortly after the place started to fill up. The service was fast, attentive & friendly. You walk up to the counter and order your food, & then go find a table and wait for it. Our food took about 25 minutes from order to table. We got a little of everything, salmon plate with Mac n cheese & yams & white butter rice. - 10/10 seriously no complaints, everything was so seasoned and flavorful. The Mac was cheesy & creamy and cooked perfectly & the yams were sweet and you can taste the brown sugar and butter sauce mmhm so good!! The salmon was literally cooked perfectly it was tender, flaky, and melt in your mouth. If you're from the south and know about good food this is the closest you will find it in Las Vegas. The Cajun elotes - i thought they were going to be like off the Cobb but they were 4 really big corn on the cobs in a buttery, garlicy sauce with mayo and some kinda chile, bomb! Someone else with me tried the oxtails with gravy and they loved it and said it was so tender & fall off the bone. The cornbread was so sweet and yummy it tasted like cake. The portions are also super huge, two people can share with more them enough food. Would go back definitely, 10/10

This place is 10/10... the portions match the price. We couldnt even finish half of what we got. The was amaaaaaazing. Each dish had it own flavor. Now I understand what all the hype was about. It for sure lived up to the hype. The employees there was hella cool and help us with anything we needed. When you go, ask for the "everything sauce" . That sauce made it even better. I was like "". Follow my foodie IG - @jwardhooper22. This place is well worth it.

Oxtail, Chef Trish Famous Mac and Cheese and yams.

The food was okay, definitely love to support black business yet this one location I will not be returning. The service was horrible! The young lady was very rude, not to mention she never informed me via text my food was ready. Maybe I went to the wrong location but I will not be returning. Not a fan of the oxtails.

The matcha parfait was good with a nice creamy texture and flavoring. However, I have one complaint. When coming with two others where we are lactose sensitive and with one having an allergy to oats, they wanted to try the matcha latte's and we asked if they can make with almond milk . The female worker said they don't have almond milk and only do oat or whole milk which was odd, and I asked again to confirm and was told no. They ended up having to do whole milk despite being lactose intolerant and was bothered. I look through here from comments by the owner saying that they CAN substitute with almond milk, which is confusing and a little annoying that we were told they don't substitute almond milk and was never told a reason why. That's one complaint for those who might be allergic to oat milk or are lactose sensitive: There is barely any option to accommodate and for that I give three stars. I probably would not come back again nor recommend because of the lack of accommodation for those who cannot have oat/almond milk. However despite that it is good to try once.

Some other spots in town have similar offerings and may be doing a better job at it. I ordered the J2. Jumbo Pomelo & Mango with Sago ($13.95) to share in our group. There was a wide variety of ingredients, generally tasting quite good. The actual mango fruit was soft and super sweet, there was perhaps a coconut jelly topping that was also nice, as well as a coconut ice that felt snowy in texture, a mango custard, and a decent helping of sago near the bottom. However, I wish that the mango ice cream wasn't so hard and icy, and I was disappointed later to realize that we didn't get any pomelo at all. I really enjoyed the pomelo the last time I had a similar dessert. The dining area did seem pretty clean at least, and they offered complimentary cups of water for each of us after I requested it. Napkins are cheap but freely available, and spoons are pretty sturdy despite being disposable plastic. Maybe I'll come back to this Hui Lau Shan location if I'm around Spring Mountain and find myself really craving their brand of desserts. But I'd prioritize different businesses if I were planning a trip.

Reviews of this Korean coffee shop were impressive enough for us to give it a try. This "hidden" coffee shop had "speakeasy" vibes as it was a bit hard to find. Online photos led us to a massive, unmarked medieval-style wooden door with an "open" banner. Definitely don't judge a book by its cover as the interior featured antique furniture, a glass atrium, soaring trees, and a 3-level wooden bookshelf-reading area designed like a grandstand with seating you could climb on. I suggest staying here awhile and enjoy the F&D inside as it is definitely social media worthy and a gem in LV's Chinatown. After saving our spot, the gang proceeded to order from the long queue at the bar area. Took photos and marveled at this cozy cafe while waiting for our assortment of coffees and baked goodies to arrive. I had The Gäbi (dry cappuccino topped with raw sugar and espresso grounds) while my wife opted for the velvety Einspänner. We shared a Berry Ricotta Brioche. I was able to taste the other artisan pastries (Ube Mille Cake, Tiramisu Croissant and Strawberry Shortcake to name some) from our group and they were as good as they looked. The only complaint is the pricier bill than what other coffee shops might charge. I guess this view is at a cost then. First time trying in a Korean coffee shop and we loved it! We would definitely return if we're in this neck-of-the-woods again.

We specifically wanted to stay off the Strip because Vegas prices on the Strip can be pretty wild, so we found this place through Yelp. The space is really cute and has a cool industrial feel, with books and other little touches that make it more interesting than your typical dessert spot. They even had a couch swing, which turned out to be a lifesaver when my toddler was getting a little cranky. The desserts were good, but I have to say the prices felt pretty steep for the portions -- around $12-$13 for a very small slice. We tried an ube dessert and a matcha dessert. The matcha one was definitely my favorite. It had this interesting French-style flavor/profile and felt more unique. The ube one was just okay for me. And as a Filipino, I have to be honest: putting ube in something doesn't automatically make it amazing. I feel like sometimes ube gets treated as the magic ingredient when it's really about how well it's actually executed. Overall, I'd give it 4 stars. It's a cute place, the atmosphere is fun, and it served exactly what we needed that day -- a casual little birthday-weekend dessert stop somewhere away from the Strip. I'm glad we found it, but given the prices and portion sizes, I'm not sure it would be a regular stop for us.

However, I do want to clarify one very important point regarding my service dog. He was calm, quiet, and completely under control throughout the entire visit. He was not active, disruptive, or vocal at any time. He is a trained service dog, not a pet. I also want to clarify that under the ADA, a person with a service dog cannot be required to sit outside simply because they are accompanied by a service animal. Service dogs are generally permitted to accompany their handlers in areas where customers are normally allowed. A service animal may only be excluded in limited circumstances, such as when the animal is out of control and the handler does not take effective action, or when the animal is not housebroken. Neither of those circumstances applied here. So while I understand your policy regarding active or vocal dogs, that does not describe my dog or what happened during my visit. He was calm and caused no disturbance whatsoever. I sincerely hope your staff can be better informed about the distinction between pets and service animals so that another customer with a legitimate service dog is not made to feel unwelcome or told they MUST sit outside.
