went to shop earlier today for sandwich to be eaten during road trip. Manager had zero customer service skills, should have left right there but didn't '. Later unwrap the sandwich and what a disappointment. Very skimpy sandwich on flattened stale sub roll. It was so bad I put sandwich in garbage. Worst sub ever! I'll go to Edison subs from now on.

Grew up on tastee sub and when I think of a good sub, this is the only place that comes to mind. Nice quaint little spot with good service.

I've been going here for years they are a no frills sandwich shop. If you're looking for flashy social media sandwiches for likes you're not going to find it here. They make simple but good sandwiches The bread is fresh and so is the cold cuts. It's very good in the taste department I usually get a turkey and cheese with oil and vinegar which is a number seven on their menu. The store itself is small with limited seating. You line up place your order move along the line pay and either sit and eat or take it to go which most people do. It's a great spot for sandwich if you're in the area

    5. Whole Super Sub

It's been more than a year since I've been back and I have missed the place. Planned a day trip to Princeton and ended it by grabbing a couple #5's (Super Sub) to bring home. It was well worth the total 1.5 hours of driving because the super sub was just as good as I remember it. From the bread to the meat and veggies, I don't know how they do it but it's just that good. Shared it with a couple of other people who ended up loving this hoagie (sub). Yeah, I would make the drive again sometime in the near future. Oh, and I bought their shirt just because I love it that much lol

A solid spot for subs. A grab and go spot with very limited indoor seating. My go to order is their #5 Super Sub which comes with Pressed Ham, Salami, Boiled Ham, Proscuittini, and Cappacola Cheese with everything, which includes lettuce, onion, tomato, vinegar, oil, salt and oregano. You also have the option of adding, mayo, deli mustard, Russian dressing, honey mustard, and hot peppers. The sizes of their half and whole subs are quite big, and the prices are also very reasonable. Service here is also always fast and friendly. + 5% cash discount

Ham and salami sub with side of potato salad

Ordered via doordash when we were craving a simple sub sandwich for dinner. Spotted this place on our app and ordered a ham and salami sub to split between my husband and myself. We each got a side of potato salad for $1 each and a pickle. The sides were small, maybe a scoop or two but a nice compliment to the sub which was easily 18". We split it into 4ths and had 2 meals each out of it. Bread was super soft and we had it topped with provolone cheese, mayo, lettuce and tomato, the usual toppings. The price was cheaper than other places we ate over the weekend and we def got a ton of food for what we paid. Wish we had a place like this closer in PA!

From the moment I walked into the establishment i I was skeptical, being a NYC Native all I k de was Subways, Wawa, & Jerseys Mikes. My good friend LaPorsha.H a NJ Native told me that we HAD to go get a TASTEE SUB SHOP & that I'd be in for a treat! She ain't LIE! The meat was fresh and I got the most bang for my buck! The staff were quick, friendly & efficient. I was very indecisive. Soooooooooooooo many options! :-P

Tastee it is! Obama's visit years ago may have put them on the map but Tastee Subs has so much going for them. I get that the meats may not be the best quality but let's get real, I'm not sure what I'd expect from a $7 half sub that could be a full meal. In 2023, I'm not sure there are many sandwiches as filling as this. The veggies, lettuce and tomato, are super fresh, with a lasting impression on the crunch of the lettuce, which is amazing. The bread is pretty good, unlike that well known shop that advertises too often on TV. The meat may not be the best but the combination of fresh veggies, bread and meat, is what I think separates Tastee apart from its competitors. These sandwiches more than satisfies as a snack or as a meal. Now if they can cut this these subs in half without my request, I'd be more thrilled! It's hard to pick up one of these subs as a whole. Order ahead and there is no wait, parking is plenty especially in the evening.

Would I recommend it? Yes. Is it worth seeing once? Also yes. It has that big, theatrical, old-school deli energy where the portions are part of the show. That said, I'm not in the camp that every good restaurant is automatically a five-star spot. When everything is a five, it gets harder to separate the truly elite places, the hometown heroes, and the restaurants worth planning a trip around. Harold's lands for me as a very solid three-point-something, graciously rounded to four because they have a Marine Corps flag hung in reception. The food was good, the portions were whatever you make it, and the whole place has novelty value without feeling like a total gimmick. The sandwiches are large enough to satisfy a hungry, medium-sized guy without completely defeating him. And honestly, on a menu full of meat, my favorite thing may have been the healthy pickled salad/pickle bar situation -- bright, crunchy, and a great counterbalance to the heavier deli classics. My biggest knock was the service atmosphere. There seemed to be an army of staff, but not much interaction beyond their phones. Maybe I caught it at an off time, and maybe the place comes alive when it's packed, but that kept the experience from feeling warmer or more special. Overall: fun stop, good food, convenient location, and worth doing if you're passing through. Memorable four.
