This hallal eatery has a limited menu, which is a bit of a downer (no gyro meat!). However, the food it has on it's menu is fantastic. The lamb is tender and flavorful. The chicken is beautifully spiced and gives a lamb the run for it's money as the best meat. And better yet, you get a mountain of meat on your order, you won't come away hungry. The pita bread was nicely grilled and held up well to the meats and sauces. The sides were a bit disappointing in that none of them stood out. But, they did compliment the meats, so I recommend mixing your food together to create a giant flavor bomb. And the price is absolutely right (you can get a fantastic meal for right around $10). read more

Edible but the name Tasty should probably imply flavor? We got two combo orders with chicken and gyro meat with spinach and chick peas and everything just lacked flavor. Pretty disappointing after spending $35 on lunch for two. If you want real kabobs go to Ravi kabobs or Reston kabobs where you'll find flavor. read more

Honestly - I walked in and I wasnt feeling and we walked out and went to Santouka. Looked at their menu and wasn't feeling it and boyfriend decided he wanted to try Tasty Kabob. I reluctantly followed along. We went back in and the shop owner was so welcoming to have us back. He started immediately offering samples and asking us whats our preferred spice level. I ended up trying the medium with the yogurt sauce on my chicken mushroom (not spicy enough so I ended up with the medium sauce). Boyfriend got the chicken and lamb on a salad with a pita on the side. SO. MUCH. FOOD. Not only was it fresh, it was delicious!!!! Customer for life for sure. Give them a try!! read more

Chicken and lamb platter 8.67/10: this was an Afghanistan restaurant that gives platters. I got the half chicken and half lamb on top of salad with a side of chickpeas and spinach. The chicken was phenomenal. Incredibly flavorful, I thoroughly enjoyed it. The lamb was good however I didn't expect it in meatball form and it was a little dry and salty. I really liked the spinach as a side and the chickpeas was also great, had a soup like consistency. Daners advocated for the rice and said it was great. Look at the portions this place gives it's actually huge. I highly recommend!! My only complaint is that the tzatziki sauce lowkey tasted like a mix of yogurt sauce and ranch. This is a great fast food option in Tyson's corner. The meat is flavorful, and for those who like Chipotle, it's a similar option. This place has huge serving sizes for the price. It is pretty cheap for the area and delicious food! The menu is pretty limited but that is OK. I love the fresh pita and the size they give is pretty big. I try the chicken and mushrooms which was so hearty and warm and very flavorful. It was an extremely savory dish and reminded me of the Afghani stews from my favorite Afghan place - Aracosia. I felt like I ate a lot but I could only eat half of it. I loved the sautéed spinach that came with the dish. Definitely a big serving size for the side and had a lot of different spices in it. The okra was also delicious and served with a tomatoey kind of sauce. I would definitely get takeout from here again! I wish it was closer to my place. read more

From the taste and texture, Looks like they use thigh meat which is much better suited for meat being cooked on a big flat top and sit around and not try out. Decided to try this on a whim and ordered the lamb/chicken combo w/chick peas and spinach. The chick peas were decent, the spinach was the best tasting thing on my plate. The rice it is served with was too over cooked, the lamb and chicken was quite dry and flavorless. The white sauce was not that good, the green sauce was meh...odd considering I love both of those sauces at just about any kabob place. Came here for the first time today and loved it! The environment was so clean and the person helping us was very helpful. The menu's pretty limited but I honestly think it's all you need because the menu itself is very easy to read. The pricing for everything is also very cheap! I ordered a rice bowl with the chicken & lamb protein along with the spinach and chickpea sides. Everything was still hot, fresh and tasty. No complaints at all. When we walked in, we were kindly greeted and walked through the whole ordering process. We were even given samples, and let me tell you they were great! I never like lamb, but this lamb was really yummy and juicy. The chicken was also amazing as well. I hate to write this review because I really loved Tasty Kabob. I've been a customer since they had a food truck in Ballston. However, tonight, I witnessed the most disgusting thing ever. As we were waiting for fresh chicken, the employee grabbed his phone and went to the back for about ~five minutes. Cool, as he comes back he has his phone in one hand talking and pulling a trash can in the other. He put the trash can away behind a door. He put his cellphone down and greeted the two customers waiting on him. As he asked for their order, I just knew he would wash his hands. HE NEVER WASHED HIS HANDS! Instead, he grabbed the gloves and started making their plates. We noticed and left. You touched your phone and a trash can then food?!! That is so unsanitary. Unfortunately, I will no longer patronize this business. And if the owner sees this review, please look at your cameras around 6:30pm and you will see the nastiness! read more
