Thai Flavor Hot Soup/Tom yum flavored
    Jess N.

We were able to get seated right away! Everyone order their own hot pot, which was nice since this hot pot had everything you need and it just comes out cooked and boiled for you like a one pot soup. The Tom yum soup was very flavorful and it was pretty big for one, but not impossible! The beef flavored one was probably one of their most popular one and I would agree! I wanted to switch with my partner after trying his tasty pot. They also give you this house made sauce that you can dip your meats and veggies with.

Came here for late lunch on a weekend and it was not too busy. Seemed like they only had one server but they were efficient in seating and ordering process. We ordered the Szechuan spicy pot and the Japanese miso pot. They were both the larger portions! It also comes with a side of rice or noodle. We both opted for the noodle and they provided vermicelli noodle. I enjoyed the Szechuan spicy pot as it definitely had a kick to it (medium spicy)! My pot had lots of ingredients ranging from tofu, tofu skin, fish ball, beef, fish, veggies, mushrooms and more noodles! Overall I really enjoyed the meal and would definitely be back as this is the perfect meal on a chilly day.

Quiet and cozy restaurant~ had plenty of seating when arrived and was assisted pretty quickly. The menu items were easy to choose from but the downside was you weren't able to swap out some of the items for something else but definitely allowed to remove items. Food was filling - really enjoyed the individualized hot pot and thought my soup was spot on - I got the Kimchi Dumpling soup. Wouldn't mind coming back here - 7/10!

My go-to place every single time I visit. I love their selections but their #9 is my usual. Love their dipping sauce and choice of boba drinks available. Great atmosphere and friendly service.

The food here is absolutely delicious! Our order came out in less than 15 minutes even with the restaurant bring super busy! The food itself was great quality and fresh! Parking is a little tricky to find since it's in Dinkytown but there's a parking garage with free parking less than a 5 minute walk away!

I was surprised when I finished the Lamb Hot Soup since it gave the impression that it was for more than one person. That aside it was one of the best foods I've ever had at a restaurant. I was in need of a meal that was as good as beef but not strong that day that could warm me up and not overfill me and the portion size was just right. Most of all, the white rice that came with the dish was one of the best I've ever eaten. Eating a chopstick-full by itself after having some of the soup has a great taste to it that's rare for me. One other thing that's good about it is the meal is kept at a constant temperature that keeps the food from going cold so you can continue to enjoy it. Compliments to the ones who made the meal. The cost for my meal was surprisingly affordable for one person, which was around $28-$29, great food for a great cost for one person depending on what you have and decide to include when ordering. For a family it's a nice place to go have lunch and/or dinner together in. For one person, save for the socializing happening around you, it was a nice place to eat a good meal in peace especially if you have music to listen to. Service was good, the employees are nice and judging by the cleanliness of the tables they care about providing a good place to have a meal in. I see myself coming back at some point, maybe with family or by myself to have the same experience when the timing is right.

My favorite place for a comfort meal. Their portions are pretty big so it's worth the price. I love the cheesy/creamy pot.

This is the place to go to for hot pot. I'm always finding myself craving them. The portion size is amazing! They really load it up with veggies and proteins and they don't skimp out on you. I usually get #1 (the beef one) with a side of rice. I am completely stuffed afterwards. The people who work here are AMAZING. They come around asking if you want more water, dipping sauces, or sometimes even more broth. The service is fast! The vibe feels like if you're sitting in a restaurant surrounded by family and friends. It's pretty low key and loud with people talking and laughing over food.

My friend Noah asked me to join for Hot Pot. Never been here so I said sure. Wally joined us from CA and said it's great, gotta check it out. Noah and I ordered off the wall. Wally ordered the number 1. Today's special was Szechuan and although I asked for medium spicy... there was almost a cup of cayenne peppers. Sooo yummy. Lots of seafood and some meats and just a bunch of flavor.

Japanese miso -light miso flavor in the soup. Toppings are okay. Small clams has lots of sand lol. House soup beef - this soup is really good. I would say it's in between a Tom yum and a spicy miso. Comes with clear noodles or rice . Nice little spot and cool decorations.

Updating my review because the service has gotten faster the last few times I've gone. This is def my favorite hot pot spot in the Cities because of the quality ingredients and flavorful broth. It's your own pot and everything is already in the pot for you, but you get a lot of food and you can have a side of rice or noodles (I always end up with rice) . They don't have a sauce bar but you can request dipping sauces. It's hard for me to try new soups because I am loyal to the stinky tofu, beef, and Taiwanese soups. The boba tea is also decent here. The space itself is small, but there are a good number of tables for smaller group that could be combined for a bigger group.

I came here with a large group (reservation) and we were sat down quickly and efficiently. I didn't order any food, and just had their green hot tea. Their cups were compostable, but I was disappointed that they didn't have their own cups for it. The interior design was nice and the chairs are sturdy. The room was well ventilated so I wasn't chocked with smelling other people's food. There was a little miscommunication with what I tried to order but that was **my fault**, so if you come here make sure to communicate clearly.

I don't have a good hotpot place where I live so when I found out about Tasty Pot, I had to go. This was my first meal in Minneapolis and it did not disappoint. It reminded me so much of Boiling Point which I have pretty often when I travel to Los Angeles. It was exactly what I needed and I'll definitely be going back whenever I'm in Minneapolis.

By far, our favorite was the pork bone broth, which is the house specialty. And then, if your hot pot broth is not to your liking, you can alter it using the sauce and seasoning bar. We also got the Szechuan peppercorn and the wild mushroom broth, all three were good. The Szechuan peppercorn was a bit of a one trick pony, but if you cooked it in pork broth and then dipped it in Szechuan peppercorn broth oh, it was delicious.. Anything and everything you'd want to put in your hot pot is available and you could just go get it for yourself. I really like this element because there are things I don't want in my hot pot and there's things I want doubly in my hot pot., and with this model, I can select whatever I want. You can also get all you can eat off the menu as well, for dim sum and grilled items, but honestly, we couldn't eat very much of those. We were very full from hot pot. I highly recommend spending the three dollars for the all you can drink tea and lemonade. It was also to die for. I don't usually drink sugar drinks, but I made an exception today and I am not sorry. I also wanna give a shout out to the staff who were incredibly helpful and kind. Thank you, Abigail and the guy whose name I didn't catch..

The wings had amazing coating and sweet and tangy sauce on them. So good! Pad Thai was a perfect noodle sauce balance. Duck Congee was not what I expected but the rice was tender, and a bit sweet and the duck paired nicely. I would order all of it again. We will be visiting again soon to try it all there. One of the best things is that you can raise the food from the broth so you don't have to dig for it. We ended up trying almost everything plus some apps (also included). Some of the vegetables took longer and some of the meat should have been shorter but we finally caught on. We loved the multitude of mushroom options. And the seafood was very good. The spicy broth is indeed spicy (not MN hot - spicy). We cooked many items in spicy and then mixed that and another broth for our bowls. That worked great. Once seated, your greeted with a tall cold glass of water, a small cup for your complimentary hot tea. The menu is a bit large so I recommend maybe reviewing it prior to sitting or coming in to eat, to help save time and not feel rushed to order. I ordered the lobster sticky rice plate. It's a seasonally priced item on their menu. As of April 5th, the price was around $72.00 for a full lobster. It was steamed I think, then what I find odd but unique is the chef chopped up the lobster while still in it's shell then mixed the sticky rice and scrambled eggs with it, onto a large serving plate. It looks nice and delicious. I thought the lobster would've been de-shelled. So if you don't want to mess with the lobster shell maybe ask if they can exclude it from your dish. Highly recommend eating here, the prices are decent on the regular things and the food tastes awesome!
