You pull into a plaza where everything else is closed except for this business and say hi to the security guard stationed at the entrance of the place---at 11 AM---to walk into a lounge beautifully decorated with green walls, floral accents and a disco ball. It is clear that the majority of patrons come much later in the day, like after 9 PM, to get bottle service listening to a DJ or any other performer. This would explain why the air conditioning was cranked so high, to accommodate the bodies and electricity that would pack the place much later. Our server didn't crack a smile but immediately brought us water after we asked and rounded back twice to take our order. Like I said, going during the day when there are only about 5 other parties dining seems to be the move for prompt service and food preparation. The dishes came out super hot and fresh. The Creole Seafood Omelette ($26) was chock full of well seasoned shrimp and lobster and cheese, with a creamy roux on the side that was good to occasionally dip a bite into but wasn't necessary all the time. The potatoes that came on the side were just the right amount of crispy while leaving some heartiness to them. The Fried Chicken and Waffles ($26) included flavorful fried chicken with breading that didn't quit when you tore it or cut into it. The cool part of this dish is the choice you have of the waffle it comes with. The Cookies and Cream Waffles should be your go-to. They were topped with the chocolate cookie sandwich crumbles and a great homemade vanilla icing. For a Lauderhill establishment in an area where you really don't know of anything else happening, this place is worth a venture out for your brunch. I'd go back to try the other items and drinks!

I wish there was a little bit more to taste, and the wings were perfectly fried and seasoned well. I will say the chicken tenders for the kids meal were very tiny. They were more like strips instead of actual full-size tenders and they were packaged with the fries which made them extremely sweaty and wet, and the fries were also very soggy. I would recommend packaging the items separately and not stuffed in a box to sweat together. The drink for the kids meal was very tasty a little on the sweet side. It was their mystery tropical drink. Customer service was extremely friendly. I had to ask for condiments and napkins but overall they seem like young kids that did their best. I will say the price is a little bit on the tad side. This was almost $30 and the serving sizes just weren't there for the money. But the taste was great. This time I ordered 2 whole chickens (1 with two sides, cole slaw and potato salad), and again, The Tarpley Family Rib Meal (Mac and Cheese with Baked Beans-and Cornbread). Wow. We had a lot of food. Everything was fantastic! My father-in-law was eating so fast and barely said a word the whole time. It was obvious he was pleased with the food. Now, my mother-in-law is another story. When she loves something, she has to talk about it with each bite noting something wonderful she noticed with each morsel. She loved the way the mac and cheese tasted and the crust on the ribs where it is slightly charred on the edges. She pulled off a little sliver and held it up remarking, that this is her favorite part...and then she went on and on about how great the sauce was. I was kind of blushing as if I had made it myself...except, well, I didn't! The really funny thing was when she commented on how the Collard Greens tasted because she doesn't really care for Greens. LOL Hubby was also very happy with the Greens. The other day must have been a fluke because these were excellent. I have to confess, I didn't try them, not that I needed to. My plate was full of deliciousness and I packed on the chicken and ribs, beans, corn bread, cole slaw-oh and mmmm mac and cheese and still somehow managed to finish it all. Thank you to Sweeteheartz for taking away the stress, and bringing us a delicious home cooked meal that we all loved making this a really wonderful Father's Day barbecue!
