Everything came out nicely prepared hot, and it was definitely a seafood experience worth having. A special shout-out to our server, **Joshua**! He was absolutely amazing friendly, attentive, professional, and made sure we were taken care of throughout our entire visit. It was my son birthday and we didn't have to cut the cake and Joshua went out his way to to run to family dollar and brought one please a cake topper and used his own money and that was so nice of him to do so. Joshua personality and excellent customer service truly stood out and made our experience even better. He went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. Great food + great service = a great experience! If you visit Mr. Q, definitely ask for **Joshua**. He deserves to be recognized for the wonderful service he provides!

The restaurant is on the east side of 441 just south of Sheridan street. We came from the east and made a u turn at 441 and entered the parking lot through the Mobil gas station. Parking is at a premium here as there's a Family Dollar store and a Sedano's supermarket in the same strip. They specialize in seafood boils. On the window outside they were advertising chargrilled oysters for a $1 each. Dine in only. Woohoo. My husband and I each ordered a dozen oysters and one side of potatoes. The chargrilled oysters were great. Dowsed in garlic butter, and served hot, they actually tasted chargrilled. They came with lemon wedges and a few slices of bread to sop up the oyster flavored butter. The side of potatoes were three small red bliss potatoes that had been steamed. They were plain -- no seasoning --but that was okay as I also dipped them in the leftover garlicky butter. Two things I didn't particularly care for were 1. that they served plastic ware to eat the oysters. And 2. They automatically include a gratuity on the bill (but they said so up front). To sum up: Bottom line -- liked the oysters (especially for $1 each) but didn't like having to use the plastic forks.

Granted it was on…read moreFather's Day, and I totally understand how busy it was and the server communicated at the end that they were very understaffed. I have so much respect for service workers, so no bad blood and would give it another chance any day! However, it took more than 30 mins for us to be seated or even addressed, we stood and waited for a hostess. Our order was taken more than 20 mins after we sat, even though we were doing an AYCE. Our server was very sweet -- again, I understand! But our service really was unfortunately not good. She had more tables than usual and across different sections so it seemed she kept forgetting to check on tables more often. We were there for over 4 maybe 4.5 hours, and the food was awesome!! The seafood was amazing, so well made and fresh, and sides were very yummy. It was just overall hard to get things ordered or get a servers attention. They also ran out of some items. Our server disappeared for a while, and eventually returned after more than 30 mins. She apologized for the poor service multiple times, but it just kind of ruined my siblings birthday experience. I hope owners/managers can be more understanding of their staff and correct this moving forward as it's also not fair to them :(

We arrived Friday night and got seated as a table of 3 without having to wait. We shared the #3 combo which was perfect for 2 people. The #3 combo comes with green-lipped mussels, clams, shrimp, and snow crab. For sides we picked potatoes, rice cakes, and boiled eggs. Everything came out super quick and was nice and hot. It all was delicious, the rice cakes, potatoes, and eggs were cooked perfectly and the ultimate sauce was packed with flavor. We finished the whole thing and somehow had room for some dessert after, the donuts with condensed milk which were yummy. I think I found my new favorite seafood boil spot!

This time I had the shrimp po' boy, and my boyfriend ordered the Voodoo Burger. Both were absolutely delicious. I've also had the crawfish étouffée here before, and it's one of my favorite dishes. I was curious about their crawfish, so I asked if it was frozen. They told me they fly it in fresh from Louisiana every day, which explains the incredible flavor. To top it off, they surprised us with a sample of their crawfish boil, and it was fantastic! Our server was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. Between the authentic flavors, fresh ingredients, and welcoming service, this is easily one of the best places in South Florida for Cajun food. Highly recommend!

Unfortunately, our brief visit confirmed our hesitation. Upon walking in, the hostess was eating while seating us, which immediately felt unprofessional. We chose to leave before ordering even drinks. Hopefully others have had a better experience, but ours ended almost as soon as it began.

We stopped by Voodoo Bayou, a Cajun-inspired restaurant that definitely did not disappoint. We went during happy hour, which runs Monday through Friday from 11:30 AM to 7:00 PM (bar area only). Right away, we noticed how friendly the staff was, and the ambiance was absolutely amazing. I also heard they have live music on certain nights, which makes me want to come back even more! Now, let's get to the food. I decided to try the fried oysters, and listen... for my first time trying oysters, I was hooked! They were so good that I ordered a second round. My husband ordered the hickory-smoked wings, and let me tell you, these are a MUST-TRY. The flavor was incredible! Of course, we couldn't leave without ordering their famous beignets. OMG! They were absolutely delicious. If I had any room left, I would have ordered another plate. And how could we order all that food without some drinks? You know me better than that! My husband ordered the Black Magic Lemonade with bourbon, and it quickly became his favorite drink of the day. Then he spotted an Old Fashioned on the menu, and there was no way he was passing that up--he was in heaven! As for me, I ordered the Frozen Hurricane, and let me just say... it definitely did the job! This place has officially made our list of favorite happy hour spots. We can't wait to come back and try more items on the menu. And of course, I'll be bringing all my foodies along for the journey! Until next time, my foodie lovers!
