Was good but green (apple flavor maybe) wasn't my flavor. Guest was able to switch flavor and replace apple with lavender and that was good. Overall, was cute brunch place. They have small outdoor seating as well. Would definitely return.

I had no idea there were so many varieties and it was paired with the best potato salad I've ever had. Authentic and delicious sauerkraut to match. Also ordered the House-Cured Slab bacon, paired with a blackberry gastrique. Excellent choices I must say. For dinner, we just had to try the Schnitzel. Admittingly, it was hard to decide (all were veal options and there was one chicken option)! I chose the Champignon Rahmschnitzel and hubby got the Jager Schnitzel. Both were topped with sauce and mushrooms - but entirely different. The Rahmschitzel was breaded veal and had a white creamy mushroom sauce. So delicious! And the Jager one was pan-seared veal with a demi-glace sauce. Outstanding as expected...I was literally drooling at every plate that passed me by. Topped my meal with some hard cider and I was golden. Stuffed and happy! Plattduetsche Park is so rich in history and they have established roots in the community going back 100+ years (established in 1901). What a fantastic place to be - come for the great cuisine and the culture. No special occasion needed. (Reservations suggested for The Hive restaurant - opens daily starting at 3PM). Mother's Day in the Beer Hall-…read more We were seated at a long and narrow table (not the ones that are usually in the beer hall) next to the service door. We were shoulder to shoulder to each other. I had to straddle a table leg because of the way the table was set up. I could not get my chair under the table. There was barely any room for our plates and glasses. Even though it was a Mother's Day event, there was not a kids' menu- which makes no sense bc you know kids will be at this event! Two of our dishes had to be sent back because they were cold. It's nice that they hire the local kids and the service was good. Overall, just a bad experience. I do not think we will come back for a special holiday again.

Let me tell you, the food is a delicious as it smells. I love little hole in the wall places that have great food, and this one of them. It's a very unassuming place that doesn't stand out but the owner is so friendly and just wants you to enjoy his food, and you will. I have had quite a few things on the menu, but the carne asada entree is great. The owner even had us try the beef and potatoe empanadas and now we order them when we get there. This place has become my little comfort food spot down the street.

Of those three, Carmela's was by far the most affordable. It was only $23 for the pie, which was significantly less than the others and let me tell you it was delicious. Carmela's has the best red sauce! Everything was delicious and delivered promptly. The only issue we had was the Fried Capellini was one short but we called them in it and they offered to make it right and apologized for the oversight. If you're in the area, come visit this gem.

Stepping in we decided to dine in. The restaurant is beautiful inside and very clean. Carmela's Pizzeria offers high end customer service. As we sat, a gentleman observed us as we viewed the take out menu. He introduced himself as Victor the manager, offering us a dine in menu. He began telling us about the restaurant, the owners, and the sauce. I learned that they use authentic sweet Italian pizza sauce obtained by using San Marzano tomatoes, directly from Italy. I also learned that this is a family owned restaurant and brothers Mike and Rick are the owners. Victor has been in the managerial position for over 25 years. Our waiter was Eric, a very kind and gentle soul, mastering the art of patience. Eric took our order and supplied what ever we desired. We had Greek salad with grilled chicken and one slice of pizza. The pizza had a mild sweet taste and it was nice and hot. The Greek salad came with a house vinaigrette. I don't prefer vinaigrette because it's too vinagery but the dressing was the absolute best that I've ever tasted. It did not disappoint. They are currently awaiting they're liquor license and will have a special menu on mother's day. I do have plans to attend and they will be opening the full restaurant on both sides. I can't wait!
