I love Tatte Bakery. Nice place with cozy atmosphere. Their chicken pita is incredible. One of my favorite here. It's a network cafe and some places are quite crowded. That's why I've put 4/5 stars. Also sometimes they serve your coffee in paper cup even if you told them eat inside. In particular in this place you will find pretty comfortable yourself with lot of spaces where you can work and eat. read more

I live in the area and am so happy they opened up this location! It is only ~6 months old but the management has done an excellent job. Tatte is clean, crisp, cozy, and efficient. This location is filled with sun as it has high windows. A great spot to meet a friend or even to sit solo. I see many people studying here or journaling. As more people are returning to the office, I can imagine meeting with coworkers or having coffee chats here! The food is always incredible and perfectly prepared. I recommend the house latte if you enjoy cardamom. The iced teas are quite refreshing. All of the pastries are delectable, my favorites are the different croissants, the chocolate snail, and the chocolate brioche. For food: the shakshuka is a must!! I also love the scrambled egg plates, lamb hash, and sun dried tomato grilled cheese. I take anyone and everyone to Tatte. My partner who lives out of town is obsessed with this place and always wants to eat here when he visits! My parents too love Tatte and ask me to bring them pastries when I go home to visit. I've never asked to speak with a manager before but this woman was so incredibly rude to me when I asked her the simplest question that I had no choice but to speak to someone about it. I actually apologized profusely to the manager for bothering him but her snide and utterly unacceptable response to me was beyond horrific. What a disaster of a human being. read more

I always love the Tatte cafes everywhere. This new location at Cambridge Crossing is the same as all the others - awesome! Theres several tables inside and out, and they of course have the open display of pastries. We ordered our usual: traditional shakshuka, a drink (cold brew this time), and a pastry (chocolate rose). It's a solid lunch spot, very consistent. Staff is always very nice and patient. Considering how crowded it can get, especially around lunchtime, they're very fast. If you're trying to come for dinner, be sure to check the posted hours first. read more

Tatte is a Boston classic. The last time I went I got a halloumi breakfast sandwich. It was simple yet filling and clearly had very high quality ingredients. There was a line out the door when I got there but it moved very quickly. The menu posted in the restaurant is less detailed then the written ones that you can get once you get inside. We ordered two sandwiches around 10a on a Saturday -- relatively slow time for this particular Tatte. One of the sandwiches is our favorite -- the Multigrain Avo Smash -- which we've ordered at various Tattes dozens of times. I am attaching a photo of the MAS at this specific Tatte on this specific occasion: there is no Avocado, and the entire sandwich looks like a new employee (Sahra, do you still work there?) who had no training in how to make the sandwiches on the menu made it. Sad to see Tatte has gone downhill the last couple years. I felt like I was at a bad Panera. First, the ambiance was really terrible. I was expected to be greeted by a coffee/bakery smell but the place smelled like...nothing. Which was weird. The floors were dirty, and the tables were extremely wobbly making it impossible to work on a laptop. The cold brew was very acidic, and the syrup options were those nasty premade ones. Ended up throwing out the whole coffee. Such a bummer. read more

Coffee shop with ample seating for those coming to study or coming to grab brunch. I highly recommend their tomato, basil, and mozzarella flatbread (heated up). The shakshuka is also pretty good and very filling. They have a seasonal menu with a warm salmon bowl that isn't too pricey considering the amount of salmon and that it's Boston. Salmon is cooked pretty well; crispy outside and tender inside. I've had all of their cakes and while I do recommend the chocolate and coffee mousses if you're in the mood for something sweet, I don't think the other cakes are as worth. read more

It was a windy day in the outskirts of downtown Boston. The construction was going, the trees were blowing, the cherubs were looking at the geese -- My lover was craving a panini. However it was bfast time and society did not allow paninis at this time of the day. When we entered the cafe, we were greeted by a sunny, marble disposition. The pastries embraced us with their flaky love. We ordered the croissant breakfast sandwich, with mine devoid of arugula. Service was satisfactory. Vibes were immaculate. However my lovers sandwich lacked arugula in spite of his desire to have the green vegetable in his mouth. Additionally, the croissant, while delish, was incredibly buttery. Sometimes growth outpaces quality, and the customer is left behind. Case in point, the new 222 Jacobs St location of Tatte. As a bit of a captive customer, because I work upstairs in the same building, I have now had dozens of encounters with this cafe. Since its opening this summer, this cafe has not shown any signs of improving the competency of its staff. Employees seem consistently confused about how to execute basic tasks like taking orders and packaging food items. The error rate is very high, resulting in either wrong items being delivered, or the wait times being very high. Drinks are often forgotten, perhaps because of the split stations between the register and coffee bar - which, while visually attractive, is just a black hole of mistakes. Also, I have now burned my hand four times because they are strangely unable to stock paper cups and plastic lids that fit snugly together. But where is management? I have rarely seen any floor manager in the cafe, and the staff appears to be just milling around, swimming in their errors. If this private equity-backed company is growing so aggressively, are they holding their operations leaders accountable for this farce of a launch process? Or are they just relying on some pretty wall tiles and overpriced pastries to ride their profits as long as possible, before another entrant comes along? What a disappointment. read more

We got traditional shakshuka and lamb kabob plate. Weather was nice and sunny with large glass windows and tall ceiling inside at noon. Shakshuka tasted great with bread slices with tomatoy and eggy flavors. The dish was a little too salty without bread. A must try if you haven't had this iconic North African dish before. Kabob plate came with three small meat balls, while pita, humus, pickled cauliflower were in good portion. We were well fed in the end. Nice restaurant with interesting cuisine. Terrible terrible service! They didn't process my order for salad so they got the manager involved, who finally pulls it together 45mins late and then doesn't include my substitution. When I flag that he basically lies that we don't do substitutions. On top of that he reimburses for the salad they basically messed up but didn't even think that it was appropriate that they compensate for the whole lunch hour that they wasted. Absolutely no acknowledgment of their incompetence. I like tatte but this is one location I will not be going too and moving forward none of my colleagues from work will go there either. There's another tattes at Kendall which maybe worth the walk if you're craving something tatte related. read more

This is my favorite Tatte location because there's lots of space inside (not too hard to find a spot even on the weekend).
