Grilled chicken Caesar's Wrap and Small O-rings

Such an unsuspecting spot. The place is relative open where the tables are not crowded, but I opted to sit outside at the picnic table. The staff is friendly and helpful with suggestions as I often debate over a special vs something always on the menu. Either way I had it in my head that I wanted a wrap and decided on the grilled chicken Caesar wrap with the recommended onion rings. Everything was so good, especially those onion rings with the sauce. Might be one of the best onion rings. The breading was crispy and flavorful. Unbelievable that it's a gluten free spot. I will definitely stop in again.

Got here at 10 minutes before close and was informed that they wouldn't take my order. This was extremely disappointing as I live a half hour away, so I won't be venturing back again.

Celiac Foodie: Wow! Great restaurant! Owner is Celiac and has created a great 'safe' dining experience for Celiacs! I ordered the Chicken Sandwich, breaded and so crispy! Seasoned perfect and crunchy! Speaking of crunchy- ONION RINGS are so delicious, perfect amount of coating with a Spicy Dipping Sauce. I haven't had Onion Rings in years and these are very good. Also tried the Mac and cheese with Pulled BBQ Pork on top- so good, just enough cheese and so creamy. Must try! The noodles are cooked perfectly and tasted really good. Run here- gotta try it! New business, hours fluctuate slightly due to staffing so check that out before you stop in the evening. Seating is Cafe Style. Food is bagged to go. Paper plates, condiments and silverware provided if you want to dine in. No illness after consuming food. Happy Dining!

This place is a gluten free human's dream. I highly respect the owner for being involved in his business, proving great info and chatting with his customers. The crispy chicken bbq sandwich was the bomb dot com. And the mac and cheese topped with bread crumbs and pulled pork was also a favorite. I crave it allll the time and unfortunately I'm not local so can't eat it daily I am a fried food snob and although I appreciate pickles and moz sticks that are GF, they weren't my favorite. That being said, I'd probably still order the pickles again just so I can have some friend pickles again in this lifetime. Love this business, food and the way the owner is involved! Awesome and willll most certainly return

How awesome to have a sport that offers exclusively gluten free food!! My mom has celiacs so she was so excited to try this place and that she could eat anything on the menu that she wanted! When you walk in, you order at the counter and then get your fountain drink, before seating yourself in the seating area to the left. There were both tables and booths available. I liked that there was lots of space for my toddler to comfortably run around while we waited for our food. I would consider this a family friendly restaurant due to the crayons & coloring pages available, space for all the kids to run around in the dining area, changing table available in the bathroom, and 2 high chairs available as well. Food is brought to your table in a brown paper bag, and you can grab paper plates and silverware from the counter if you desire. There were also picnic tables available outside. Only downside is the dining area was fairly warm with no airflow, but other than that, we had a great experience!

We went here because everything is GF, I'm not but my nephew is. The employees were amazing and friendly. The Mac & cheese was the best thing I tried and definitely worth it (couldn't even tell it was GF). I tried a few things and I'd eat it all again. Definitely a cool little spot. Would definitely go back again!

As someone with severe gluten intolerance it is always a treat to be able to order anything I want off the menu. It is a nice casual atmosphere with lots of yummy options. The greeter made sure to ask about any other allergies or food needs when I ordered. This was my second time here. The onion rings are delicious, and I got the homemade ranch dip. I also ordered the breaded chicken sandwich. It was good, but next time I will definitely ask for them to add lettuce. From my previous trip, the poutine is great. The fish sandwich was just okay. My teenage son loved his burger and fries and said they didn't even taste gluten free. It is on the pricey side, but worth it to have a treat and not worry about getting sick. Bonus mention for the clean all-gender bathroom.

Yummy! Picture-perfect gluten-free vegan burger "mission impossible" and bacon-bursting "bull rider" burger!

Oh my GLUTEN-FREE-GOODNESS! I absolutely love when I find a hole-in-the-wall place that also is so conscientious of those with food allergies. When I say that this place takes it seriously - I mean it! The eatery is designed as an à la carte ordering experience and take-out, but the staff will happily cater to you eating in at one of the cute picnic tables. The way they package the finished food is similar to In-and-Out Burgers! It's a delight for the eyes! The burgers are SOOOO juicy and scrumptious. The gluten-free bread is UNREAL and the texture is just like having gluten buns! The fries which complement the burgers are slightly sweet, spiced and umami. The tastes are delicious and remind you of a summer family picnic, without any allergies- I absolutely love it. They also sell locally-sourced gluten-free sweet desserts! I love to see local businesses supporting each other. I saw a few brands- Kind Crumbs, Bliss Bakery to name a few. Wonderful choices and delicious ways to to finish the meal, too! Will definitely return with my hubbu, who is also gluten-free.

We were seated very promptly since we had a reservation. The outside of restaurant is beautiful and has a huge parking lot. The area where we were seated was really nice with windows all along the wall. And our appetizers- the dressed eggs and lobster ravioli were amazing!! One of the biggest issues was the number of gnats flying around our table throughout the meal. We constantly had to swat them away from our wine glasses, which made it difficult to relax and enjoy the evening. I understand the occasional gnat. But this was kind of ridiculous. The service was also disappointing. Our server mentioned that he had worked at the restaurant for quite some time, but he didn't seem very knowledgeable about the menu and wasn't able to answer questions confidently. He was also not very attentive, and we often had to wait longer than expected for check-ins. Our food came out quickly but the wine always took quite a while to come to the table. The food itself was good, but when you're paying fine-dining prices, you expect the entire experience--including the atmosphere and service--to match. I hope the restaurant addresses these issues because it has the potential to provide a much better dining experience. Also, I would skip the sea bass entree. I was not really impressed with it and wished that I had ordered a pasta dish. However the server helped me decide and chose the sea bass. I loved the atmosphere. I loved the decor. I loved the wine and appetizers. But everything else just did not impress me. Not for the amount of money we dropped on this meal. I doubt I will return.

I've always said that The Heritage is one of GR's best hidden gems. This restaurant is run by…read morestudents at the Secchia Institute for Culinary Arts and offers a fine dining experience at a fraction of the cost. There are a few tips you'll need to pay attention to if you'd like to check it out. First, sign up for their email list so you get notified when their reservations open. They have extremely limited hours and dates that they're open (usually only two months throughout the year for a few days each week). The second thing to know is that your meal may take a bit longer than if you were to go out to a restaurant. Since it's a teaching environment, you may overhear instructors telling students how to properly clear tables, giving them tips, etc. and your food may take a bit longer to come out. All that said, if you can get a reservation for lunch or dinner at The Heritage, I highly recommend it. For dinner they usually offer a pre-fixe menu although it has changed over the years. I've dined at The Heritage several times now, for both lunch and dinner. If you have the time for a longer lunch, it's really fun. Nate and I went on their very first day of service during the winter 2024 session and it was great! You could definitely see some nerves, but we were enthusiastic and encouraging. We ordered a bunch of items from the menu: hand pulled mozzarella, chopped salad, shrimp bisque, pork curry, haute style beef, and two desserts. They start you with bread service, and they kept asking if we wanted more throughout the meal. The first few courses were spaced out appropriately and presented nicely. I LOVED the hand pulled mozzarella - it was flavorful and the baguette was perfectly toasted and not too crispy. I'd order that again. The salad was a huge portion and so beautifully plated, but it was a little lacking in flavor. I added some salt which helped. (In general, I have found most of the food to be a tad under seasoned for my taste, but they had salt and pepper shakers on the table). Our entrees took a bit longer to come out, but they were delicious. I preferred the haute beef, which was a perfectly cooked (medium rare) filet on some potato croquettes with delicious sauce. I did think it was interesting they didn't ask me how I wanted the steak cooked, but it was great. They also didn't offer a steak knife, but it wasn't necessary. The pork in the curry was super tender and cooked really nicely. Dessert is displayed on a cart that they bring around which is really fun. We went with the mocha latte torte and the raspberry passionfruit torte. I loved the mocha latte torte as it reminded me of tiramisu. In lieu of tips, an 18% service charge is added to each check and this money is put into scholarships that go back to the students. They also provide a comment card that you can give feedback on at the end of the meal. If you are a patient and kind foodie with a bit of time on your hands, definitely try to make it to The Heritage for a meal!

As others have mentioned, the drink list is pretty tight, especially wine by the glass. But considering how narrow the hours are here, any larger and they'd be pouring so much wine down the drain. There were 4 of us and we kind of made a point to order different things so we could explore the menu. I got the duck confit cotton candy and it was surprising in 2 ways. The cotton candy was much larger than I anticipated. There was also caramel hiding in the cone of the cotton candy. The duck itself was so good. All the fat was so rendered down. He got the Hamachi Kama. Our friends got the mushroom parcel and the quail egg cloud. I tried the quail egg cloud and the texture was really interesting. The quail egg was hiding under the meringue and it made for a fun bite. Good marks all around. My scallops were cooked to perfection and the curry sauce was killer. I wish the fennel was softened a little bit more but that's more a personal preference. The demi on his steak was amazing too. I was jealous of my friend's pork chop though. I will say that if you are in a rush to be somewhere after dinner, I don't know that this is the place for you. They are learning and that is the mindset that you need to be there to support. So please, don't be that person that gets upset about the wait or asks for something off-menu. I have had the privilege of eating at another culinary program's restaurant and the speed of service was dead similar to this. It's normal. The dessert was good but we had to take it to go because they had a show to get to. The napoleons we got held up really well even after a few hours. I would go back in a heartbeat. I also think that if you want to practice fine dining at an accessible price point, this is a great place to do it. It's a low-stakes, high payoff situation.
