My recent visit to this restaurant proved a wonderful surprise. It was previously Bobby & Timmy's, a restaurant I enjoyed. When I heard it had closed, I was very disappointed. But I was in the area and wanted a place that wasn't too far off my course. To my shock and delight, Tavern 6 Two 1 is significantly better! Before we even sat down, our host/server/proprietress greeted us with a warm, genuine demeanor that made a tough day better. I ordered one of their cocktails - a simple yet clever blend of cranberry infused vodka with ginger beer. It was the perfect complement to the fine summer day. The outdoor patio boasts a lovely view of a nearby pond and dog walk. Dogs aren't yet allowed in the patio area - for those of you who like to dine with your furry friends. My shepherds pie arrived piping hot, covered in smashed red potatoes with some skin. The flavors of the pie really shined through - a touch of marsala on ground beef, some corn and asparagus, topped with the earthen yet buttery layer of potato goodness. I would have preferred slightly more sauce with the meat, and mushrooms would have been a welcome addition, but overall I was quite pleased with the combination of creativity and conventionality this dish offered. I selected broccoli as my side, which was cooked nicely and well seasoned. My companion ordered a rare burger with fries. The burger was marvelously cooked and the fries were fresh and optimally seasoned. Our server even offered to keep our Wright's Dairy Farm pastries cool in the air conditioned dining room while we sat outside, and remembered to bring them out before we could possibly forget them. This level of service is difficult to find at any price point, let alone this - our two entrees and two alcoholic beverages were just over $40 including tax. I've been here several times now. Many times after playing next door but also to pick up food for take out. I haven't had anything yet that I haven't liked. Monica, the owner, is very creative with her food combinations that seem to always work. One example is their signature pizza that has shaved prime rib, chicken, banana peppers, Buffalo sauce and red onions. I was hesitant at first but it's really a great combination. The Asian pizza, nachos, calamari are all very good as well. They batter and fry the chicken wings to order... No massed produced food here it seems. In speaking with Monica, she told us that she makes everything from scratch so you know she cares about your food. They also make specialty drinks which are great. I have had several different ones with Clement aged rum. It's an excellent quality rum which I have only ever seen at high end bars and restaurants. The fact they carry it tells me that they care about giving you a high quality product at good prices. If you need anything or have any suggestions don't hesitate to talk with Monica. She has always been very accommodating whenever we've asked for anything. Whether it's after your game, the kids game, mid week dinner with the family or take out.... My second time here and again, it did not disappoint. The chili was spot on, wings were cooked to perfection (ja-crispy on the outside, tender white meat on the inside), but the calzone and the shepherd's pie was by far the best. This restaurant has really good affordable bar food. We love their apps: mozzarella sticks, potato skins, chicken tenders, nachos; it's all great. Their entrees are also really good and their portions are great. I never finish a meal and still feel hungry. They have a good variety of sandwiches and wraps. The only negative thing I can say is that their pizza is disappointing. In my opinion it's no better than a store bought frozen pizza. We recently dined here and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised. This is a cute little spot with ample parking and an impressive beer list. The food is mostly American fare - sandwiches, pizza, and several entrées as well. Service was very fast and friendly and we didn't encounter any problems on our visit. A few families went here tonight after a soccer game and left very underwhelmed. The food took FOREVER and came out in so many different cycles that some people were finished before others got their food. Our kids ordered a pitcher of lemonade (with no refill) and were charged $25! The adults got a pitcher of water and got 5 glasses out of it. The waitress said she just counted the kids (10) and charged them for a drink each. We questioned it and the waitress redid the check so it was $15. Still ridiculous but at that point we just wanted to get out of there. The food was OK. Not terrible but not good enough to offset the other issues. read more

So I've only been here 3 times, but I have to say every time has been AAA+ service and food. Everything is made to order, nothing pre-made or cooked ahead. The clam chowder was a pleasant surprise, it was thick and had a bit of kick to it, lots of clams and really really good. They have great daily specials. The staff is the friendliest staff you could hope for! The owner Monica typically greets you and has a smile that makes the whole room light up. The bartenders Jaimie, Jessica & Meghan are, in a word, delightful! They all make you feel at home the second you arrive. Great place for large groups or if you need to chill out with a buddy for a drink. Top to bottom a great experience and highly recommended! They have a really good selection of whiskeys and beer. Place is amazing! Great beers on tap, super nice staff. And the pizza is amazing!!!! Outdoor deck is a nice place to kick it and take in a warm summer's night. Staff will even spin around the flatscreens so you you scan watch the Sox, B's, or Pat's from the deck. My only wish was that they had sound outside, but I'm told they will have speakers in the next month or so. Pretty Cool! Worth a try! read more

Found this place on a whim... had a jalapeño and bacon pizza. Probably the best pizza that I have ever had. Not greasy. Doesn't flop down when you pick it up. The crust isn't doughy and overwhelming. The jalapeños were fresh and not canned or bottled. Definitely recommend this place. read more

My review is based on customer service ONLY. We never received our food. This is also our first time ordering from here. This was also a DoorDash order... I placed an order for a cheeseburger and a buffalo chicken tender. Throughout the process there was no place to specify type of bread (bun or wrap) or sauce. I called the Tavern immediately (1:00 PM) and asked the girl if I could have the burger in a wrap and Xtra Blue Cheese for the chicken. I explained that there was no where to specify through the ordering process. She told me there would be an up charge of .60 cents for the blue cheese. I explained that I had no way to note that and the order was already paid for. She then stated that it would be a dollar more..and it was not coming out of her tips. I asked if it came with blue cheese and celery and she said no.. it comes with NO sauce or celery (who serves buffalo chicken without those essentials?). I asked to speak with a manger or someone in charge... she said there was no one available. I cancelled my order. As business owners.. the proper way to handle that would be throwing in the blue cheese this time and loose the attitude. This company here will probably go elsewhere next time.. we do have other great options. We tried. read more

Been here a few times and every time tried something new and loved it. Everyone was friendly and even the owner came out when we had a question about the onion rings. My father likes thin onion rings and they normally serve thick ones. They were more than happy to make thin ones and even whipped up a dipping sauce.
