    Japanese Salmon

Food is great, we love the queso Americano and Guacamole for starters. I've tried their deviled eggs and it was just okay for me. I like their Zuni chicken salad but the chicken was a bit dry. I love the Japanese salmon. My husband likes the Mexico City brisket enchiladas. He's also had the steak tacos, though it was tasty the meat was tough. Service is impeccable, very attentive. Ambiance is classy and cozy at the same time.

Striped bass with lump crab over mashed potatoes and a side of spinach

Came in for lunch. The wait would have been about 30 minutes so we sat at the bar. Service was good- personable without being in the middle of your business. I did sit for a while with an empty glass while the woman next to me had hers topped off before it was halfway empty. (There was only 4-6 people at the bar with two bartenders) Buuuut it happens. They recommended the fish of the day- striped bass with crab over some tasty mashed potatoes. I do wish the spinach was a tad more wilted, but all around it hit the spot- I would definitely recommend it. A little pricey though!

Visited the restaurant a second time on a Wednesday night and it was a much better experience! I did not realize there aren't many restaurants in the area opened until ten and glad this one was! Our waitress Alexis was very attentive! The sushi grade tuna salad and the fish of the day were both fresh tasting and delicious! I truly enjoyed the many flavors in the tuna salad, which included a tropical flare. We indulged in their blueberry bread pudding! Well balanced with the lemon custard!

Food and atmosphere were amazing for our brunch following Susan G Koman Walk for Breast Cancer! A little pricey but taste was GREAT!

I can't believe I'm just discovering this spot. I shop at trader Joe's frequently and never paid any attention to the surrounding restaurants. What an amazing little gem. We went on a Sunday and the restaurant was busy. Our server Luis was awesome. He made a couple suggestions and they were all exceptional. We had the oysters Rockefeller and the deviled eggs. Both were 5 star. I had the crab cake salad. The crab cake had jumbo lump meat and no filler. All meat. It was one of the best crab cakes I've ever had. My husband had a filet snd enchilada and my bonus daughter had a grilled chicken salad. Everyone cleaned their plates. For my cocktail I started with a Bloody Mary. Great flavor but too much black pepper for me. Luis suggested a cocktail called the jam. It was exceptional! Bourbon, strawberry jam and sweet & sour. We will definitely go back on our next trader Joe run.

If you've seen my previous reviews you know I am a big fan of Tavern. I rarely eat a sandwich or burger, etc. because ... bread... Carbs. LOL. But I love bread, sammies, and burgers of any and every sort. Today because I was particularly hungry I was weak and opted for the French Dip. LOL. I love French Dips. This was good, but not up to what I would have expected from Tavern. I loved the way in which it was sliced into three manageable sections (two of which went home!). What was missing for me was the robust, rich, beefy flavor I'm hoping for in a French Dip sandwich. I would love to see more cheese, more mayo and a much, much more robust and flavorful au jus. The flavors just did not sing. But I made a discovery that is going to prove problematic for me on future visits. The French fries. Damn. I cannot undiscover this. LOL. These this are so ridiculously, crazy good. Wow. Thin cut, crispy, perfectly seasoned. So good! Finish them while they're hot.

Decided to dine in after a night of bocce at Clearfork. It had been a few years since I've dined in and decided to give it a try. Upon entering, we were quickly seated and greeted by our waiter for the evening, Luis. He was very welcoming and attended to us very well for the evening. We started with water and the fire roasted artichoke. Sooooo dang good and seasoned perfectly! Came with a dipping sauce that we didn't touch because it wasn't needed. (Sorry no pic) For entrees we both went with the special which consisted of grilled red snapper sitting atop a bed of mashed taters, topped with a butter sauce and 3 succulent shrimp, and a side of sautéed spinach. For dessert we tried the banana cream pie. Oh my gosh....HEAVEN on a plate! Overall I can't wait to return! The atmosphere was amazing and so were the service and food.

Came into The Tavern and had a great dinner. The service was nice and our waiter was very attentive. I loved the decor and how it seems to have an upscale but still relaxed atmosphere. Started with the smoked salmon that came with a horseradish sauce that was fantastic! Our entrees were the Baja Fish tacos that had really good flavor and cooked very well. The Sonoma Steak Salad was cooked and the dressing had great flavor that went well with the steak. Finally we had the Texas Burger that had a , Canadian Bacon, BBQ sauce and pickled onions. This was the surprise of the evening and normally you see pickled onions on tacos. However on this burger it works and really made it pop. I loved this place and can't wait to go back.

The food was amazing. The prices are high but worth it. The service was excellent, we sat at the bar. I absolutely love the ambiance of the restaurant. Can't wait to go again.

Got these to go and they are delicious!!

Great food, great drinks, and great service. I like to order one single egg for myself but today I got a couple of trays to go for my Christmas dinner. So good!

Service was great. Made a reservation. Ended up opting for bar seating. Drinks were on point. Bar tender was on point and checked on us regularly. Fun. Adult. Environment. Food was great, had the spinach artichoke dip. The shrimp cocktail, and the Japanese salmon. Then dessert (mud pie) came recommended from our fellows seated at the bar. Will def return! The food and drink was amazing. The service, outstanding!

Perfect choice! 1) BEST Street Corn fresh off the cob, seasoned to perfection 2) BEST Golden mashed potatoes that melted in my mouth with every bite. They were yellow and not bleached white. The flavor was amazing! 3) BEST Broccoli on earth. I don't know what they did to this broccoli that made me want to lick the plate, but if I could prepare it like this, I would eat broccoli every single day. 4) the grass fed steak was so tender that they don't serve it with a steak knife. They served it with a regular butter knife. That is how tender the beef was. 5) Our server was amazing as so friendly and knowledgeable. I never have had a meal that taste it so fresh and not overly seasoned but season two perfection on everything I ate from the appetizer of conchinita nachos to my entrée I can't wait to try their smoked chicken salad

Good start. Summer was a fantastic server. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive given she was overloaded with tables having taken on another section. Service trailed off a tad toward the end, which was the worst timing as we were trying to get to the concert. As for the food: no complaints all around. I thought their corn side was very good (I don't typically like corn), their broccoli was good. I didn't try their brussel sprouts, but my wife and in laws raved about them. My entree was the bunless bison burger with mashed potatoes and broccoli. I ordered the bison medium, but what came out was an overdone, crumbly patty held together by the melted cheese on top. I also felt their mashed potatoes were just okay. Although I I was disappointed in my meal, the ambiance, location, and experience of the rest of my party pushed it just over to the 4th star. I'd probably go back.

It's a breakfast spot with…read morea loyal following, a small footprint, and a wait that will test your commitment to eggs. Spoiler: it's worth it, with a few asterisks. First, the logistics. The space is cozy, which is a polite way of saying it is not built for large groups or people who like personal space. The wait can be substantial, and the indoor holding area is limited, if the weather is doing something dramatic, you'll want to know that before you commit. The real secret, which I discovered the hard way, is that you can join the waitlist online before you even leave the house. Life-changing information that arrived too late for us. Learn from my mistakes. Once seated, the coffee is hot, the iced tea is fresh, a surprisingly rare achievement at breakfast hours, and the menu has enough options to cause genuine decision paralysis. We ordered two Traditional Breakfasts, both over easy eggs, both crispy bacon. One arrived cooked to absolute perfection, eggs exactly as requested, bacon doing exactly what bacon is supposed to do. The other arrived with eggs cooked firmly over hard. Same table, same order, same server. How does this happen? It is one of breakfast's great unsolved mysteries. The breakfast potatoes, meanwhile, showed promise, well seasoned and flavorful, but arrived in a mixed state of doneness that required careful excavation to find the fully cooked ones. It was less of a side dish and more of an archaeological dig. The third order, the Tri-Fecta, came with a multigrain pancake the size of a small continent, which almost made up for the potato situation. And then there was the Million Dollar Bacon. We didn't order it. The table next to us did. I watched it arrive and I am still not over it. Order the Million Dollar Bacon. Do not make my mistake. Do not be me. First Watch is a solid breakfast spot with real upside, get on the waitlist before you leave home, order the bacon, and maybe double-check your eggs before your server walks away.
