My friend and I were unusually late in eating out; however, both of us were very hungry after a somewhat grueling day. The place was almost empty with only a few other patrons present. Surprisingly, we both ordered the chicken fried steak and dessert. Delicious! With the great food, along with the quiet ambiance, we had a great time of fellowship. Our server took good care of us as well. The restaurant seemed clean and well-maintained. Definitely eat here if and when you're in the neighborhood.

This cozy little spot is well spot on! A wide variety of menu items made it hard to choose, but several of us had the fish and chips, which were amazing ! I will have lunch here anytime. I'm in the area.

Chicken Fried Chicken (2 Sides). Pictured mashed potatoes and white gravy. Zucchini and squash. Texas Toast.

I heard about the Old Neighborhood Grill last year but finally got around to eating there yesterday. We like Chicken Fried Chicken so we ordered that with a side of mashed potatoes with gravy. The plate came with two sides so the other choice was Zucchini with squash. The plate came with Texas toast. We liked the large chicken fried chicken. The plates were $12.75 which were cheaper compared to Westside Cafe which has gone up in price to $15.99. We believe the price and great taste is a great reason to return! The vegetables were top notch too! Yummy. We will try the fantastic burger menu next time with those homemade onion rings. We saw a waitress bring out a cheeseburger and I kid you not it was one tall cheeseburger. The music in the background provided that 70s or 80s vibe. The place had that small cafe feel but plenty of seating in 1 of two rooms.

2 eggs over easy, grits, bacon, to die for biscuits and sausage! Under $12

The food is so good here. It has to be the best chicken-fried steak ever. It was light and crispy with just the right amount of gravy. The wide variety of sides is really nice.

Santa Fe chicken, sweet potato fries, green beans and toast, $10.75. Cup of lentil soup, $3.50

Last night, the wife and I finally got around to trying this place and we were happy we did. My wife had a cup of lentil soup, Santa Fe chicken with sweet potato fries and green beans. I had the pot roast with mashed potatoes and black eyed peas. Everything was very good. The pot roast had a nice amount of fat. Fat is flavor! I would like to see them offer larger portions. I'd happily pay for a meat and three. You order at the counter and they bring your order to your table. There are two small dining rooms with kitschy decor including ceramic chickens. They were fairly busy on a Thursday evening. We'll be back to try other menu items. BTW, they also do breakfast.

Very homey locally owned FTW American restaurant that me and my partner loved! The menu is HUGE and would be able accommodate even the pickest of eaters, vegetarian, etc. They even have dessert! (which we didn't have but looked lovely). You order at the counter and they bring it to you. I got a classic cheeseburger and had the looooongest French fries I've ever had! My partner absolutely adored the bacon cheeseburger. The staff is very polite and helpful. Y'all come on down and support this charming grill!

We both got soooo full and still had leftovers. He had the steak tacos and I had the double smash burger with peppers and aioli sauce. The food came out really fast and was great! We ate outside and even though it was pretty packed, we were still attended to frequently. The bonus was the adorable cat outside who walked around. There's also a giant tv outside that had the basketball game on. There's plenty of outdoor seating!

We ordered nachos as an appetizer to split, along with two beers and a kids meal. What arrived was Motley Crue waking from a drug binge, raiding the pantry and trash, then declaring "let's do it." What was supposed to be nachos was anything but. The only explanation is someone who had never seen nachos tried to recreate them after hearing a rumor from someone at a Lowe's parking lot. The "chips" were not tortilla chips. They were rectangular strips of pale, flimsy material that looked like scraps of drywall film pulled out of a new construction site. An albino drywall experiment that somehow escaped the kitchen and landed on a plate. The entire thing was covered in barbecue sauce, with some mystery white liquid poured over the top. We assume it was supposed to be queso, but it definitely was not queso. Calling it queso feels disrespectful to actual queso. We ate maybe a quarter of it and decided we needed to leave before things got worse. Six hours later, we received an unannounced encore performance in the bathroom. I would avoid this place like a plague outbreak--unless you have an upcoming colonoscopy and want to skip the bowel prep.

FRESH & DELICIOUS I had the freshest meal I've ever had in…read moremy life last night! It was a first date and he chose the restaurant. Perfect choice! 1) BEST Street Corn fresh off the cob, seasoned to perfection 2) BEST Golden mashed potatoes that melted in my mouth with every bite. They were yellow and not bleached white. The flavor was amazing! 3) BEST Broccoli on earth. I don't know what they did to this broccoli that made me want to lick the plate, but if I could prepare it like this, I would eat broccoli every single day. 4) the grass fed steak was so tender that they don't serve it with a steak knife. They served it with a regular butter knife. That is how tender the beef was. 5) Our server was amazing as so friendly and knowledgeable. I never have had a meal that taste it so fresh and not overly seasoned but season two perfection on everything I ate from the appetizer of conchinita nachos to my entrée I can't wait to try their smoked chicken salad

Good start. Summer was a fantastic server. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive given she was overloaded with tables having taken on another section. Service trailed off a tad toward the end, which was the worst timing as we were trying to get to the concert. As for the food: no complaints all around. I thought their corn side was very good (I don't typically like corn), their broccoli was good. I didn't try their brussel sprouts, but my wife and in laws raved about them. My entree was the bunless bison burger with mashed potatoes and broccoli. I ordered the bison medium, but what came out was an overdone, crumbly patty held together by the melted cheese on top. I also felt their mashed potatoes were just okay. Although I I was disappointed in my meal, the ambiance, location, and experience of the rest of my party pushed it just over to the 4th star. I'd probably go back.
