Asked for a well-done burger but received one that was medium RARE. Finally got one that was cooked...20 minutes later. Had to ask for ketchup and napkins four separate times until the server finally got it. The sad thing is that it's not even busy in here! Won't be back. Food was marginal to average, and that is being generous. Service was incredibly lacking. I've never had to ask so many times for basic items - let alone for my food to be cooked until it's actually done. This local gem is excellent! Even during the lunch rush we were able to snag a table. Food tasted disgusting. The steak was definitely rotten. The chicken wasn't washed well before it was cooked. The green beans were overly breaded. Ranch recipe is not accurate; it is way too sour with chunks of herb. It is more like tartar sauce - why? IDK. The server warned us about the ranch prior to serving it and that should be a sign to the business owner that this product is not good. Only edible thing was the vegetables that the steak was served on. We shared our concerns with the waitress who was distracted by the group of regulars and totally ignored what we said, then she WALKED AWAY. First and foremost the staff here is awesome. Upon first coming here I was greeted by Apearl. Pleasant uplifting attitude. Made me feel very welcome. Amongst the others (Ashley, Dan, Justin, Taylor, Jillian, Sal, Ashley, and Bailey amongst others. All so nice and pleasant always greeting with a welcome. There there is the food. Which is so good. I've almost cleared all items on the menu. Favorites from spicy chicken sandwich the the club and salads. Great portions and never leave hungry. Company is a friendly place to relax. Some nights with karaoke, private singers. Owner goes out of his way for the comfort of employees as well as customers and it's shown and you can see it. Tried the Tavern Grille tonight and I am beyond pleased. Ordered the house burger and it was the best hamburger I've had in I can't tell you how long. I'm not sure where they buy their meat but it is guaranteed USDA Prime. My wife had a French dip and she thought the same thing about the quality of the meat. She said her Caesar salad was the best she's had outside of Caesars in Tijuana (which we visit frequently). Obvious quality ingredients plus great service equals a return visit for sure. read more

Food is always fresh and tasty. I love lamb and it's hard to find in other restaurants. The spicy hummus is also a winner.

Another spectacular dining experience! We came in to celebrate our 14th wedding anniversary with a good meal, a drink and the best service of any restaurant in Temecula valley. Sal is a pleasant, high-energy server who loves his job. He went out of his way to make sure we had anything we needed. Walked in not expecting much from a local bar 2 minutes down the road but boy was I wrong! Soon as we walked in we were greeted and a table was cleaned for us. I think our waiters name was Sal, but he was amazing! So friendly and willing to answer our questions. We tried the meals he suggested and definitely don't regret it , the French dip sandwich was my favorite thing but the wings and club sandwich were great too with super large potions that you can share for 2 people . All the food came out hot and our waiter consistently checked on us and made sure we were happy with everything. The food was good enough, but the restaurant doesn't have the most welcoming environment if you're not a regular. The bartender/server, Jillian, has a terrible attitude and she's terrible at service. She brought out our drinks for us and I asked her for a couple glasses of water and the look on her face was as if I just slapped her mother. Then she said "I'll let your waitress know". Pretty sure she never mentioned the water to our waitress because we never got it. It's as if she would've rather been anywhere else but at work- and it seemed as though she thought it was the our fault that she had to be there. She even became hostile when I asked for her name. With the attitude she has, she really shouldn't be around any customers. Anyways, this was our first time here. We arrived around 7:30pm. It took a few minutes for someone to greet my party when we walked in, so we were all kind of standing there awkwardly wondering whether we should seat ourselves or wait to be seated- there is no hostess stand. When we were seated and it finally came time for our waitress (Taylor) to take our food order, she completely forgot to ask one member of our party what they would like to eat. We had to track her down to add their food to our order. It honestly seemed like she was trying to avoid us... we could see her conversing with other customers and when we would be on our way to approach her, she immediately went into the kitchen/employee area. I also have to mention that one of the first items we ordered on Taylor's visit to take our food orders was a BLT. That BLT was the last item to come out and I even had to seek out another employee to ask the status after waiting around 30 minutes for a simple sandwich. The guy bartender was great though. He had great customer service and was very efficient despite having multiple other customers at the bar. He greeted everyone with a smile and did a great job at making us feel comfortable in a new place. 10/10 stars for him and his work! However, I would not recommend this place to anyone, or come here again. Hire servers who actually know what great customer service is. Hire servers who don't play favorites to the regulars and who will treat everyone with the respect that all paying patrons to your establishment deserve. An important aspect of running a business is retention, and the two servers I mentioned (Jillian and Taylor) are doing nothing to help Tavern Grille's new customers to feel comfortable coming back here. Don't really have much to say about this lil spot, it felt really crammed but the service was good, we first walked in and sat at an empty table in the middle but felt like we were on display if that makes sense lol (also the tables were super wobbly not that it matters but just thought I'd mention) so we moved to a corner spot by the door instead. This bar & grill has a very "home" community feel. Everyone here knows one another & it just feels very community based. The food is great & even on busy sports Sundays, their service is on point.
