Tavern was once a Nashville staple, but my last visit I left a little disappointed. The Nashville Hot Benedict looked delicious, but didn't have a ton of flavor. I had to add salt & pepper to get through it. We did have great service, but there was a pretty bare bones crowd for a summer Sunday brunch

So excited this restaurant has reopened. I have been back twice and had great experiences both times. The staff has consistently been great and so has the good. I had the steak frites the first time 5 stars and the pork belly the second time, also 5 stars. Totally recommend for GNO, date night, or group. You will not be disappointed.

This upglow is incredible! Our second time here this month. We looove the ambiance, the lamps in the tables, the glasses for water, all the modern decor and windows! There's a couple TVs if you need them but they aren't distracting at all. Parking isn't great, we always just pay for it and walk a block, maybe there's a trick to it that we don't know about. Our favorite thing is the happy hour weekdays before 6pm - $9 craft drinks, starters and pizzas. The pizzas are a really good size, but if you're hungry you won't want to share! We are biiiig fans of the petite salads. Old fashion drink: A+ (great blend and not weak) Kale salad: A+ (currants, almonds, oh my) Eden drink: A (refreshing) Bees knees drink: A (flavorful) Margarita pizza: A (light and refreshing & flavorful) Pepperoni pizza: A (the little cup pepperonis are full of hot honey and it's incredible) Calamari: A- (with peppers A, sauce is good) Smokin Goat salad: A (spicy garlic) Espresso martini: B+ Pumpkin cheesecake: B We will absolutely be back and we highly recommend it! I love their drinking glasses. And they are generous with their drinks. You never taste like they are watered down. Everything is really good and I know you'll love it! Don't sleep on the Tavern!

I've been here before a long time ago and the place has changed. I had a great time then. This time wasn't bad either. I stopped for a late snack. I like the new decor but it doesn't have the Taver feel it used to have. It's very modern. I like it though. I sat at the bar. They have a nice bar area and comfy chairs, TVs, music but not too loud. The staff were nice. Parking sucks now in that area but they have plenty of paid parking lots.

I came here for dinner with family during the weekday. I ordered the truffle fries to start for the table. For dinner, I ordered a burger and kale salad. I'm not a huge burger girl but this one made me a fan! It was prepared nicely, seasoned well and was a large portion. The kale salad was just ok. The ambiance was very nice and welcoming. I love that the restaurant has its' own lot so you don't have to struggle to find parking but if you go on a busy night, know that the lot is small. Our waitress was very attentive and then the manager came by and gave us a nice surprise dessert! I highly recommend this spot for any occasion as the service is great and the food was very flavorful. I look forward to returning and trying more from the menu

Reading through recent reviews, I see that we are all pretty much tracking on the same opinion of Tavern, unfortunately. We went on opening weekend for dinner and had AMAZING service and loved the cocktails and buffalo cauliflower. 3 of our dishes were cold or made incorrectly so we sent them back and they kindly comped them for us. It was a 'just okay' experience overall but we gave them grace since they had just reopened. I went back last week and we could not get over how incredibly slow the service was. We spoke with 3 or 4 different people (server, assistant, bartender) and somehow still had the slowest service I've experienced in a while. There were a handful of other tables but it was pretty dead and they seemed to have PLENTY of people working - so I have no idea what the issue was. Food was decent -- again, the buffalo cauliflower was a big hit and we devoured every bite. The fries were pretty solid and I liked the thin, crispy texture. 4 of us ordered an espresso martini (with reposado tequila) and they came out *very* light - you could see through mine. I sent it back and let them know they needed to check their espresso; it was almost like watered down, leftover coffee. Our party of 5 was there for over 2 hours and we did not order dessert. It was a disappointing experience overall and I really hope they can turn things around. Again, it seems that we are all pretty much on the same page with the way things are going.

What a neighborhood jewel this place is. I was visiting town and staying nearby looking for breakfast/brunch options and casually walked by and decided to give it a try. They have great brunch cocktail options, as well as standard breakfast fare with their own unique twists. Sit outside if you have the option and enjoy the cute patio.

Newly renovated and opened, the inside was super open and bright. We sat at the bar and were greeted immediately by the bar back. The bartender was very friendly and helpful. The drinks were really good and the Eden was super refreshing. The toast was so good! The spread, the kale, the berries, all mixed together were the perfect combination. The hash was just okay. It was pretty dry, but I'm thinking an over easy egg might help with that.

We love Tavern! Every time we're in town we stop here for brunch! I had the kale salad and the hashbrown bowl. My brunch drink of choice is the spicy bloody mary and it did not disappoint. Other food items we ordered included the burger and pizza. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the merriment was flowing.

    Nashville Hot Chicken Benedict

The first time we ate here it wasn't the best experience but we didn't want to give up on this neighborhood gem. We went back for Sunday brunch and it was amazing! We started with a grapefruit rosemary mimosa- yum- I had the Hot Chicken Benedict and my husband had the smash burger. Everything was hot and delicious! I am so happy that we didn't allow a busy Sunday from keeping us from returning. Ps- brunch at the bar looked east for a Sunday Funday!

BAM!! The best burger in town!

Food was delicious. So glad they are back!! we used to come here on a regular basis. The food was great then and it's even better now.

2 years ago, I was SO SAD that Tavern closed. It was my GO TO brunch location (and happy hour!!). I struggle to write this review because my two (yes 2) experiences since the reopen haven't been nearly as positive as my prior experiences. I've gone once for brunch and once for dinner. Here's why my review went from 5 to 2 stars: - The ambiance/vibe has changed. It's moved from casual to a bit upscale in terms of setting. I'm a casual gal! - The sangria wasn't available during the dinner hour. It is available during brunch but there are no drink specials. - Service was a big overbearing and I imagine that they overstaffed for opening weeks. - The burger was awful. Fries were cold. The Tavern Burger is THE staple. It was on a tiny plate. The bun was overpowering everything. It's a no. - The drinks were good though! I can't remember the names of the two we tried but both were great! - The chicken and waffles was nasty. Waffle was hard. Chicken was dry. - They were out of quite a few things on each visit. - The best part - the buffalo cauliflower (as always) I suggest you try it out because it is a staple but hopefully your experience is MUCH better than mine. In that case, I may try it again. Otherwise, it's a no for now.

There was no live music available at the time, but they did have a DJ which I thought was spinning the turntable rather well. It's my bad that I didn't also catch on that his is basically a Tequila Bar, rather than a more general craft cocktail establishment. Judging by the well stocked bar and the word of our waitress, other alcohol and their associated craft creations are available, but it's pretty much off menu and not well into our waitress' repertoire. And yes, Cinco de Mayo was just a few days away. One member of our party just wanted a soft drink, which was not possible that night as their CO2 was down. That did make me wonder whether the non-alcohol drinkers had much to chose from here. I suppose we could have then wandered over to the Redemption Bar at Chief's? Anyway, we're not Tequila Drinkers, and since other drink options appeared to be guesswork, we left towards more traditional mixed drinks (and live music) at a nearby Printers Alley bar. This was a rare night that I really wanted a craft cocktail in a smooth environment, and in the end it just wasn't the same.

Staff at the humidor offered zero guidance or recommendations. We were left to cut and light them ourselves, which would've been fine if every disposable torch in the place wasn't nearly empty or completely out of butane. Nothing says 'premium lounge experience' quite like fighting for a working lighter.
