Had a wonderful birthday dinner with family and friend in a private room downstairs which was very spacious and gave us lots of room to mingle and talk to everyone while appetizers were being served. Dinners were delicious and plentiful. Service was beyond great - Emery was so attentive and friendly, making sure everyone had what they wanted. Cannot say enough kudos. I recently ate dinner here on a Sunday night and it was very loud because we were close to the outside bar area. The moment the game was over the bar cleared out and it was pleasant. Our food was good and the service was good as well. Our waitress was very personable but went missing for pockets at a time which is why I deducted a star. The inside seating wasn't crowded at all as the majority of the people were seated outside along the bar area overlooking the golf course. Went last night with some friends. Originally we were going to hang out side in the bar area. It was quite crowded but we got a seat at the bar. There were 10 of us, around 8 we decided we wanted to eat. Hostess was great and accommodated us. We were seated at a table for 12... then 2 of our group decided to stay at the bar. Waiter was annoyed because his table of 12 became much smaller. . He became very less than attentive and occasionally even rude. Food came in bits and pieces and the quality was not fantastic. We had asked for 2 seperate checks at the beginning he forgot then seemed annoyed when we asked again.... took close to 30 mins to get cashed out... enjoyed the atmosphere but will not eat there again read more

I attended a private party at Tavola on August 30th, 2021. The only food that we enjoyed was the short rib entree, the ravioli appetizer, the cheesesteak egg rolls and the bruschetta. Unfortunately all the other entrees, including shrimp linguini, salmon, and chicken parmesan, as well as the Caesar salad were really disappointing in terms of preparation and cost ($75/person). We brought our own cake because it was a birthday and they said there was a $3 charge to cut our cake. We were supposed to have outdoor seating for our party of nine, but we were seated in a private indoor room instead. In a community which is primarily white it felt as though we were being hidden away in a back room because we are Black. Our server told us that we could get up to go the bar for our drinks. The bartender service was impersonal and discourteous. Overall, the experience was exclusionary and the food was not worth the price. read more

This was possibly the worst meal I've had out in about 20 years.The prosciutto pizza was cold and stale. The prosciutto was thick, fatty, and overly salty that I had to remove it all from the pizza. The burger was frozen and the brioche bun was stale. The thick fries served with it were cold and terrible. The prices were outrageous for the sub par food. I am literally the least picky eater and never write reviews , but I was so confused by this experience that I had to share it. This place was nothing but a courtyard and should be called that. Hosted an after-funeral luncheon here for family. Lovely setting on a sunny Fall day, with a great view of the golf course. The menu has a nice variety of options - something for everyone. Most of all, I really appreciate the positive, flexible "can-do" attitude of the people working there, from reservation to servers, even when we asked to rearrange tables. There was no hint of negativity, but rather a consistent effort to make our luncheon together a wonderful time. Highly recommend Tavola. read more

This is my second and last review about this place. My husband and I showed up with no reservation at 4:30pm asking the hostesses politely if they could accommodate us. The whole place was 80% empty but they looked at us as if we were asking the impossible. No attempt to accommodate us at a different time, no smile, customer service inexistent. We ended up sitting ourselves indoors by the bar, which was also empty. Average food, average service as well, they charge automatically 20% gratuity...Easy to see why the staff doesn't make any effort. read more

Total fail for Mother's Day brunch...should have checked Yelp first. $230 for 7 people. Before you get all excited thinking what a bargain (not really), there's a reason it's so cheap. This must be where the Country Club makes the bulk of its money once a year because seriously this brunch is run like a mass market cafeteria. 'Check In' was a giant line literally 100+ people long. You give them your name, you pay and they give you a ticket. I felt like I was at my high school reunion. After you pay, you get shuffled off to the right to have your party wait to be seated. This would be fine in a classy establishment, except 5 other parties of 6+ are also waiting to the right. This turns the 'waiting to the right' line into a giant second mass cattle car of waiting, just like check in. At some point we were asked to move to the left to wait. We move off to the left. And were asked to move around a bit again so that they could get the chairs set off to the sides. I mean seriously, figure out where you want people to wait and then seat them vs shuffling them around. Poor logistics. Poor execution. Finally we get led to our table. Which is... 2 too-small round tables placed next to each other...one of them was higher than the other so the tables didn't even align properly. Really? We asked to be re-seated to one of the other tables that actually could hold 7-8 without looking cobbled together. First gal gave us some song and dance, but thankfully whoever was in charge said no problem we'll reseat you. Again, this should not be that hard. We were one of the smaller parties there. The staff was in a flurry, with everyone rushing around, working hard. The brunch is not even in the restaurant itself, I assume it is what passes for a giant wedding reception kind of hall for the country club. Think lots of 80's arched windows and double paned glass that has lost its seal, leaving streaky watery marks down the windows. The noise level in this place got to ear-splitting decibels, you could easily have been at a local kiddie cafeteria. No private luncheon vibes going on here, you knew at all times that you were amongst a couple hundred of your closest friends. Coffee cups on the tables were dirty, smudged and smeared. Awesome staff got us new ones. I got apple juice for my son promptly and once the coffee was served, it was actually very good. One point. The food...well it's a buffet that goes on for hours and hours. Keep your expectations low. The only positives at this thing were the fresh fruit, the crab cakes (surprise, they were amazing, barely fried and 99% crab), the bacon and sausage, and the carrot cake on the dessert table. Everything else was meh meh meh or total crap. The scrambled eggs were comical, the potatoes were cold, the stuffed shells were cold and congealed and the chipped beef (What the heck is that anyway) looked regurgitated. On our way out, used the restroom, in which we discovered that almost every stall was out of toilet paper. I could be at your local rodeo in a porta-potty at this point...the experience was so disappointing. I mentioned to a lady in charge that she might want to look into refilling the paper and she just stared at me. Guess she's loving her job. Overall, total and complete miss. Bad on me for not checking Yelp and getting seduced by Tavolas slick looking website with pretty pictures of their 'outdoor seating' which led my SIL and myself to be imagining some swank, secluded, beautiful-view-laden Mother's Day brunch that we'd be proud to take our families too. Good thing is that we won't be back next year. I cannot believe this thing is as popular as it is, surely not everyone is new in town, our only excuse, and a lame one at that really. read more

I've eaten on the inside before, but yesterday was my first time on the outside patio. It took several minutes before anyone came to seat us, and funny enough I made reservations, but we clearly didn't need them judging by the lack of customers. We were seated without menus, and we received them a minute or two later. The menu isn't huge, but has at least a good choices for the everyday guest. What's weird to me is the fact that some of the meals come with fries, and others do not. They were only priced a $1 or $2 higher with the fries, so why not offer an up charge to avoid chips? We received our drinks quickly, however, the bruschetta took quite a while to receive, and we ended up getting our meals while still enjoying the super fresh and very delicious appetizer. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich (add mayo, please!), and my husband ordered a burger. As soon as our food was put down, we realized that we didn't have fries with either meal and my chicken had no mayo on it. Again we waited until the server came back and I asked, "wasn't our meals suppose to come with fries?", to which she remarked, "you didn't get any?" Did she think we had eaten them all up, disposed of the proof they were ever there, and then preceded to get some more for free? My husband enjoyed the burger, and half of my chicken sandwich, as I couldn't quite enjoy it for the fact that the chicken was a huge hunk, rather than a thinner piece that would be more easy to chew. Visited: Saturday - June 11, 2016 - 9PM We ordered a Prosciutto pizza and a couple drinks. The drinks arrived within a reasonable time; the pizza was a bit of a wait but, we were not in a hurry or very hungry. The service was overwhelmingly superior. Despite many patrons, the server returned to our table as if we were the sole diners on the oversized patio. The pizza was in fact, flatbread. It lacked flavor. I applied a light dusting of salt. There was no improvement. Three stars for the food and service with an additional star for ambience. As I've said, "the main draw to Tavola is NOT the food but the outdoor patio". Ok went here the other day. We were advised that they just redone the outside. All new seating area and seating arrangements. They had couches with fire pits and burning tourches around. Very nice and cute, the bar was a good size under a big roof with tv's. We were told the resturant inside was just redone too. Good girly drinks about $8.50 each, I had the mango coconut crazy, which was made with ice cream and very yummy. Lots of whip cream and shreddad coconut on top. We liked all of our drinks, good size and made well. We only got appetizers and they weren't priced to badly. We got nachos and also a pizza which they allowed us to switch out mushrooms for peppers. Both were quite good. You got about 8 small slices of the pizza. Since it was a new set up and you could tell because the waiters had no idea were the food they had was going. We were asked twice if something was ours and we said no. Also I did ask for a water refill and plates and never got them. Another issue I had is a golf ball flew by and hit a woman in the hand. I really think they need to do something to prevent that. The golf course is right there so not sure how they can prevent it. I liked the place even with those little issues . Now even though the appetizers and things like pizza, burgers etc were priced reasonably, the actual entres were a little pricier , around $20-$25 bucks. They're building a marriot right there , the resturant is somewhat attached. I think it will make a great place for the hotel guest and anyone else. read more

Sometimes the best local finds are the ones that you run into accidentally, and Tavola will be classified in that category for my wife and I. We had been meaning to try it out since last year, but after a nice spa day for her, and some free drinks coupons from the spa, we decided to have a late weekday lunch there. Tavola fit the bill and then some, but our experience was definitely at an off peak time as opposed to lunch or dinner rush. Atmosphere - Lots of warm brown tones with splashes of orange, Tavola really captures a dark, warm feel. The patio and bar outside were open, although with some light construction work and a crisp fall day, we chose to eat inside after a spa day. A large back bar separates the main dining room from the bar and doors also open up to the patio, which I'm guessing is fantastic in the late spring/early summer season. Waitstaff - Our waitress Jen was very friendly and pleasant, and with the time of day we went over, we were one of the only customers. She made some good recommendations for food and drinks, and was quick to make sure our coupons were honored and that we were able to have a great first experience. Food - Bullseye on the beverages! Wife and I are big mojito fans, and their mojito is incredibly good (very surprised with how fresh the mint was!). Wife went with the blackberry mojito which had a different taste, but also pretty good and couldn't beat the price of free. No apps here, although the cheesesteak egg rolls are a definite try next time we go back. Wife had the fish tacos which were two, extremely large ones full of fresh fish and cabbage. She didn't need to eat dinner they were that filling, and delicious. I went with the buffalo chicken panini which was also very good. Really flavorful Buffalo sauce and a great mix of blue cheese made this a perfect lunch sized portion. Fries were pretty standard fare, but went well with both of our meals for splitting. Intangibles - Jen mentioned that they have a great brunch on Sundays, may be a fun place to take the mother in law or meet the family next time they come out our way. Could see this place being mobbed with people on Fridays in the summer, especially with the country club next door. Kind of hard to find, but you need to pass the country club, but look before the hotel. Great for folks staying out this way or attending a wedding, really has the all in one aspect nailed down if you're looking for a place out here (spa/hotel/reception site/rehersal dinner) and a church is not 1/4 mile down the road. Overall - Tavola is a new somewhat local favorite that we'll be trying again soon. Food was pretty good and prices are reasonable, just hope we can luck out the same way as our impromptu visit was so we can again enjoy the atmosphere and dining in a pretty relaxed atmosphere. read more

Our lunch at Tavola was a really nice way to spend an afternoon. We sipped prosseco under an umbrella on their expansive veranda, and were treated well by our own server, and several others who passed by and refilled our waters and cleared our plates throughout the meal. We tried the Mediterranean platter as an appetizer, and it came loaded with fresh house made hummus, warm pita, crumbled feta, roasted red peppers, sliced cucumbers and plenty of olives. I enjoyed a Cobb salad as my entree, but would have loved if it were tossed a little better and had a better lettuce to "good stuff" ratio. A friend and I have had lunch here three times during the pandemic. Sanitation and social distancing practices were good. Our table was large enough for two people to be safely distanced from one another. A bag is provided for diners to store their masks while eating, and wait staff wear masks. Tables are spread out so we never felt uncomfortable being too close to other diners. We chose salads for lunch and they were delicious. The Bloody Mary's were generous sizes and super yummy. Similar to other yelpers my party experienced incredibly slow service. The food wasn't horrible- wasn't the best. Sometimes at a casual outdoor bar you don't mind slow service. I still had one of the worst meal experiences at Tavola- here's why: We opted to go for happy hour on a Friday and pick up an early dinner. When we arrived the hostess asked us for a reservation. When we told her we did not have one she scoffed, looked over her should and said "I'll be right back, need to check with my manager to see if I can fit you in." She left for about 3 minutes then returned and said, "we have a table that faces the wall, is that ok." A little confused we looked at the nearly empty patio but we were hungry and wanted to try it out so we agreed. We were shown to the strangest table (long rectangle with two individuals on each end and one individual in the middle). As promised the table did not face the golf course, rather it looked directly at the cinderblock wall of the Marriott Courtyard. To top it all off, there was a small outdoor speaker located at the base of the wall that made communication nearly impossible. We stayed and it was horrible. There was a special on margaritas so I order one and got the most vile cheap alcohol / margarita mix I've ever tasted in my life- it didn't even have salt around the rim. As we ate the restaurant did slowly fill but by the time we were finishing our meal (about 90 minutes later after waiting nearly 50 for our food) the "please wait to be seated area" the restaurant was till only at half capacity. I laughed to myself as I ate my ice cream egg roll dessert (actually pretty good- the best part of the meal). Anyone who makes a reservation for Tavola needs his / her head examined. read more

We sat outside since it was still nice out and the view was gorgeous, along with the patio itself. Contrary to everyone else's bad reviews, I enjoyed a nice lunch on a beautiful Friday afternoon. The patio has excellent seating overseeing the gold course. Awesome outdoor bar!! Definitely a hot spot on the weekends however had to give them four stars because parking is sparse. However if you're a frozen drink lover this place is for you! The selection is minimal but sure to please as I've tried them all (prickly mango daiquiri is my personal favorite). For a busy Saturday night, the service was quite impressive and the music was GREAT! I have a pet peeve about great bars with poor music but this mix was appropriate for all ages! The food is wildly overpriced. A ten inch personal pizza is 15 bucks. Side of onion rings is 7 bucks. The bar food is very decent, the regulars tell me that the dinners are not good. I came here on a Monday evening so it was quiet and cozy. Sat at the outdoor bar and had a glass of wine and a corona. For food I shared the cheesesteak spring rolls with ketchup, these shrimp apps with bacon (can't remember the name ), crab cakes and their prosciutto pizza. I think the best dish by far were the crab cakes. I was not a fan of the dough on the prosciutto pizza but the ingredients were just about right. Ended the night with a cheesecake - it was like a cheesecake filled cannoli, or in other words, devine! Ron the bartender was very friendly, and the staff was very present.
