Wow, I am actually surprised and impressed, this chicken kabob wrap is amazing delicious. Idk what this sauce is but it's not the traditional garlic paste...it's really good!! And to think I started to leave the parking lot and go somewhere else. I will definitely be back!! I would've gotten a pic but I ate too fast, maybe

Only the very best Ma n Pa Middle Eastern Food Downriver, has hundreds of regular customers. We've been a dozen plus times to eat inside the quaint dining room. They do a mega amount of take out business from open till close. Dad a Master Chef with decades of experience, Mom runs front of house and adding her special recipes. Ordered our favorite platter for 2 truly feed's 4 easy, lots of leftovers. The platter be Kafta, Chicken Tawook, Lamb Kabob, Chicken Breast on a bed of Rice with veggies. Also Hummus, Toum, Tahini, Fatoush Salad and Bread. She added a bowl of Lentils Soup for the Win. Such a sweet couple treating all customers like family. Great busy location on Ecorse road in Taylor, you really must try. LOVE this hidden gem, a must-go when I'm home for the holidays. Never had a bad meal and the owners are very kind.

Too much competition for them to operate this way. Chicken Shawarma was dry yet loaded with oil that seeped all the way through to the rice.

Loved the chicken shawarma! I've had it from other places, but you can't beat the texture and ratios of this one in my opinion.

In town for work. Common recommendation is the solid Middle Eastern food scene…read more Saw this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try. There's a parking garage in the rear and plenty of spots. I did enter through the rear of the establishment since I parked there. The menu is pretty extensive. Ended up getting the half order of hummus. A basket of warm pita and two sauces came out. I initially thought that was the pita. This was complimentary I believe. The garlic sauce is solid. The other one is a spicy sauce of some sort. This spicy one was super good. The hummus came out. Very smooth and flavorful. For my entree, I got the Shish Kafta. You can choose between lamb or chicken. I went with the chicken with a side of rice and my choice of soup or salad. I opted for the lentil soup. That came out piping hot. This was delicious. Flavorful and good texture. My entree came out and wow. The portion is way more than what you pay for. Came with 4 very huge blocks of chicken kefta. Nicely seasoned and grilled to perfection. Had a nice char on the outside, but still juicy on the inside. I used the two sauces from earlier to give it an extra kick. I washed it all down with a mint lemonade. This was absolutely refreshing. Clean place, very good food and the customer service was solid.

One guy seated at a booth on the phone and two ladies with their suitcase at another booth. Other than the 3 people, place was empty. Ordered carry out. crushed lentil bowl, chicken kafta, two sides: small hummus, small baba ghanouj, large fattoush salad with no pita. $38.13 Food takes about 15 minutes to be ready. Drove all the way back to the office. My chicken kafta looks to be lamb, not at all what I ordered. My large fattoush is covered in pita chips. Had to spend several minutes getting every pita chip out of the salad. It's good I am not allergic to gluten. They shove the dressing packet in the corner of the salad, so you get a bit less, that and the pita chips. Other than that, the salad was fine. I am quite disappointed the order is not right! The crushed lentil soup has a lot of rice in it, which is just filler to me. Has some clumps of something, may be rice and starch? It's too inconvenient to drive all the way back. Do be sure to check your carry out order before you leave the place. The crushed lentil is quite bland, not much flavor to it. Tastes some fennel, quite a few clumps of starch. The soup is more rice than lentil. I could count on one hand how many traces of lentil was in my bowl of soup. What in the world? My husband ate the lamb kafta, since I don't eat red meat. He said it was so-so, but rather dry.
