Overall, I think this is a solid option for food. Not necessarily the best, but not terrible by any means. I've had better Mediterranean food, but for a chain restaurant, it's decent enough. I ordered the Greek salad with lamb. The lamb was a little tough, but in general the salad was fine and much larger than I expected. I placed an order for pickup through their website. The process was easy, and the food was ready in about 30 minutes. Parking can be a bit challenging, but I was lucky to find two open spaces next to the patio. The employees were nice and helpful. My food was ready and bagged up with plastic utensils upon my arrival. I'm not a huge fan of styrofoam to-go containers, so hopefully one day they will switch to something more sustainable. read more

Instead of whipped feta, i have been given taziki dip with honey drenched on top. Let me tell you... the combination is DISGUSTING! We ordered the grilled chicken roll-up, grilled beef tenderloin, chargrilled lamb, and grilled shrimp. From the photos, you will be able to tell that the Greek salads took up more of the plate than the actual entrees. That's never a good sign. Additionally, the grilled shrimp entree consisted of 8 small shrimps. That is not $12.49 worth of food. The flavoring of the meats was tasty and for the most part, universal throughout so I'm not sure if the same seasoning is used for all the entrees. This Birmingham-based Greekish restaurant chain has really been booming. Taziki's apparently has locations in Colorado now, wow. Amusingly enough, this location in Auburn is adjacent to Mountain High, another establishment from Birmingham. I've been to various Taziki's around Alabama, and it's always a safe bet to appeal to a group, whether it be friends, family, or coworkers. At this spot, the dining area can get loud if there are shrieking kids but what can you do. Order at the counter and then seat yourself. If you can't decide, you can't go wrong with a gyro, particularly chicken or lamb. These pita-blanketed guys come with your choice of side: rice, fruit, tomato cucumber salad, pasta salad, and potatoes. The tomato cucumber salad is my go-to! Wish the portions were slightly bigger, oh well. Some friends and I shared a dinner for four recently, getting the lamb. The lamb was a bit tough and chewy but still good, excellent with the addictive thick skordalia sauce (think garlic, vinegar, oil). The Greek salad was fresh, colorful, and tasty, with non-skimpy amounts of roasted red peppers, feta, red onions, cucumbers, Kalamata olives, and pepperoncini. Rice or potatoes (we got the potatoes) round off the meal. Call a few hours ahead if you want to pick up this meal deal. In general, Taziki's is a little overpriced for the quantity you get but the food is flavorful and tasty. Try to go at off-peak times since I've been told that the parking situation can be non-existent. A Taziki's is opening up in Tiger Town too, so keep an eye out for that. read more

I came here for lunch on Wednesday and was blown away by the deliciousness of my meal: grilled salmon with a side of salad & rice. I was initially unsure if my seafood would be good, but I was blown away by how amazing it was. My salmon was PERFECTLY charred, crispy & smoky on the outside and tender & flaky on the inside. The portion size was also gigantic and I could not have asked for a more fulfilling meal. The salad was fresh and the rice was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Blown into town by Hurricane Matthew waiting to see what happens to my home in Brunswick GA. Stumbled into Tajikistan for a gyro. I do consider myself a gyro affictionado. The young but very nice clerk took my order recommending the lamb. WOW This was the absolute best lamb I have ever had iny life. You could of spent twice as much at a high priced restaurant and not had better lamb. It was so juicy and tender, in a sauce with roasted tomatoes and other veggies. Not your traditional gyro, only better! In addition to the gyro I had two sides, cucumber and tomatoes salad and sliced fruit both were quality products. I hope this is a chain or has franchises. This is my go to restaurant for salads when I'm in Auburn. I can never go wrong with their Mediterranean styled salmon salad. The salmon is cooked upon order, and the cut of salmon is typically fresh from what I have experienced. The fish is always seasoned appropriately as well. Last night I had a horrible experience here. I called in my order because I had a meeting to go to so I wanted to pick it up and go. They told me on the phone that my order would be ready in 15-20 minutes. When I got to the restaurant, it was chaos! There were about 50 people standing around waiting for their food, not to mention people at tables also waiting. I ended up missing my meeting (which I was required to attend) because it took over an hour to get my food. I also witnessed two employees complaining and asking to go on break, while one of them just played on their phone. I was very disappointed as I've always had decent experiences here. Absolutely do not order from this Tazikis. I pre-ordered delivery for about 15 people in advance. When I called to confirm about 3 hours before it was supposed to be delivered it took 3 people to find my order. Then about 10 minutes AFTER it was supposed to be delivered, I called and they told me that it was almost ready but they didn't have a driver and asked me if I had a driver? I finally just went and picked it up myself and it STILL wasn't ready when I got there 30 minutes after it was supposed to be delivered to me, and when I got there my delivery driver was there waiting too! It didn't end up being ready until over 30 minutes after it was supposed to be delivered and I received 2 more calls in the next hour from 2 more drivers that had gone to pick my order up and Tazikis told them it had already been picked up. Absolutely unacceptable and will never order from them again. Terrible inconvenience for door dash drivers and for me. They weren't even busy in the restaurant. This was our first visit. One I the managers saw us standing in the entrance waiting to be seated and explained the ordering process. Order first, pay, get a number, pick up your drinks and find a seat. Your order is delivered to your table. The staff were all extremely helpful and they did it all with smiles. I was looking for Vegan Fare and while thinking I was going to settle for Chipotle, I came across this place by chance. I ordered the Grilled Veggie Plate, with hummus and mixed pita chips (soft and baked). Chipotle Who!? The food was perfectly cooked and seasoned just right. They staff were very helpful in making sure my food was meat and cheese free. Hummus was creamy and very flavorful.
