The food, like at any TC Landos, is phenomenal. That is, if you get your correct order. The service is quite poor and very disorganized at the Hudson location. It rarely seems like they have enough people to answer the phones, run the register, and make the food. Phone calls get dropped when you order. I had to wait 15 minutes just to PICK UP the takeout order I had already called in and waited the 20 minutes they said it would take as well before going there. Then the order was wrong, but i wasn't going to wait to see how long it would take to fix it. Not a reliable place to order from. Clinton Tc Landos has much better seevice. read more

The food is very good, but the service is severely lacking. On my last trip there, I waited for about 5 minutes before I was told that they were only making cold subs. I've called before in the middle of the day to pace an order, yet the phone is not picked up. They advertise 1 pound large steak and cheese subs. The last few times I've ordered a large steak and cheese from Lando's, I've gotten about HALF that..I have eaten at their sister restaurant "Carl's" in Waltham a few hundred times, so my expectations are really high. The first handful of times I went to Lando's the experience was very similar to Carl's, so I gave it a 5 star. Since then, I've had a few not so great experiences so I'm lowering my rating a bit. When you order a steak and cheese at Carl's, its' busting with steak overflowing out of the bun. That's where they've made their name and why they can charge premium prices. About 50% of the time I've gotten a steak and cheese at Lando's, it's been just a regular amount of steak like you would get at any other sub shop. When you charge 9-10 dollars for a sub, that's just unacceptable. A few of those times my order was incorrect as well: ordered Terriyaki steak one time, but just got regular, ordered peppers and onions, only got onions, etc. They need to start lowering their prices if the are going to keep making average size subs, or they need to start packing them full of more meat to justify the cost. read more

My boyfriend and I have had T. C. Lando's a few times, and it's not worth the money unless you are getting the sandwiches (which my boyfriend loves). The vegetarian burrito is disgusting, the margarita pizza is subpar, and the appetizers are very average. The only thing decent thing I've had from there were the quesadillas. We ordered the calzones last night, and while huge, were very disappointing. My boyfriend ordered a pepperoni one, and his was stuffed so full of ricotta cheese so that it was oozing out everywhere and he could hardly taste anything else. I ordered an eggplant and spinach one, and the eggplant was breaded! There was hardly any spinach or sauce in mine (we ended up opening a jar of pasta sauce to dip the calzones in), and all I could taste was the fried breading of the eggplant. T.C. Landos has been my favorite sub shop ever since the first time my dad brought me there. From the outside it honestly doesn't look like much at all and the inside of the sub shop doesn't help that. The inside is a very simple design with wooden booths and a t.v. here and there. Not to mention it's a very small place but it makes sense because there isn't usually anyone else in there eating whenever I go. Of the four to five different locations it is usually convenient for me to go to the Hudson, MA location seeing as how I live in Worcester, MA. That's right, I travel all the way from Worcester, MA just to eat at this shop! It can take up to 45 minutes just to get to T.C. Landos from my house but it is well worth the trip. To some the price may be a little steep but you get more than what you pay for. For a large sub and a bottle of soda it totals at just under 10 dollars. The reason for this is that the sandwich is over a foot long! You can get a footlong sub and a drink at Subway for around the same price but the quality is so much better here. The wait time for your meal is a little long depending on how many people are there and calling in for deliveries but it's well worth the wait. Whenever my dad goes he gets the terryaki steak and cheese; my second favorite sandwich on the menu. They pack so much meat into it that it is literally falling out of the roll when you take it out of its tin foil wrapping. Do they have to do that? Not at all! But this makes sure you're definitely going to be back. Sometimes it's even hard to finish a large sub. Anyways, when you take a bit out of the terryaki steak and cheese it makes you drool over the taste. The meat is so tender and juicy with all of the flavoring that it's hard not to drool. My favorite sandwich here is "The Budster." A perfect combination of a sandwich containing chicken strips, barbecue sauce, bacon, and provolone cheese! I am not a fan of any cheese but the addition of it in this sandwich makes no difference to me. I would suggest this to anyone who loves chicken and is looking for a sandwich that will surely test them to see if they can finish it. The chicken strips are as long as the roll, which is over a foot, and the chopped up bacon covers every inch of it! The mouth-watering taste is unbeatable anywhere else. T.C. Landos is the best sub shop I've ever been too and I recommend it to anyone who is looking for their new favorite place to eat. I wish they would just close this location. At least once a month I get fooled into thinking that maybe it will be good this time and my order will be right - only to be disappointed time and time again. I am finally done with this place though. Last night I was exhausted so I ordered a steak & cheese for me as well as a bacon cheeseburger sub PLAIN for my son. I was told 20 minutes and knowing the cheeseburger usually takes a while I arrived pretty close to the 20 minutes, except it took 45 minutes. When I dared to question why it was taking so long, the attitude behind the counter told me that it had only been 20 minutes. Clearly the time stamp on my phone said otherwise, but perhaps she's unaware that phones actually state the time you called. The place was out of napkins. Customers were walking up to the counter with food all over themselves and she refused to go look for any until she was done talking to the rest of the staff. Then I get home and my son's sub is anything but plain; it was loaded with every condiment from there to Marlborough. So I made him dinner after all. This is by far my favorite place to get subs. There steak subs are amazing but equally as good are there chicken subs. For steak subs I like the steak and cheese with bacon. It is simple but amazing and the portions are huge. A large sub can easily be split between two people but with how good it is you may not want to. But you wont go wrong with any of the steak subs there. The Kama-kazi which has steak, pepperoni, Italian sausage, hickory smoked bacon, imported ham, BBQ sauce and provolone cheese is fantastic as well. My favorite chicken sub is the buffalo bomber Which is the best buffalo chicken sub I have ever has. My other favorite is the budster which is chicken cutlet, bacon, BBQ sauce and provolone cheese. If you want to try something other than subs. You can also try one of their specialty pizzas. The pizza is thin and always great but just like their subs, the pizza sizes are huge as well. Let me start by saying I am a fan of T.C. Lando's, and I will continue to give them my business regardless of some negatives. Alright, down to business. The food is great (As far as your local pizza/grinder eatery goes.) Obviously, their classic steak 'n cheese subs (and the MANY variations they come in) are the biggest draw. On multiple occasions I have overheard customers waiting in line with me that they have traveled from out of town just to get the steak subs. The type of steak sub you prefer is what will determine whether or not you think these subs are worthy of their so called fame. First of all, the steak itself is small little stringy shavings. The cheese is melted throughout the meat, and it usually comes with white american. The roll is very soft, and even if you ask for the roll toasted, it's not guaranteed to come toasted. However, I highly suggest just ordering it the way they want you to eat it, because it is VERY yummy. I supose the phrase "melt in your mouth" could be used. Other than subs, they have pretty damn good boneless buffalo tenders, very saucy and always comes with a good size of blue cheese and celery. They have great pizza, surprisingly yummy burritos that come with extra salty fried tortilla chips, pretty good quesadillas, and really good seasoned french fries. I would not recommend getting a salad. Especially the buffalo chicken salad... they don't make it the normal way!!! The chicken is grilled and cold, and the buffalo sauce is more like a watered down hot sauce than the buttery good stuff. I have been in the company of 3 people on difference occasions who have ordered this and been really dissatisfied. Another negative thing is that the chances of getting your order wrong is about 20%. It is important to check your food before you leave the take-out area. Speaking of the take-out area, it is a mob scene on Friday, Saturday nights. Sometimes other week-nights too. The cashier will NOT be paying attention to who comes in to pick up food, or who has been waiting the longest etc.... I have waited for 20 minutes before, even after being LATE to pick up my food. Basically the people behind the counter don't have great customer service skills, and you need to be vocal with them. Overall it's a place everyone should go to at least once, and you'll probably end up hooked on at least something from their menu. read more

The past 5 times we have have ordered take out our order has been incorrect. We get the food home and either a topping is missing on the pizza, it's the wrong order or part of the order is missing. We thought we'd give it one more try. Last night we ordered a salad with grilled chicken. I actually asked my husband "are you sure you want to order from them?" I heard him repeat the order twice, "salad with grilled chicken". I laughed out loud when he brought my salad home and you guessed it, no chicken. We have taken our food back in the past (when we noticed the error in the restaurant or on the way home) and after receiving a bit of an attitude by staff members the problem was taken care of. We didn't feel like dealing with the poor attitudes again and let this one go. We will not be ordering from TC again. read more

I just orderd a hamburger pizza dining in. The female counter girl showed it to me when cooked, and she offered to make another because it was burn't (edges charcoal). The remake had brownish pieces of something on top. It also had bright white streams that looked like the contents of a tube of toothpaste squeezed all over it (same consistency). I took one bite and spit it out. Other people must feel the same since I was the only person eating at lunch time, or perhaps the sub zero temperature in the dining area keeps people away. I actually really like the pizza here, but the delivery stinks, and not in that good, smells-like-fresh-pizza way. Ours didn't arrive after an hour (we were told 45 minutes), so we called in to check up and the sales-person explained that it was on its way. We waited, and waited, and waited. My thumbs gave out - my husband had to twiddle them for me. My stomach could rumble no longer - we even tried a playback experiment to incite some activity, but it was over and out. We called back after 1 hour and forty-five minutes. The line was dead. The delivery guy finally called us only to inform us that he was still in Berlin, many miles away. We started discussing which one of us would have to be sacrificed for dinner, but miraculously found some baked beans in the pantry. Thanks, a lot, TC Lando! The fart poison to which I was subjected all night as a result has been permanently etched into my memory... along with your pizza delivery service! read more

Honest Review. This place lags way behind the one in Clinton, which i would give 4 stars. The place is Clinton is always on point and go above and beyond with their food. The place in Hudson is decent, but it feels like any other pizza shop, does not really do the tc landos name justice. The first time i was here, picked up my order 15 minutes after i gave the order, burrito was cold and soggy. Be careful if you schedule for a later time, like 2 hours from now, they will make it now anyways and hold it until u pick up. They also skimp on chips with sour cream sometime, but not a hug problem. The second time the burrito was on point, no complaints. The third time i went, last night, i now have food poisoning, man i am done with this place. I will take the extra drive to Clinton, where service and food are only better, but most importantly CONSISTENT. When Hudson is point it is good, but you never know what your going to get. If your a college student like i am, its a little rough to waste $10 like nothing. Especially since i am willing to go father and spend more to go to a tc landos. I will give this place another chance, but not right now, considering i have food poisoning, maybe later, my business will go to the Clinton store from now on, shame because i feel like this place does churn out good food, but its always a coin flip if you do or not. read more
