The Peach brown sugar matcha had a subtle sweet taste and the Dande-Lemon matcha was very refreshing that I could taste some of the dandelion and hint of lemon. Noble makes the syrups which is amazing since a lot of coffee shops use generic popular syrups and sauces. The last time I stopped by I had a lavender latte which was good and not overwhelmingly strong or soapy tasting like other places. If you haven't stopped, I highly recommend you do. They have above and beyond customer service, great drinks, ample space to drink, read, eat, meet-up, meetings and or just grab a drink to go.

I'm not someone who plays the victim or jumps to conclusions, but it was clear we weren't being treated with the same respect as other customers. We came in ready to spend money and support the store, but after her nasty attitude, we decided to leave without buying anything. Honestly, I don't know if this woman is unhappy with her life and just straight up bitter with who she is, but that's no excuse to take it out on customers. If she doesn't know how to interact with people respectfully, she shouldn't be working in a customer-facing job! It's disappointing to see that this kind of behavior is still happening. Hopefully, the owner takes notice--no one deserves to be treated that way just for shopping.

Just charming. The kids section is pure magic! Whomever designed it did it thoughtfully. There's a top shelf that really paints the picture. It has an umbrella with clouds on it, along with crowns and swords. It just makes you want to hang out in this room all day. And this room is filled with stories waiting to be told. Books waiting to be read. Chairs waiting for children to sit in them. Just lovely!

I love that they partner with local businesses and display local goods in the store. There's usually parking in the front and side of A House with Books. I perused their stickers and picked up a couple of them. They also have plants for sale near where seating for Casi Cielo is. I ordered the apple cider donut and the London fog (Jane Austen inspired). The cider was crunchy and sweet which paired well with the London fog. There's a beautiful story behind Casi Cielo and I enjoyed meeting the co-owner Marisa. I look forward to my next visit to A house with books.

She chatted about life, music, history, answered audience questions, and of course, she played some music!! I bought her book, "Go Back and Fetch It," and was delighted that she took the time to sign it (as she was running late for her soundcheck). This bookstore is beautiful (see video) and has so many offerings (besides books), some of which you will only find here. The owner and employees are very nice and patient. They were super busy today as lots of folks were here, but they were also polite and professional. I took a list of events with me. I will return for events and this is my new gift spot. ALL folks on the "nice list" will receive gifts I purchase here :-)

Friends of the Keller Library is actually a nonprofit that benefits the local library. Most of the books they sell were donated by people or other stores, and all the profits from the sales go back to supporting the library next door. I've been to other similar stores around the state and was pleasantly surprised at how organized this one is. The volunteers working there were also very friendly and helpful. I also like that they had a station with complimentary coffee for customers. They didn't have the largest selection of books, but the children's section was really nice so I would definitely recommend this place for families. Last but not least, they also had free magazines towards the back of the store which I thought would be great for school projects or vision boards.

The designs and text on everything are pretty simplistic as well. They either say Fort Worth, Cowtown, Funky Town, or Panther City. Some say "est. in 1849," some have a graphic of a cow, longhorns, or a cowboy hat, and a few mention the rodeo. I think the prices make sense for the quality of product. $28 for a t-shirt, $46 for a sweatshirt, $20ish for a hat, $4 for a keychain, $10 for a pint glass, $12.50 for a clay mug, $16 for a candle.
