Tea Amo was okay overall. There was only one employee working, so understandably it was took him a longer time to fulfill the orders. After a long wait, I was able to eat the popcorn chicken. Sadly, it wasn't very crispy so I would not get that again. There were quite a few chicken pieces that were small, so the chicken wasn't that juicy inside. I liked the drinks though. The house fruit tea was refreshing, and came with some strawberries and orange slices. I also got the jasmine milk tea with tiramisu foam, and that was a pretty solid drink.

Date of Visit: 4.4.2026 Location: Escondido/San Marcos Cuisine Type: Cafe Vibe: Spacious and Chill Cost: $$ Service: Friendly Food/ Rating: -3/5- I think the bingsu has amazing texture but the problem is it kinda missed on the actual mangos it is chunky like mango ice blocks. The oreo one is way better but slightly on the sweeter side. The popcorn chicken has good flouring but i wish it was bigger chunks. The croffle looks funny but it is a waffle croissant but it looks like someone took a croissant and smashed it with their fist. Overall Thoughts: Best Thing I ate: I guess the chicken Something to Improve: Prices, use real mangos, and make the croffle actually more crispy Thanks!

Taro Bingsoo, Taro with Creme Brulee

The shop itself has a really cozy, vibe. You can tell it's a local favorite. Service was friendly, and there's a good variety on the menu if you're into both drinks and snacks. The taro bingsoo was super light and fluffy. Not overly sweet, which I actually appreciated. It's definitely a good shareable dessert, especially if you want something refreshing instead of heavy. The taro with creme brulee was the standout for me though. The layers were really pretty, and once mixed, it had that creamy taro flavor with a slight caramelized richness from the brûlée topping. It felt a little more elevated than your typical taro milk tea.

We just finished having Shabu Shabu at Shabuworks and so we were so thirsty afterwards. I searched on Yelp for the nearest Boba and shaved ice place and TEA AMO appeared... BRÛLÉE MILK TEA: 8/10 Not bad and the drink was very thick. It was nice and creamy and more like a dessert... MATCHA LATTE: 7/10 The fragrance was nice but, I could not taste much of the matcha. The milk and sugar was overpowering the matcha. Perhaps the matcha ratio was 30% and milk and sugar were 70% SERVICE: B+ Hardworking and was very focused on work. Not much of a chatterbox but, she got the job done. AMBIANCE: 9/10 Very charming and lovely place to sit, sip and chat at... TEA AMO KEEP ON ROCKN!!!!!

Great little spot in a convenient plaza with plenty of parking! Service was a bit slow. I was a bit disappointed they were already out of popcorn chicken by 6:00 PM, but it gave me a chance to try the House Tater Tots instead. The tots were the absolute highlight of the visit. I also ordered the Taro Milk with Taro Mud. It was decent and hit the spot, though I've had more flavorful versions elsewhere.

Came here for dessert and we got a Mango and Strawberry Bingsoo. Both were delicious and In my opinion large enough to share. It's not icy, it's more of a creamy texture. It's takes more time for them to make this so be patient. Service was friendly. Place was clean and cute.

Went specifically for bingsoo and was not disappointed. It was a perfect treat for a hot day. It was just one employee working in there seemingly doing everything and he was great but I definitely think a second employee would have been good to help with the demand in the store.

I was in the San Marcos area for work and decided to check out this tea shop nearby. The ambiance inside was very nice -- clean, minimalistic aesthetics that made for a chill vibe. No line when we arrived around 3 PM on a weekday, so ordering was quick and easy. We ordered the royal milk tea and jasmine milk tea with boba. The jasmine milk tea at 50% sweetness still felt a bit too sweet for me and honestly had more of a juice-like taste -- the tea flavor didn't really shine through. The boba itself was solid: semi-sweet, chewy, and fresh. We also tried the mango bingsoo, which was excellent. The shaved ice was super light and airy, topped with condensed milk and a cherry. The only real downside was the "fresh" mango, which unfortunately wasn't ripe and ended up being quite bitter -- a bit of a letdown on an otherwise great dessert. Overall: tea was not super impressive, but the bingsoo was solid and worth trying.

Steep Thoughts: Florence's Quest for (Her) Perfect Black Milk Tea Black milk tea: 0.5/2. I got the Royal Milk Tea, 25% sweet. For me, this drink was nothing special. It's very milky and not bitter, but even at 25% sweet, the tea flavor is not particularly strong. Overall a smooth and mild milk tea. The specialty drinks here seem to be more popular overall. Other drinks: 1/1. Lots of fun fruity teas, as well as milk teas, smoothies, and even coffee drinks. Ambiance: 1/1. Pleasant and spacious with plenty of bar and table seating. Good amount of parking. Service: 0.5/1. Order at the counter. Can be a little slower when there is only one worker there, but otherwise drinks come out reasonably fast. Total: 3/5

Daughter was in the mood for a quick sweet drink after practice so came here since they were on our way home. We arrived just before closing and staff was very friendly and sweet. Daughter ordered the taro milk tea. She liked it. She was just sad it didn't have the plastic top to pop the straw right in but still enjoyed it.

They've rebranded (from Oh My Pate) and are now only focusing on drinks and desserts. I got their new Corn Matcha and the Cheese Foam Matcha. At first glance, the color was beautiful! A true vibrant green. At first sip, I was hooked! Strong profile and creamy consistency. Love! Also, their cream tops are really good. I'm quite picky about my foams- most places make it too thin or too milky. I appreciate that all their foams are on the thicker side and have strong flavor notes. The corn foam actually tasted like corn and the cheese foam was actually savory.

The shop itself is on the smaller side, but there's a decent amount of table and bar seating. The parking lot is spacious too, so we had no trouble finding a spot. We ordered the Mango Mochi Matcha, Earl Grey Matcha, and Strawberry Matcha, all at half sugar. The drinks came out pretty quickly considering there were a few people ahead of us and only two employees working. The matcha itself was smooth with more grassy undertones. I usually prefer nuttier matchas, but I still found theirs enjoyable. My main issue was the sweetness. Even at half sugar, both of the fruit matchas were much sweeter than I expected, while the Earl Grey Matcha felt more balanced. I think light sugar would have suited the fruit drinks much better. Overall, I enjoyed the matcha enough that I'd come back, but I'd definitely lower the sweetness next time. I'd also be interested in trying their coffee on a future visit.

We walked in and first impression was that it was a clean, black & white decorated store, blasting hip hop / rap. The cashier was really friendly, chatty, and helped us customize our drinks. We also got a Passionfruit Green Tea with Boba - 0% sweet. Both were perfect. The sweetness from the boba pearls was more than enough for my passionfruit tea and the honeydew melon slush was on point. The walls are decorated with framed black & white photos of hip hop / rap artists. After making our drinks, the cashier quizzed us on our hip hop artist knowledge :) If you grew up in the 80s-90s, this place will take you back to the golden days of hip hop/rap. What a fun twist for a boba shop. I think we found our fave spot in North County!
