OMFGG I missed Vivi's sooo much!! this used to be my go-to spot when I lived in Massachusetts!! The flavor of the Taro Creme Brulee milk tea was actually pretty good, but something about the taro flavor didn't taste fresh or natural to me. It's unfortunate that both of the drinks also had pretty hard boba so it was very chewy and undercooked. The Taro Slush had too much ice, which really diminished the flavor of the taro in the drink and almost made me wonder if it's taro powder flavoring instead of fresh taro. We found this place on Yelp and were fairly impressed with the food choices and how great the popcorn chicken was prepared and tasted. As you can see on the photo, there are several flavors to choose from. We also got Taiwanese sausage which was really yummy and perfectly cooked. The slush drinks were great, although one of our party wanted to have a Passion Fruit slush with less sugar and they told us it was not able to have reduced sugar since it was part of the mix. Overall we enjoyed their boba and many options. The staff were friendly and it was a nice clean restaurant. -------TL;DR------- PROS: easy to get to and parking, good location. Accessibility: there are two disabled parking spots in front of the restaurant a few doors down and the ramp to get onto the sidewalk is there too. The doors to enter this building are two, very wide, pull doors. Inside it is well lit, but the parking lot is dark at night with really no lights. There are wheelchair accessible tables inside with moveable chairs, but no seating outside. Experience: it's super cute inside, the employees are really nice and helpful in explaining what's inside of different drinks, and they made my drinks quickly. The drinks are smaller in size than a few other boba places I have been to and they were a little bit more expensive (by one dollar). The drinks were good, with very soft flavors instead of being intense flavor packed. Very good but not in my top favorite. read more

Okay, we tried this place for some drinks but we were really disappointed with our drinks. We got 4 drinks in total, 2 of which were teas, onw yogurt drink, and a flaming brown sugar milk tea. The drink came out promptly, but what's weird was that the flaming brown sugar drink had a different cap, and they recommended that we mix it before we drink it. BUT the cap was NOT the usual cap that is sealed to the plastic cup. Thus, when trying to cap the drink back and pushing in the big old boba straw, the cup capsized and drink was spilled everywhere :/. Unfortunately, we will never know how this drink tasted since all that was left was the brown sugar at the bottom. The yogurt drink was okay, and of the tea was also okay. However, the other tea that we got, they only had a size large, and it was super sweet. It was just a weird experience for our group, lol. It was refreshing to see a Taiwanese menu and boba at San Marcos, but I'm not sure if we'll be coming back here for our boba needs. The people working there were not the friendlies, but they did get the job done. The ambiance needs some improvement. There were no music, it was dead silent, and it almost seemed like they encouraged you to take your drinks to go. But what matters most are the flavors and do they ever get this right. Many boba or bubble tea shops use way too much sweetener and artificial flavoring; that's not the case here. You'll find each of the teas to be nuanced and authentic in taste, allowing the ingredients' quality to shine. Thus far, I've tried their Taro Milk Tea, Vivi's Bubble Milk Tea, and the Signature Fruit Tea. Each was spectacular! I'm visiting about twice a week now and will continue coming back. It's cute inside with adorable artwork on the wall, friendly service, variety of choices, fresh soft boba, and 10% off for hospital staff. The drink itself was okay. Syrup or powder is being used which you can taste the artificial flavoring and you can see the separation of the powder/syrup from the drink. I ordered the taro slush and and my friend ordered the strawberry slush. I appreciated that the drink wasn't overly sweet. The artificial taste wasn't too obvious in my drink like other places I've tried but I could still taste it. They just opened two weeks ago. They are friendly and welcoming. The boba drinks tasted better than Ding tea and share tea. The best part is they offer popcorn chicken. The only way you can get popcorn chicken with your boba is with bubble tea if the owner is there to cook or all the way in Oceanside. This is a great hang out for my kids and I. We bought their key chains, popcorn chicken both spicy and garlic flavored. The only thing I would say is ask your customer of the level of spice. Some people are sensitive to too much spice.
