We came here for lunch on one of the busiest days of the year for this small town (the manatee festival) and even though they were extremely busy the service was amazing. They got our food to us quickly and our servers were extremely apologetic and kind. They made us a drink we didn't order and gave it to on the house. I took a kayaking tour of Three Sisters Springs and was hungry after, and I fortunately stumbled upon this adorable and unique little spot! The staff were very friendly and helpful, letting me smell different types of teas before concocting my chai latte. The latte, wedge, and scones were all delicious. I got a spicy chai latte and 3 cheese flatbread. Also had a bite of a friend's broccoli quiche. All were really delicious! Spicy chai didn't carry as much of a bite as I was looking for but it was still very good. Flatbread was perfectly cheesy; raspberry jalapeno compote is a brilliant complement to it. My cranberry walnut scone was delicious. Not too dry nor moist, generous with the walnuts. This shop was a great quiet place to plug in a laptop and get some work done. Very friendly staff. We were looking for a restaurant nearby the tea house and realized it was closed. So we decided to see what the tea house had for lunch - I'm so glad we did! We sat outside and ordered the chicken salad with warm croissant- yum!! It's so hard to find chicken salad with no onion and theirs is perfect! We each ordered iced tea and they both were delicious! Amazing Tea House! The tea is delicious and the staff is very knowledgeable. Everything is priced very reasonable as well. Definitely worth stopping in and grabbing some tea. They have food and wine here as well. You can buy their loose-leaf teas in increments of 25 grams from 12 cents per gram, which will get you about 8-12 cups for $3! Horrible slow service. We were seated outside and waited for over 10 minutes for the waitress to bring us menus and a booster seat. We went inside twice to see what was going on and the waitress appeared to be catching up with some people she knew. I can give someone the benefit of the doubt but to leave people sitting outside with no menus and a toddler waiting for a booster seat for over 10 minutes is just not acceptable. Stopped in for a light lunch after visiting Three Sisters Springs. Great choice which we made after reading reviews here. My hubby had Mediterranean salad on artisian bread with red beans and rice. He really enjoyed it. I had their chicken salad with a croissant on the side. It would be nice to have two croissants, one isn't enough to make a sandwich. It was delicious. Some friends and I just tried to eat here with no luck at all. We had just got done with a manatee dive in the area and decided that this place looked really great to eat. We walked in and the server greeted us and asked where we wanted to sit. We chose outside and she brought out menus. She immediately asked 'do you know what you want?' The second after the menus touched our hands. We said that we needed and minute and she said she would be back. We waited 10 minutes and she never returned. We decided to get up and leave and go to the cafe next door. (Which was delicious and had extremely fast and prompt service) It was really disappointing because this place had great reviews and we were really looking forward to it. I dropped in the Tea House today for a late lunch. I'm visiting the area and was very pleased to find such an unique little delight! The staff was friendly and professional. I chose the homemade quiche with white pepper corn chowder.... AMAZING!! I also enjoyed hibiscus ice tea and the outstanding chocolate cherry made fresh scone. Highly recommend this cafe. The teas, scones and service were amazing. We came every day they were open of our weeklong trip to Crystal River. Our only complaint is they aren't open on Sundays! I liked the roobios vanilla chai so much I bought a container of the loose leaf tea with a cute manatee infuser. I had a cranberry walnut scone that they warmed up and it was soooo good! My daughter in law loved her caramel creme brûlée tea. We also enjoyed sitting outside on the porch in front or deck in the back while soaking up the sunshine. Don't go anywhere else. The quality of the products was excellent. It was not a very welcome environment. My family and I were traveling to the area to view manatees for a week and stopped at this establishment and did not feel very welcome. It had the appearance of a "locals only" establishment. Okay. I've never been to a tea house before (unless you count Starbucks) but this one in Crystal River, Florida is adorable. As you walk in, you see a cute store that sell everything from duffel bags to jewelery to post cards. If walk through a large doorway on the right, you will find bar covered with scones and other pastries, as well as shelves littered with different types of teas, lattes, and smoothies. My mom and I had already had lunch and went for strawberry smoothies and chocolate coconut scones. They were amazing! My scone was nice and warm and the smoothie was super creamy with a texture similar to a frapuccino. The staff was super sweet and friendly to us and the other customers. I had the tabouli flat bread and red beans and rice. Flat bread was very fresh and tasty. Small portion, which I like. Ate and felt perfect not over stuffed, not hungry. My husband had turkey panini and chicken noodle soup. Panini was excellent(guys get the whole one!) soup, I'm sorry, good but not quite excellent.
