It was my first time getting boba and I loved it. I personally have sensory issues so I was a bit hesitant to try something so new to me. When I went in the staff greeted me and let me take the time I needed to figure out the menu. They had so many options and they had popping boba as well, it was delicious. I always enjoy finding new boba shops around town! Upon entering, we noticed that we were the only ones there.. the shop was pretty empty but (I assume, the owner) quickly came out and greeted us. I informed her that I'd need a few minutes as this was our first time. She gave us a run down of what they offered and said that they can essentially make any custom drinks you desire! She was very kind and gave us some time to decide what to get. I love a good strawberry matcha so I gave that one a shot and my fiancé had to judge their brown sugar boba. We also went with half a dozen of their mochi donuts to try. It was a gamble as we came around 2pm and slightly worried that they were going to turn out stale (bad experience from another store where they were in fact, so stale). She was the only one working so I sparked some conversation as she made our drinks. This shop is a little over a year old so I am glad it's still thriving! Our drinks quickly came out and were pretty tasty. The strawberries in my matcha had pieces of strawberry in the syrup and wasn't too overly sweet. Pretty refreshing! My fiancé's brown sugar was also on the less sweet side which I can appreciate. The boba wasn't the best, as it wasn't quite chewy.. our teeth just sank into them with not much to chew afterwards. Now, based on the yelp reviews, it doesn't seem like they change out the flavors of mochi donuts. There were probably around 8 different flavors. To my surprised, they were still so soft and fluffy!! The outside wasn't too crisp as it probably sat a bit, but they were not stale at all. We had some the day after as well, and they were still so so soft and fluffy! The flavors were pretty light and not too overpowering. I am just pretty satisfied with the texture of the donuts. Overall, the owner was so sweet and kind and offered great treats. Recently tried Tea Method, and was so pleasantly surprised! It is VERY good. The owner was present, and she was so friendly and patiently explained everything to us. She makes the mochi donuts fresh daily! And they are AMAZING. We had some around 5pm, and they still tasted fresh and delicious. Definitely try the maple one! They also have a nice selection of boba teas, and I went with the taro milk tea with boba, and my husband tried the brown sugar milk tea with boba. The boba consistency was spot on, and the flavors were great- not overly sweet. Prices were fair. The shop itself is small and welcoming. Can't wait to go back! read more

There must be over 50 choices in various "families" of drinks -fresh brewed teas, milk teas, flavored milks, fruit teas, milk slush, fruit slush, and Matcha/Boba specials. You can trick out your drinks with toppings, jellies, or pearls, and just about everything comes in various sizes and "hot or colds" to make your decisions even more of a whirlwind process. Our server Grace was an absolute delight as she went through the menu with us before we decided on a medium cold Green Tea ($3.75) and a Hot Green Tea ($4.25). Now the fun started as we directed our attention to their gorgeous Mochi donuts ($3.75) and had a tough choice deciding on what to try. Seriously, how can you narrow down a choice between Glazed, Pistachio, Strawberry Sprinkle, Maple Drizzle, Cinnamon Churro, Double Chocolate, Blueberry Cheesecake, Fruity Pebbles, Cannoli, and S'More? We went with a Maple Drizzle and a Cannoli, and they were fantastic. They were rice flour based, soft as a feather inside, very light, very delicate with none of the heavy greasiness so often associated with regular yeast or cake donuts. I also loved the fact that my Maple Drizzle wasn't sickly sweet -it had just enough maple flavor and sweetness to make it perfect. It's comes up quick when your looking for it and the parking is behind the building. It's a small but beautiful space. The lady working was so nice and suggested different combos I could mix. Tea Method is a new boba tea spot in Simsbury. I was excited and had it bookmarked because I love boba tea and mochi donuts. The space was cute and cozy; there were a couple of tables and tall stools for seats. The people working there were friendly. They have a decent sized parking lot in the back. I love places with parking lots. Aside from boba tea and mochi donuts, they have slushies, fruit teas, and lattes (with a twist). The prices of the mochi donuts was cheaper than the closest mochi donut place I've been to, which is in West Hartford. The prices for the boba tea is also cheaper than the closest boba tea spot I've been to, which is in Avon. Prior to going, I couldn't find online anywhere how much their mochi donuts were; once I was in the shop, there's a menu stating that it is $3.75 for one and $20 for half a dozen. I had the brown sugar boba milk tea and it was pretty good. I purchased two mochi donuts, one was caramel churro and the other was s'mores. Those were very delicious; lightly crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. My husband said that the s'mores mochi donuts was the best he's had. I absolutely love the texture of these donuts. Overall, I'm glad there is one even closer to me now. I wish them much success and can't wait to go back and try more menu items! read more

Pulled in at lunchtime on Friday, to this quaint little storefront. These bubble teas were amazing. Delicious, colorful, and appealing to the eye; the bubble teas were made with love. Now, onto the Mochi donuts.... Words cannot describe how delicious these mochi donuts are. I grabbed a half dozen, all different flavors. While I didn't try every one of them, the ones I tried were out of this world, delicious, with a unique kind of sweetness. I'm already craving these again. This is a must try if you are anywhere in the area. If you are not in the area, Tea Method is a destination trip! Service was with a smile, and the place was super clean. There is very limited seating, so I would recommend a grab and go,enjoying the scenery from the surrounding area. I'm not sure if gifts certificates are available, but if so, a gift certificate from here would mean something really special to the recipient. I'm still shaking my head in amazement. Excited that a boba place finally opened up in Simsbury! They have brewed green and black tea, fruit slushies (with things like lychee, mango) and special drinks. Boba is 50 cents additional and drinks are $4.95. You can adjust the sugar and ice levels for most drinks. They also make mochi donuts in various flavors. The space is small, with a few counter chairs and one table. Service is friendly...hope this place thrives in town! The place is easy to miss but it's across the street from Starbucks. We just discovered this hidden gem! My hubby and I finally checked out Tea Method on Hopmeadow Street (located right next to the Police Department). Can you believe we didn't notice it for its first five months of being open?! The shop is super adorable, cozy and spotlessly clean. We decided to indulged in some yummy mochi donuts. Trust me, they are beyond delicious - light as a feather with the perfect texture. Go for a half dozen like we did, you'll even save a few bucks. So happy to have tea and mochi donuts in Simsbury! It was expectedly empty on a weekday morning. It's a small space with a couple tables and was bright with natural light. The staff/owner was very friendly. I tried a rose milk tea with boba and couple mochi donuts. The dark chocolate and churro mochi donuts may be the best in the Hartford area. It was the perfect texture and good balance of flavors. The tea was brewed to perfect strength without milk, but somewhat light with milk added. The boba was good texture and with suble sweetness. Tea Method is brand new to the area. They specialize in bubble tea and mochi donuts. Tea Method is conveniently located across the street from the Pop Over Eatery in Simsbury. I stopped by this afternoon. The space inside is super clean and vibrant. The two young ladies working here, were very friendly and pleasant. They offered me a sample of their vanilla mochi donut. This donut is super soft and fluffy, but it is far too sweet for me. They had a nice variety of other flavors to choose from. They also had a pretty broad menu of bubble teas to choose from. I went with the grapefruit with tapioca pearls, my friend got the peach. They have some high top seating, along with the most beautiful purple Mums. Our drinks were ready pretty quickly. These are very summery drinks, while the days are still pleasant, my summer mode is extending a bit longer. My grapefruit tea was delightfully tart and refreshing. The tapioca was soft and chewy. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcome. I was greeted warmly and offered a sample of a mochi donut.
