I had the salmon with watermelon salsa, home fries and sur la lune tea, my cousin had the dolphin (mahi mahi) with a side salad and chamomile tea, and at the end we shared a key lime pie! Okay ,so I love the whole concept that they have here ; I think it's super cute! I love the whole tea party old Victorian look . I felt like it took me back to that time where ladies would sit around talking about books and ribbons. Also am a big fan of Alice in wonderland so I was super excited to have actual tea time. The tea I had the white ambrosia which was very good . The flavor was very yummy and the smell was super enticing ;) . The split pea soup was very tasty and the vegetables in it cooked very well not mushy like but good soft mushy like . The tower or as I like to say the goods, I like the cucumber sandwich the bread was very fresh and the cucumber very crunchy, the little bake goods I liked as well very fresh and sweet, the tiny cute quiche was so very delicious warm and fluffy. So my issues why I had to give it a 3 star rating :( The decor although cute was to outdated in the since that either they were broken or dirty. The tea cups didn't match with the tea pots, also the dishes where all wrong not matching; I so did not like that. The whole idea around it is cute I loved it but again everything was to rough around the edges so to say. The garden they have is falling apart, the sign where they announce there tea room is like termites have eaten it. I have been coming here for a little over 4 years but this last time made me question everything. Food, service, & knowledgeable explanation to a pre reservations it was subpar. Took about 2 hours to serve us when it requires a reservation for proper service. In which wasn't meant, so it was pointless. To top it all off Francesca in which till this day I don't know what title she holds, made the either party feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. From the moment we where taking pictures, after asking permission. Until the moment we left where she was kicking us out as we walk and where chatting as ladies do. She then followed us around and made sure we felt unwanted for no reason at all. All seems due to pictures we took inside as it it a tea place with cute decor & to be quite frankly that's all this place has to offer; with extremely bad service. I never felt more unwanted in a place in my life. Sad I will no longer recommend this establishment to anyone. read more

My daughter wanted to give me an experience for my Mother's Day gift. Knowing I love tea, she found this hidden gem in Homestead. When she made our reservation, the owner suggested the High Tea service at 11 a.m. or 4 p.m. We opted for 11. We arrived and were greeted graciously be our lovely server. After we'd settled into our seats in the main room, we each ordered a pot of tea. I chose the Earl Grey and my daughter, had the Goji berry. Our steeping pots arrived piping hot. My daughter noted her tea was not overbearingly fruity but sweet enough for her palate. Next, came soup. The Cream of Spinach was loaded with fresh spinach and clearly homemade. I loved it so much when we left, I ordered a quart of soup to bring home. Then, our high tea service arrived. Delectable warm blueberry scones with raspberry jam, mini quiches, deviled eggs, three types of tea sandwiches (crusts removed, of course) and an assortment of desserts. It was a tremendous amount of food. We sampled the scones, quiche, eggs, salmon sandwich, and banana bread. Stuffed we had to take the rest home in two large "to go" containers. It was a wonderful experience from beginning to end. We will definitely be back. read more

Where to even begin. I came to The Tea Room with my mother (in wheel chair), my grandmother (86), and myself (5 months pregnant) for Mother's day 2021.. as a matter of fact, I'm writing this as I sit here waiting for our food to be served. I know that Mother's Day is always a crazy day for restaurants, so i tried to make a reservation via email two days prior explaining that I am traveling with two adults who are considered to be part of the vulnerable population. Given that we are in a pandemic, I really wanted to take as much precaution, but the owner replied saying they did not take reservations. It's also important to note that my mom and grandma rely on special transportation to drop them off and pick them up. My mom arrived at 10:30 am and requested a pick up for 1:30 pm.. at 10:30 my mom arrived and put her name in the list (we were told 1 hr waiting time). After an hour I checked in our status and was told 2 more tables were ahead of us and needed to wait another 30 minute.. so we did and came back after 30 minutes and were told another half an hour.. please note that 3 people were already let in ahead of me. at this point I asked to speak with the manager and explained that we were on a time constraint due to my moms transportation. And were finally seated outside At 12:40 it is now 1:45pm.. and we haven't even gotten bread at the table.. honestly, as pretty as this place is, they are Super disorganized, and extremely inconsiderate. At the very least they should take reservations for elderly and other vulnerable populations, especially for holidays like this. there are so many empty tables and they won't even let people si.. there are elderly people waiting outside in the heat and parties of people who have been waiting hours. At the very leas, sit people down and give them some bread and water. People will be less likely to complain and more willing to wait if they are at least being seated. But the manager refuses. It's bullshit to be honest. This place is poorly managed And it shows with their servers who are burnt out, and the line of complaints coming in behind me as I sit here and continue to wait for my order. Many will ask "why are you still there" the answer is.. it's 2:06 and I'm leaving without my food.. and no I'm not paying either. I'm ordering a pizza and calling it a day. The hostess was rude to us upon our arrival, it was stiflingly hot to all our party (the restaurant defended its position with a stock reply), and we were charged an extra person for our tip. If you're looking for an "out of the ordinary" dining experience, Cauley Square Tea Room is the place for you. This is an amazing place to grab some brunch OR do the traditional "tea and crumpets" thing. So get fancy and put on your best hat before you make your way down south for the afternoon! They have a huge variety of teas, as well as my favorite breakfast potatoes ever. The potatoes alone are a reason to keep me coming back over and over again. Service is good, but the place can get very very crowded as it is a small space...so get there early! One more tip: don't go crazy ordering for breakfast. The portions are gargatuan and can easily be shared by 2-3 people. Love this place! read more

Everything from the napkins to the forks are dainty and it's almost like time-traveling every time you step foot through the doors. There's mirrors and old hats everywhere. It's truly a sight! I like getting a quick snack and tea here as I know their selection is pretty floral which is totally my palettes taste. I like their French onion soup because it's light yet savory. There's plenty of different rooms inside that spread out their dining area throughout vintage decor with each room speaking it's own vibe. This experience was overall average. This place is cute - a bit run down, perhaps. The French onion soup was delicious and so was the Bellini. The fries were crunchy and fresh. The rest of the food though wasn't particularly tasty, the cranberry chicken salad sandwich had too much mayo and the croissant it was on was cold and soggy. The lump crab sandwich was dry and greasy which sounds oxymoronic but somehow it was managed. The worst part was that the salmon on the specials was nothing like what was brought to the table. It turned out that they had made a mistake and cooked the salmon from the previous day. They then took about an hour to fix that problem. I'd come back just to try the tea and the tea servings. When I was little my family would frequent this place for the quaint atmosphere, quiche and homemade desserts. It became our "family" day place. Well, ten years later we finally went back to reminisce on a place we held so dear to our hearts, but were saddened by the unfortunate changes. It appeared to be the same place we remembered with it's vintage charm and painted walls, but the food and service were not the same. First of all, I think there were a total of about 4 other people in the restaurant. I thought, "Oh good not a lot of people are here! That's better for me because I'm starving and we'll get our food faster." Boy was I wrong. I'm not sure why but it took the waiter a while to take our orders, serve the food AND bring the check. By the time we were done, no one was in the restaurant. Still unsure as to why everything took long. Anyways, on to the food. I got the spinach quiche which was a huge slice, ONE plus from my entire visit. The taste was just okay. Nothin' special. Again, we frequented this place over ten years ago because it was our family day place, what did I know about flavors and food as a little kid?! (Obviously not much) My sister ordered a BLT which was okay with a side of fries, but they ran out of fries. Who runs out of fries? Can someone not slice potatoes and throw them in the fryer to improvise for a customer? All these years I had this concept in my mind thinking this place rocked my world, but I now see that this was based on my nostalgic family memories. I don't see myself going back unless changes are made. At the end of the day, everything took longer than it should have and I was not impressed with the new ownership. There are theme style rooms and this place is perfect for bridal shower, baby shower, girls day out even a little ladies first tea. Tea for one, tea for two, two for me and tea for you! The Cauley Square Tea Room is something special and one of a kind in our tucked away section of town known as "Cauley Square." In the deep part of South Miami, practically homestead or Naranja, is this fielded and mostly industrial area where you will find all sorts of agriculture; however there also a little known spot with small shops and even, well, a tea room! Make a reservation and alert what you will be ordering if possible, that way they can have items prepared for you. The different occasions we visited, they either were or were not prepared for us and the wait, while was not long, was a bit unsettling. The inside and out takes you to a storybook realm, something that you almost do not want to even touch or look at for too long as it seems fragile and delicate. But all is real and all is good. From the triangle sandwiches to the many flavors or hot tea, men and women can enjoy either with friends, family, or a romantic little "getaway" for couples. Pricing seems modest and for what you will get, and the ambiance, the value is surely there. Make sure to give yourself plenty of time to "dine" but also to walk around the forrest area that lies in and around the tea room. There are little shops as aforementioned, but we can save that for another review. So make a reservation, go early on a Sunday and or Saturday, and parking should be not an issue. They have a private lot, but if that is full, there is plenty in and around the Cauley Square area in general. Enjoy! read more

Walking into this place is like walking into your grandmothers dining room. Doilies everywhere, mismatched chairs at every table, little tiffany lamps all over. It's darling. I had a snack here with some girlfriends once, we ordered a little platter of finger sandwiches. Everything was adorable. The servers were polite and diligent, the food was fresh, and the experience as a whole was absolutely charming. It is quite a drive from where I live... but it's a nice place to take a day trip to see every once in a while. I've been a regular at the Tea Room for years. High Tea is one of my favorite things to have there. They have great menu items aside from their tea time offerings, but I feel the arrangement of the tea, quiche, sandwiches and desserts are great. Soup is also included with the package. The only issue with this place is parking if there's an event going on in the historical village it's nestled in. With maybe only 6-10 other diners in the entire place I was seated for 10 mins before receiving water. Another 10 mins passed before taking my order. My spinach, mushroom, ham & cheese omelette arrived missing the spinach but I was charged for it. No water refills. Daughter's togo order was missing her side order of potatoes (something we of course didn't notice until we got home), etc., etc. They need more attentive servers. read more

I feel like I just stepped into Pride & Prejudice. I LOVE the concept in this place. You hear the word "tea" and you think pinky up! This cozy spot is situated in Homestead, inside of Cauley Square. My grandmother remembers visiting Cauley Square 30 years ago so its been around for some time. The place is decorated with mismatched saucers and teacups, old photographs, rustic silverware, and all kinds of dainty things. They even support local businesses by acting as a store front for them. They sell jewelry inside by the hostess. I did not get to eat here, but if you are looking for a different setting for a nice girls tea brunch, this is the place to go. You are a short drive away from Knaus Berry Farm & Schnebly's winery. Believe me, it wont be a waste of a trip. read more

thanks to my better half's suggestion through careful research, we came to check out this place and what a wonderful gem of a find! it's located inside this wonderful old world nostalgia block of wonderland called cauley square (US1 & 224 St) in the middle of a modernized industrial society all around... this one is a must do! travel back in time and find yourself looking at all that adorns every nook and cranny of this wonderful place! they have this spiced home-made tea infused w lemonade served hot that you must try! I mixed mine w hot jasmine tea and it was awesome. we ordered spinach eggs benedict but you can substitute the spinach w ham, turkey or smoked salmon to your liking plus a side of home fries, oatmeal, or fruits. the food was good and the service was great. noelia was our server and she was attentive and helpful in every aspect even though the place got packed towards the end of our meal. the restroom is nice and overall clean and even had a full sized mirror by the door on the way to help make sure you look your best before heading back out to your table. the place is full of interesting nostalgia and even old style singer sewing machines repurposed as side tray tables and even dining tables for two. if you happen to sit in a smaller table for two be sure to look under the linen! i am not much for old style china and decor but even a minimalist will find this place interesting and humbling so come in and have a cup of hot tea and enjoy a sandwich or hot meal! cheers! read more

I loved this place !!! It was so cute and dainty. It had the perfect set up for a tea party and lunch with your girls. They have different rooms and even a dress up area with hats you can wear and feel like you are really in the atmosphere tea party mood. It's actually a very cute place for a baby shower or bridal shower if you're going for that rustic/chic tea party theme. The food was also very very good. My friend for the French onion soup which I tried and had to order one for myself because it was that good !! As my meal I for the quesadillas and added to chicken to them which were amazing ! and my friend had the lobster club sandwich which she could hardly finish because it was so big and my other friend had one of their specials of the day which was the salmon , all very very delicious and flavorful.
