Boiled chicken breast. Supposed to be khao man khai
    Rocky B.

I believe Tea Rose is under new ownership, but unfortunately, the quality has really declined. As shown in the photo, this is just plain boiled chicken breast--definitely not proper Khao Man Gai. It didn't even come with the usual side of soup. For the price, the portion was really small, and I left feeling both hungry and disappointed.

I was surprised to find this place today...I didn't know that there is a Thai restaurant in the parking lot of Planet Gym or Burlington! It's a cute little restaurant in the middle of a busy marketplace with nice seating arrangements inside. We ordered 3 items to-go: Pho w/ Stewed Beef, Chicken Pad Thai & Chasew Nut w/ Tofu rice bowl. It took only 10 mins for out food to get ready which I thought was very impressive. However, I did not like the tastes of the dishes that much but that's my personal preference. I'm planning on going back again to try more items and their drinks.

There are three tables in the restaurant that seat four people each and a counter where probably four more could sit. When we were there at lunchtime about seven people cycled through. Service was fairly efficient and fast. We waited about five minutes to order and about 10 minutes for our food. Service was friendly. The food was delicious and the servings huge. We each had enough for another meal. With two entrees, two fountain drinks ($3 each with refills), and cream cheese wontons, our bill came to about $39. We will be back!

Rating (maximum points = 5) Value for money: 4 Cleanliness: 4 Food Quality: 3 Customer Service: 3 Look and Feel (Ambiance): 3 Thank you, Come Again?: 3 Tucked away beside the Capriotti's sandwich shop on 6014 S State Street, Tea Rose Thai Express is a quick-service restaurant that serves home style Thai meals. Plastered all over the building are signs notating that they offer drive-thru services. Unfortunatley my partner and I have tried on at least 3 occasions and have come across a non-serviceable window. A menu is no longer displayed next to the drive-thru window and makes it impossible for customers to know what is available to order unless they physically go inside. Reccomendation for the restaurant is to either update/add back the menu and offer drive-thru services again, or just remove that option completely. My partner and I gave up on the drive-thru and went inside after 5 minutes of waiting at the window and no customer service. Curry Puff - The homemade fried flaky pastry has robust curry flavor and a crunchy crispy exterior. This appetizer dish was priced at $5.20 and came with a cucumber vinegerette style sauce. It's a little pricey for two triangle pastries but I understand the labor that goes into making them. The oil on the pastry unfortunatley tasted rancid but the filling was pleasant. Tom Kar - This coconut soup was delicious and full of mushrooms and chicken. The price of the flavorful soup was $12.48. It was a tasty soup but got too sour after 3 bites. Pad Thai - I was looking forward to trying this dish but unfortunately the rice noodles were overcooked and the sauce was on the sweet side. The dish came to be $12.48. Yellow Curry - this dish was the sweetest one of all. I could taste the curry flavor but all I could think of was too much sugar. I'm not sure if the $12.48 we spent on this dish was worth it. Thai Iced Tea and Boba - The Thai Tea was refreshing and had good tea flavor. Skip the tapioca pearls. They were hard and didn't have much flavor. The drink is priced at $6.00. Overall, I'm not sure if I'd returned but I'm glad i was still able try out their food after multiple failed trips through their "drive-thru". Would you go? Let me know. Follow me for all the Salt City sips and trips.

I was so excited to see a takeout Thai place as I was just passing by and had to check it out. Probably not the very best pad see ew I've had but it definitely a solid 3-4 stars. The noodles were a little soft but the flavor was quite good. I will definitely be back.

The food here is every bit as good as Tea Rose. This is the best kept secret in Utah apparently as I sat by myself for my meal, but it was very enjoyable. I ordered the green curry with chicken and it was creamy, a hint of sweet, and spicy with perfectly crisp and fresh veggies. Absolutely delicious. Cannot recommend this place enough, but also love having it to myself. You have to come here.

What an incredible dish. The slight spice and abundant flavor in every bite makes me want to go back just for that. The Panang Curry was tasty and well done but it did have a slightly overpowering taste - we deemed this to be from the fish sauce. Still recommend, but not quite as smooth as other Panang Curry we have frequented. The Khao Ka Moo and Yum Woon Sen provided some variety in the typical Thai Dishes and they were phenomenal as I attempted to broaden my Thai cuisine palate. The variety of food choices gave off an authentic experience when paired with the traditional Southeast Asian decor found around the walls and ceiling. I sat near a wood panel divider that separated us from the front door and it provided exceptional separation from the happenings at the front of the store despite us being rather closing to the register and door. The service was slower than expected but the house was packed and our original server was sent home after a burn from the kitchen so they were understaffed on an absolutely crazy Valentines Day night. My Fiancé and I highly recommend this restaurant to all!

The broth has excellent flavor with just the right touch of spice, the beef is tender, and the soft bread soaks it all up perfectly. It's messy in the best way possible. The Thai Smash Burger is also excellent -- bold, well-balanced flavors that really stand out. I've enjoyed the drunken noodles as well (great heat and savory depth), and the cucumber salad makes a refreshing side that balances the richer dishes. Location & Vibe: Noodlehead is tucked into the Millcreek development. Depending on traffic and timing, it can be either super convenient or a bit tricky. For me, it's a perfect stop on the way home from work. The service deserves special mention. Every time I've gone, the same guy has been working. He's genuinely friendly, efficient, and seems to be holding down the fort solo. You can tell he takes pride in what he's doing. Overall, Noodlehead delivers solid, flavorful Asian-fusion food with friendly service. I'll definitely be back.

It was incredibly loud in their area because there was a bunch of pots and pans banging. When we got our order, more disappointment. They were super sweet and chewy, probably under cooked. I've seen several posts calling it a "dupe," so I was really excited to try it. Unfortunately, my experience didn't live up to that expectation, and I wouldn't recommend coming here specifically for that comparison. The restaurant itself is clean and has an authentic feel. The hostess was kind, though very soft-spoken and a bit hard to hear. I did appreciate that she noticed we had kids and thoughtfully set our table with kid-friendly plates and bowls, which was a nice touch. We ordered a variety of items to get a good feel for the menu. I was especially excited to share this experience with my husband, but overall, he wasn't a fan of several of the dishes. That said, there were definitely some highlights. My kids and I really enjoyed the ham fried rice, beef and broccoli, and the chicken dumplings--those were all flavorful and satisfying. The spicy wontons, however, were disappointing. The sauce tasted mostly like oil and water, lacking the flavor I expected. I did mention it to our server, who was very understanding. She offered a replacement and ended up removing it from our check, which I appreciated. Overall, while there were a few dishes we liked and would recommend, the experience as a whole didn't quite hit the mark for us. We likely won't be returning.
