While the bagels were pretty good I was really disappointed that they didn't have a grill.. travelled to nj /ny/ pa to see family and stayed in Teaneck (not my original hometown) but got bagels b4 we left for pa. Went in on the hopes of having a breakfast sandwich and they don't have a grill- very unfortunate. Bagels were good though, good flavor and taste and fresh.

Went to visit my parents and they are big fans of this place. There are many bagel spots closer to where they live but they will make the drive here because it's just that great. They make the bagels fresh on location and they have many cream cheese options. I ordered the multigrain bagel with walnut raisin cream cheese but forgot to take a picture before I ate it. My sister got a sesame bagel with scallion cream cheese and that's always her go-to. Service is fast and the staff is friendly - definitely worth the trip here!

Solid bagels with a great texture. When toasted, they have a nice crisp on the outside while staying soft and chewy on the inside. The only downside is that ordering can get a bit chaotic during busy times.

My brother- in- law raves so much about Teaneck Road Hot Bagels. He says he's doomed once he starts his new job in a few weeks because he will be making a stop every day because it is that good. I'll be trying out their bagels next time. We went in to pick up a bagel with my brother-in- law. I have never seen a bagel place where you can see the bagels piled up along the glass. Visually it looked cool. Our lil guy was standing there and staring at the customers. Keep the fresh bagels comin'

    Tuna spread on plain bagel

This is my first time visiting this bagel shop, it's 6:30 a.m. It wasn't very busy when I arrived. A lady asked what I was getting. I said, "I'm getting BEC on a plain bagel." I assumed they'd have bacon, egg, and cheese, just like in NY, but they don't have meat. She asked, "Tomatoes? Lettuce?" I replied, "Yes, tomatoes and lettuce, please." "Are you only getting one bagel?" I replied, "Yes." She turned around and flicked her hand as if I were annoying her. I didn't see her face, but one can imagine how it looked. I wanted to get coffee, but I changed my mind. Her attitude already ruined my appetite. Before I visited this place, I asked Google what the best bagel shop in NJ was, and this store came up. $9.98 for a tuna spread on a plain bagel with lettuce and tomatoes - reasonably priced. She prepared it fast, less than 5 minutes. Am I going to return to this shop? - No Should you try their bagel? - Yes, the ingredients were fresh, the tuna spread tastes good too. Lesson: You may have the best bagel in NJ, but how you treat your customer still matters. Recommendations: A little touch of smile when you greet your customer. A little "Thank you, please come back again." will surely not hurt you. "I'm sorry we don't have meat in our menu." Remember, you might be the first person you encounter in the morning, and you will surely influence their mood.

Great place to get bagels! I enjoyed their lox bagel, perfect portion sizes, bread was chewy and fresh, highly recommend!

I love me an everything bagel, with lox spread. Came here upon recommendation, did not disappoint! They added a reasonable amount of cream cheese, added tomato and onions alongside the smoked salmon. Only side note; add a bit more salmon, they only add a sliver. The bagel was soft and chewy, very filling and delicious. Would recommend to anyone around the area, seems quite busy, the folks love them.

The reviews are true, this is the best bagel out there. Perfectly warm, and the right amount of cream cheese. Soft and chewy on the inside. I wish I was a local so I could have one every morning!

Wow great bagels and an unbelievable Lox sandwich! Is it worth $13-$15 for this? I should've asked what the price was thought I seen $7.50 on the board.

Stopped by Teaneck Road Hot Bagels around 7:30 AM, and the place was bustling with people coming and going--always a good sign! I ordered a lox sandwich with capers, onions, and cream cheese on an everything bagel, and it was so good. The bagels have that perfect crisp exterior with a dense, soft inside--exactly how a bagel should be. I do wish we had asked for it toasted, though, as that would've taken it to the next level. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating, even with the morning rush, which made the experience even better. They have a great variety of bagels, and we picked up a dozen for about $15, which felt like a solid deal. We had them for breakfast the next morning, toasted this time, and they were definitely even better. We also grabbed some cream cheese from there--definitely pricier than what you'd find at the grocery store, but we needed it at the time, so no big deal. Overall, great spot for fresh bagels with friendly service. We'll definitely be back (but we'll remember to toast next time!).

One of the better made bagel shops around! It's hard to mess up a bagel when you are on the East Coast, but you still can. This place is the holy grail of all bagel shops and it competes with the best of them... doughy, fluffy, flavorful- this place means business! Came in around 9:30am and it was packed, but the line was moving. Plenty of staff to take your order so come in knowing what you want. I can eat a bagel by itself if it's fresh out of the oven. Why mess with perfection when it's freshly made, and one bite is not the rule... not with this carb masterpiece! Why I did not give it a full 5 star is based solely on my opinion... --No bagel sandwiches (cold or hot). No eggs and no deli meats... just spreads and fish (tuna, white, salmon lox). --Each bagel is not made equally. Consistency is key when crafting one of these bad boys, and if they are not equal in size, shape or toppings then I feel cheated. --The tuna sandwich I also got was quite tasty with a nice soft roll, BUT, they did not have shredded lettuce or other condiments other than lettuce, tomatoes (extra fee) and onions for this sandwich... I like my tuna sandwich with: shredded lettuce, onions, hot peppers and oil & vinegar- in which they did not have. Other than that, fresh made bagels round the clock with a selection of spreads and plenty of staff to assist makes this a great spot. You won't be disappointed if you are looking for a legit bagel. FYI: Parking is located in the back and side of building, and is shared with the other businesses in the small shopping center.

Everything bagel with scallion cream cheese.

I used to have a local bagel place in Jersey City but their bagels have gotten smaller and a little harder. So on a quest to find a good bagel replacement, we went to Yelp and came upon Teaneck Road Hot Bagels. They had great ratings and although a little drive over, it was doable if we found the food to be worth it. So we took a drive over to Teaneck, ordered our bagels, and when we bit into their warm and soft bagels, and knew we'd find our replacement place. We've first visited this place two years ago, and we've made the drive over a dozen times since. The staff is friend, the service is quick, you never have to wait long, and pricing is reasonable.

Everything lox and cream cheese w the works. Capers, onion and tomato!

There's no need to worry about street parking because they have a small parking lot up front. I stopped by on a late Sunday afternoon, craving a breakfast sandwich. Yes, I eat breakfast after 2pm... shoot me! The ambiance is a little more "elevated" than your usual deli. It's bright, clean, and modern with a good amount of seating. They also have wifi. I can see this also being a study/work spot during off-peak hours. They have a large variety of both breakfast and lunch options - bagels, pancakes, waffles, omelettes, burgers, salads, and savory sandwiches. Additionally, they also have tea, coffee, smoothies, and juices. What makes them stand out are their artisanal bagel flavors and gourmet cream cheese spreads. They have a lot of unique flavors, both sweet and savory. I ordered: *2 Eggs, Cheese and Meat Breakfast Sandwich ~$7 - I got mine with taylor ham and salt/pepper/ketchup on a toasted everything bagel. This was a satisfying and hearty meal! The bagel crust was crispy, while the interior was dense, fluffy, and chewy. The taylor ham was smoky and salty, which paired well with the creamy cheese and eggs. *Iced Coffee with milk & sugar ~$4 - The coffee was just okay. It was on the weaker side. A little too much milk. The service was friendly, welcoming, and quick. The employee let me sample a few of their cream cheeses. I also got to meet the chef, Miguel, who told me more about the business! I'll definitely be returning to try their artisanal bagels... I have my eyes on the french toast and parmesan ones!

We ordered a classic sausage, egg, and cheese on a roll and this time, I also wanted to investigate their bagel game. I ordered an everything bagel with veggie cream cheese and it took just a few bites to remind this newly transplanted Southerner that bagels in the Northeast are in a league of their own. Food comes out fast. We both watched admiringly from our tables as the short order cooks moved like tornados at the grill, furiously beating bowl after bowl of eggs to fulfill the counter endless string of orders. That's another thing. During the whole half hour we dined at a table, things never quieted. As soon as a table cleared, someone else would grab it right away. Over the years, I've found that when in doubt, it's best to follow the crowds. On most Saturday mornings, it seems this is the place where all the crowds in Ridgefield Park are congregating. This breakfast spot is as local as it gets. As a lover of small business, I can't tell you secretly happy I get to see lines at the door here while the Dunkin Donuts across the street languishes.

Java Day Cafe came up and it was really close to both of us so we decided to come here. The place is nestled in a small strip mall with other stablishments so luckily that means there's ample parking. There's also a fair amount of seating. You order at the counter and let them know if you want to take your food to go or if you'd like to dine-in. I was pretty hungry coming off a 12-hour shift so I got the Hungryman sandwich with a hash brown on the side. They have a few options as far as French toast goes and my girlfriend decided on Nutella stuffed. Our food came out rather quickly considering how busy they seemed to be. A few other parties were dining in and a good amount of people picked up takeout. My sandwich was much bigger than I anticipated but it was delicious. The various meats brought the saltiness and savory flavor I was looking for and it all paired well with the eggs and cheese. The bread it was served in had a nice crunch to it which is always appreciated. The sandwich was great but the next time I get it I have to add the SPK (salt, pepper, ketchup for you non-Jerseyans). I also tried some of my girlfriends French toast. It looked really good and I think I saw them take a picture before bringing it to our table. I'm not mad at that, as a Yelper I'm a firm follower of phone-eats-first! The French toast was delicious. It wasn't overly sweet and the bread had the all-important crunch. Walnuts also added good texture to everything. I think the only thing stopping me from rating this place 5-stars is the price. It's definitely on the pricier side. My girlfriend and I got coffees with our food and everything came out to a few bucks short of $50. Nevertheless, a very solid breakfast spot. I could see myself coming back. I found it weird that they have such nice plates but they only have plastic utensils. Not a knock on them, just a quirky thing I noticed.
